The Debt that Ignites Justice

After the rainbow ends the storm, fallen leaves scattered on the road. With some blood splattered and turns the green into dark brown. Hence, they’re ready for fertilizing.

A Janitor put a sour face and tighten his mask, and then brooms the leaves and collect them at the bin.

Who the hell fight over here last night? He grumbled.

It is not sure if he is annoyed by the dirt or He is afraid of getting a disease with the unsanitary blood.

The night before that, Alice was on the way home from the club. She was walking towards the Greenmister road and then she waited beside the power pole waiting for the taxi as usual. After she finished one and two cigarettes the taxi is not yet arrived, she is getting nervous, and unfortunately the rain starts dropping and wet down her smoke.

Dear Lord, what is happening to me today? Sigh, my cigarettes also dead. This is the worse! Shout Alice nagging to herself.

Nearby, there are homeless people walking by and recognized Alice was standing on her own, they were three people. One of them nods his head and signed that they will attack Alice. They surrounded Alice with a knife they got from their jacket.

Wealth or Death? Said the middle guy

AAaaaaaaaghhhhh, SOMEBODY HELP!!!, shout Alice

Alice panicked and foolishly shouting like already getting hurt, that makes the thug shocked and angry, they turned their head checking their surroundings, is there anybody can help the girl.

Luckily, some guy randomly rides a bike in the middle of nowhere in the night and run towards Greenmister road. Two of the thugs raised their armed hand with a knife and scared the guy named Johnny. From twenty meters long the ring in his middle finger whispered him,

“50 dollar if you want to help that girl, how about it, pretty cheap right?”

“Sigh, come on dude, I’m broke, how about 20 dollar?”

“Alright then, but the power will be lowered by half, if you die, it’s on you then hahahaha”

Was the ring Alive? That is what happened in Johnny’s life, after he picked up the cursed ring from the sewer, his day now getting complicated being the heroes in debt. The ring can transfer its power through credit, but Johnny must pay within 7 days, otherwise the ring will suffer him with tremendous pain.

After crunching with his head, Johnny starts taking his deep breath, and then shouted

"EN GARDE!!"

That was a code to activate the ring’s power through his finger. Suddenly Johnny speeds up his bike and then jump to land a flying knee kick.

Hiyaaahhh!!!

The rain is pouring harder, but the situation is getting hot. Because Johnny chose to fight.

“You Fool! just go away, there’s no gain for you helping this girl. Take this!!”

Shout a thug stabbing his knife to Johnny’s hand.

(Syuuuttt..) (Takkk…)

The knife successfully landed on Johnny’s hand, but strange, it is not pouring any blood. And the knife stuck in his hand while Johnny continue to counterattack.

“You Rugrats, get the hell out of here!!”

(BAKK BUKK BAKK BUKK...)

Johnny kicks their leg and put their face towards each other for sure.

BRAKK…

Surely there’s blood on their face, and they run away from him like a scaredy cat. His hand stabbed with two knives, but then he walks like superman and charges to the final thug.

With Alice in his possession, he threatened Johnny with the knife upon her neck.

One more step and this girl ends here!! Says the Thug

Johnny startled, and take his breath. He can’t rush helping the girl or something crazy will happened. He chose to wait and negotiate.

The Rain is now playing thunder. With the soaked hair, Johnny continues unplug the knives from his arm, showing the superman thing to the thug. The scars healed gradually with some smoke out. Ooh, that’s scary.

As the guy frightened and tremble, Alice notice his grab is weakened. Then she grab his hand and bites.

“AHHHKKKK, shit, I’ll kill YOU!!!”, shout the thug

He raised his knife and try stabbing her, but Johnny acts rapidly and charges so they all crash.

BRUUKKKKK, Serrr….

Some blood poured on the road, oh snapped it was Johnny’s blood, the knife successfully hit him on his back.

(Shit, the time is over), Johnny aware that he is out of time.

He continues unplug the knife and threaten the thug. With the knife out of his hand, the thug is trembling and then finally run away from Alice and Johnny.

The fight ends here, Alice saw Johnny lie down on the pole with some blood on his back.

“Are you okay? We must go to the hospital now!!”, said Alice

“But I have no money for that”

“Relax, I’ll fix it for you. You saved my life”

Unfortunately, no taxi swing by that road that night, so Alice chose to brought Johnny with his bike. After taking care from the hospital, Johnny finally cured, and Alice paid for the bill that states 30 Dollar for the service. The Ring laughed and whispered again to the guy

“That’s because you don’t wanna pay me full, hahahahha”

“You bastard, why do i should pay for helping others? I’m poor you know”

“Muahaha, you must realize there’s no free lunch in this world kid, grow up. You can leave the girl without paying a penny you know”

“Yeah you were right, but if that is my choice, I will end up with a psychiatrist, do you know how much that cost? Thousands… Damn!”

“Whatever bro, that’s your business, I can offer you power, as long as you pay for it HAHAHAHA”

“I know, I know, geez you’re getting more annoying”

“But your life is getting interesting isn’t it? Be grateful, you can toss me out if you want, but after your debt is settled”

(Hmph, I hope I got a job this week), said Johnny in his head

And so Alice escort Johnny back to his home riding a taxi, cause the sun is up. Then she carry him to his sloppy apartment.

“Umm, Thank you again my hero, I hope your wound healed quickly”

“Yeah it’s okay”

“by the way, what’s your name? can I know you?”

“I’m Johnny, Johnny Rockgreiger”

“The name is Alice, I live around here, and umm… Here!! (showing 100 bucks), you must be need this!”

Without a doubt Johnny takes that and put it on his wet pocket.

“(Smiles widely) Hahaha, you’re weird Johnny, you don’t hesitate, I like you, you must be a good guy”

“(Scratching the head), Yeah, see you Alice!”

And so, Alice head back to her place, with a hilarious event on her memories. Then she writes this story on the paper, cause for fact, she is a journalist in the town.

Finally, Johnny can rest in peace healing his wound. He can pay off his debt to the ring immediately. Furthermore, he got 80 dollar as a profit for helping the poor girl.

“How was it? not so bad huh”, said the Ring

“Huh, I don’t know, maybe if I’m healthy I still owe you 50 dollar”

“Hahahhaa, your poor skill actually saves you!!Hillarious”

“Hey,hey what the hell? Are you teasing me?”

“So, do you want to toss me now? Your debt is settled you know”

“I have better Idea!!”

“What is it?”

“So, if I pay you 50 dollar upfront, what do I get?”, said Johnny rushing his transfers to the Ring’s Account without the oath

“What the f.., Stop it, don’t try that”

Transfer Completed....

SWIINGGG…

Johnny’s muscle and vein rise up and his skin glowing like magic. The wound also heals immediately.

Haha, as I thought, if you can offer your power with debt, I can buy it with deposit, looks like it’s gonna be useful, Hahahahha!

Sigh, you will regret this.

Whatever, it’s up to me Hahahah!

Johnny laughs hard and the Ring annoyed.

And so, Johnny continues his adventure with the Ring. Now he became a batman in his city. Unfortunately, he must turn upside down crunching his head to settle the debt with the ring. And that is another mystery I will tell you some other time.
