The Magic Book and Toy Shop

One day a little 7 year old girl named Luna went into the bookstore just down the street. The bookstore was for everyone, young or old, short or tall, skinny or not. The bookstore allowed everyone and everything to come in. When Luna came in everything started moving, the floor started moving, and more. When Luna saw the toys and books move she was in awe but as soon as the floor started moving she got scared. A man who looked like he was around 25 came out of nowhere. Luna got scared and started crying. 

The man went up to Luna and said “It’s alright nothing nor no one will hurt you.” 

Luna sniffled and stopped crying.

“Where am I? I want to go home,” Luna said. 

“You just walked into a magical book and toy store. Everything moves in here, things can walk and talk, and more.” the man said. 

“What’s your name sir?” Luna asked. 

“My name is Sir James Ronald. I’m the owner of this store.” James said. 

“Wow, that’s a cool name. Are you a knight?” Luna wanted to know. 

“No I’m not a knight, it’s just what I like to call myself.” James responded. 

“That’s silly. I’ve never met someone who does that.” Luna told James.

James chuckles for a few seconds then says “I know but certain people like it, and I like it.”

“I like it but I think its kinda funny. Then again a lot of things make me laugh since im only 7.” Luna said.

“Oh, I thought you were at least 10.” James told Luna.

“It’s alright, a lot of people do that.” Luna had told James.

“Is the reason why people think you’re older is that you’re taller than the average 7 yr old?” James had asked.

“Yeh, I got it from both my parents. My mom is 6’0 and my pa is 6’ 4.” Luna mentioned.

“Dang, your parents are tall. Mine are 5’5 and 5’11.” James said.

“Yeah, I’m supposed to be in between their heights. I’m supposed to be at 6’2 by the time I’m 18.” Luna said embarrassed. 

“Hey, there’s no need to be embarrassed about that. Also how tall are you right now?” James remarked.

“I’m a 5 foot 7 yr old female.” Luna said while smiling. 

James chuckles.

“Well….. Do you want to shop for books and/or toys now?” James asked.

“Yeah. If I don’t go back home without something my mom will get suspicious about it.” Luna said.

“Ok, well you can go shopping now.” James told Luna.

“Ok.” Luna said before walking over to the toy section.

A few minutes pass by and Luna is still looking at the toys. James is at the register listening to music through his Bluetooth earbuds while waiting for Luna to find what she wants. A couple more minutes pass and Luna finally finds what she wants from the toy section.

“Ah, this is what I want. A set of monster trucks, I didn’t know they made sets of them but whatever it’s what I want. Now imma go look at the books and see which one I’d like to buy.” Luna said to herself.

A couple minutes pass, it’s now 2:30 pm and Luna finds the book aisle. Luna starts to look at the kids fiction and fantasy aisle. She’s looking and looking till she finds the perfect book. She takes the book off the shelf and reads the back of it. She reads the back out loud.

“A girl who lives in a world where magic is illegal and anyone who uses or believes in magic shall be banished and never able to come back. The girl believes in magic and soon finds out that she has magical powers. What will she do? Will she go someone and learn how to use her power? Will the people find out and banish her?” Luna read.

“Wow… I’m getting this book no matter what.” Luna said happily. 

Luna continues walking and doesn’t find anything else she wants to buy so she goes to the register to pay.

“Hey Sir Ronald, I found the two things I want. I’m ready to pay for them.” Luna told Ronald. 

“Ok, put them up here and I’ll scan them.” James instructed. 

Luna does as asked and James scans them. It makes a beep noise every time he scanned them. There was one two beeps because Luna only got two things.

“Ok, that’ll be $15.40… How will you be paying, cash or card?” James said and asked.

“I’ll be using cash.” Luna said.

Luna takes a 20 dollar bill out of her pocket and hands it to James.

“Here you go Sir Ronald. All I have is a 20, so I’ll need money back.” Luna said.

“Ok here’s your change of 4 dollars and 60 cents.” James told Luna.

“Thanks Sir. I got to go home now… It’s most likely almost 3 and my mom is probably starting to worry right about now.” Luna said.

“Ok, bye be safe on your way back home.” James said.

“I will, bye Sir Ronald. I’ll be back I don’t know when though.” Luna responded. 

“Ok, well see you again whenever that may be.” James said.

Luna gets home exactly at 3 pm and her mom hugged Luna and asked her where she had been for so long. Luna told her mom that she was still at the book and toy shop, it took her sometime to find what she wanted to buy. Her mom was very happy to know that her daughter was okay but Luna's mom was pretty scared when she didn't know where her daughter was.

Cliffhanger I think I don’t really know

This took me a couple of hours to do. I hope you enjoy my story. I was playing minecraft with my cousin and I looked on here and noticed that I had 3 hrs left to write this so I wrote the ending fast so if its not perfect please don't judge. I had to write fast.
