It was almost the dark and cold night of November when Anmol’s family moved to their native village at their grandfather's house from a city.
As Anmol looked at the car’s window, she turned the mirror down and her sweet home could be seen clearly from there.
She closed her eyes, utter a sigh and they departed by saying, “Adieu!”
Mrs. Imad with her children moved at her father’s place. Mrs. Imad is a young widow of thirty-two. She is a simple and innocent lady.
She is not well educated as she got married at the very young age.
She is a single mother who have to brought up her children all alone. She pretend to be very brave and energetic lady outwardly.
But Anmol saw her broken inwardly, she saw her crying at nights secretly from her children.
She cried for Mr. Imad that left her alone, she cried for her children’s future, she sored for their sad and pale faces and she used to offer night prayers for her children’s success and prosperity.
In the next chilly morning of November, Mrs. Imad awoke Anmol and greeted well on the breakfast table.
Mrs. Imad passing her boiled egg and a cup of tea asked, “My dear girl Anmol, You are the shiny star!”
“You have to shine my girl, begin your life my daughter with new enthusiasm!”
Mrs. Imad said, “People of my village are so kind, simple and sincere soon you will be friend of everyone.”
Mrs. Imad doing kitchen utensils asked, “ My beloved, learn to be contented with your life!”
She asked, “See here my dear, contentment is a blessing!”
“Ups and downs are the part of life, soon things will go better my dear daughter, keep courage!”
Anmol indicated her consent by nodding her head for her kindly-hearted mother but inwardly she is disturbed by this miserable change.
She was still feeling nostalgic and thinking fondly for her sweet home.
As Mrs. Imad suffered a lot in her life, she suffered in her married life too and got many troubles.
So, she just wanted to see her younger daughter Anmol Imad as a highly educated woman and financially independent in her life.
So that never ever Anmol should suffer as her mother in her life so she just wants to see her financially stable.
So Mrs. Imad did everything for her daughter and provided her everything so she may got education properly and fulfilled her every wish.
Anmol Imad is a teenage girl of sixteen. She is an attractive girl with brown eyes like her daddy.
Anmol is a frisky and naughty girl but now she is losing all her personality charms because she is fighting a battle inside of her own mind. And it is consuming her soul completely.
Anmol missed her daddy Mr. Imad and got upset that now she can’t see her daddy, he is no more with her and she got more upset when she find her kindly hearted mother suffering all alone for her children.
As she is not mature enough so she find herself incompatible with the village life and encounter many problems all alone quietly.
She was unhappy about being away, longing for familiar things and the persons.
Anmol had many questions in her mind which disturbed her every time that why all this happened to her?
Why her happy life has been changed?
How can she begin her life here in this village?
As she has no friends here.
This made hers sleep and eating disorder.
She also missed her childhood friends, her cousins and that classmate with whom she had decided to got admission in the same college because both friends are among the best top ten students of the institute.
She is at war with herself. She used to cry at nights secretly from her mother.
She used to talk with God that, “O’ Mighty God, ease my life and heal my broken soul!”
She is slowly victimized by overthinking.
Overthinking killed her every moment of happiness. She used to overthink even on a trivial issues. Overthinking controlled her body and mind.
Her soul has been torn into pieces, she is dying inwardly as she got a strange communication gap with her mother.
There is no one who can understand her inner terrible pain because she smiled in front of everyone and pretend to be brave and alright.
But all this make her stern, pessimist and she adopted the negative view of life that life is worst.
She found solution of every problem in her death because to her, “Life is a bed of thorns, life is not good to her.”
Nothing good will happen in her life so, she decided she can’t continue her studies she will not do anything constructive.
She is growing as a rebel and unruly.
Two Months Later!
The actual twist came into her life when it’s one of January’s cold and foggy morning.
Anmol is just having breakfast with her loving mother.
Suddenly, Mr. Nevad the younger brother of Mrs. Imad entered the house. He just came from his university. He greeted with a smile on his face.
Mr. Nevad is a tall, wide and sweet man of twenty-eight.
Mrs. Imad asked him for a breakfast, “but he said no, he has just taken it from a nearly roadside restaurant and now he will just take tea.”
Mrs. Imad picked up the kettle and poured the hot tea in a cup and passed it to Mr.Nevad.
While taking a cup of tea in his hand, Mr. Nevad asked, “Anmol what you had decided about your studies?
As earlier, Anmol had decided that she can’t resume her studies or at this time not any college will take her admission because there is very short time remaining in the annual exam.
Mr. Nevad who also wanted to see her succeeded like her mother, took a sip of tea and breathe deeply.
He is a great supporter of education, encouraged her to continue her studies and motivated her through many examples. He is more highly educated with a PhD in Political Science. He is a sweet man as well who have a great sense of humour that he make her laugh with cracking jokes.
He made her enough confident that she should resume her studies.
And finally, she decided to continue her studies.
She decided to resume because her daddy also wished to see her succeeded in her life.
Her daddy used to ask her in her childhood , “You are the sight to my sour eyes!”
“ You are the star of my eyes my daughter!”
“You have to shine like a star on the sky, my little one!”
She felt solace and calmness by recalling her father’s words of strong attachment.
So, now there is only two months remaining in the exams her uncle paid the double fee after due date and sent her admission.
She looked at the books with heavy heart, breathe heavily and utter a sigh.
She cried at nights, missed her daddy, her sweet home, her previous institute & her friend with whom she used to study but along with all these depressing thoughts she is preparing for her exam diligently which would be just conducted in the next month so, she has a very short time but she performed well and at the result day she got first division.
She was very surprised and happy at that day, her mother and her uncle was also very happy for her.
Gradually, this success and struggle of a short span of time enabled her to adopt positive view of life, that life is interesting!
Now, she is growing healthily, she is in the process of under construction because her sweet mother diagnosed her problem, guided her politely about the reality of life and console her by telling about the reward of patience which sure we will get from the God who is “The All Compassionate.”
These words impacted like a magic and heal her distress soul.
So this helped Anmol to break the habit of overthinking.
She promised with her mother that she will never overthink again and she will put her believe in God more strongly.
So, to make her mother happy she pay heed to her studies, worked diligently for long hours and this is the reason that she have finally done her masters and now doing her professional degree.
Her wounds and sufferings transformed her into a warrior.
Anmol is very happy and contented with her life and advised every sensitive soul that do fight with every obstacle which come in your way, but just never give up!
“Life is a precious gift from the God who is the Great Creator.”
And now she holds a wider vision that “Everything in life happens for a reason, circumstances changed so, you just can learn to let go things!”
“Things go wrong in life so that, you appreciate them when they are right!”
“And sometimes, good things fall apart, so better things can fall together!”
And Anmol got the best of everything which she have lost earlier in her life.

“Life is a bed of thrones,” thorns? The pressure of expectation is heavy for children to bear. You capture that well.
