Nora's family went to their old summer apartment. This apartment had been closed for many years. They entered to the apartment after eight years of disuse. The apartment itself was a big and somewhat old, but otherwise very welcoming. Nora opened all the windows and dusted all the bedrooms.
As she was cleaning the apartment, she felt like there were eyes everywhere at this apartment which were looking at her but she tried to ignore it.
While opening the windows she felt someone was standing behind her but when she turned back, there was no one. She ignored it at once that it might be her hallucinations.
It’s interior furnishings were beautiful and very comfortable. Everything was so organic there that Nora felt someone was living in her home.
When, she came back in that room she looked that the windows she had opened before again had been closed. Nora again ignored by assuming that it might be happened by the air, she re-opened the windows and moved to the kitchen.
People of that town were very friendly often they brought baked cakes, pastries and many other sweet dishes. They invited the newly shifted family for dinner.
They Said, “Get togethers, were the key to making sure everyone who lived in this town loved it there.”
Nora was a young woman of thirty but a little short sighted. Nora was the loving, hospitable and devoted wife of Mr. Wali. She was a woman of great appeal with chinese eyes and had a great physical charms. She was highly domestic, focusing on her roles as a mother and wife.
She deeply admired and loved her husband although she didn’t tell him that she loves him. She was very responsible and strong lady.
She warmly welcomed her every new neighbors and the neighbors were also impressed by her superb generosity.
But few days later, things took a terrifying turn in this apartment. She felt strange discomfort and fear at her own apartment, she felt someone was following her whenever she moved in the apartment. She saw a shadow of someone whereas no one was there except her, she started to move fastly from the corridor. She was shivering with fear and nervousness. She stopped doing any work and run towards Rose.
Eventually, she grew worried and finally decided that whatever may happen today i have to tell Mr.Wali all about this.
Mr. Wali was the middle aged man of thirty-eight. Mr. Wali was highly dominated by rationality and scientific reason. He was a realist, hard intellectual and an egoist. He was not affectionate nor sentimental, he nevertheless inspired admiration in his wife.
Mr. Wali was a professor by profession, and at 06:00 pm, he returned home from the university.
Mr. Wali called Nora, “Nora where are you?”
Nora replied, “Actually, Rose is not feeling well! she has fever and cough so, i am just making her sleep.”
Mr.Wali asked Nora, “Couldn’t you tell me this before?”
Mr.Wali asked Nora, “Now fetch me a glass of water quickly then, i will bring medicine for her.”
Nora arrived with a glass of water in her hand.
Mr. Wali took the glass from her hand while seeing Nora who seemed very concerned about Rose.
Mr. Wali brought medicine from the pharmacy and asked Nora gave it to her after some light food.
She made two cup of tea after giving a dose of medicine to Rose.
Mr. Wali was watching news in the TV Lounge, Nora sit with him on the couch.
Mr. Wali while taking a sip of tea noticed that Nora was somewhat disturbed mentally.
He asked her , “Nora, you are looking so unkempt. What’s the problem ?”
She told Mr. Wali, “About all the incidents that what happened to her from the very first day and till this evening.
Mr. Wali laughed at her as he had heard a jest or a joke.
Mr. Wali asked her, “Nora o' my dear lady, i thought you were not enough stupid to believe on such stupid things!”
Mr. Wali said to her, “It’s just a stupidity to believe on such fool things and again he laughed strongly.”
Mr. Wali had strong passion for facts, logical truths and he didn’t believe such things which were beyond human mind.
He said, “The ghosts do not exist in this world, don’t be fool Nora and just get out of these stupid thoughts now.”
She was still and looking at her husband silently.
As, Mr. Wali was moving towards his study room warned Nora, “Again no more talk about this idle and nonsensical topic ok?”
She said, “Ok!”
Eventually, she grew more worried although she became irritated with her husband's insensitivity and moved to see her daughter.
While sitting near her daughter Rose, Nora again resumed her senses by saying to herself, Yeah Nora, those might be your hallucinations because you are just overthinking on this topic and she slept.
But one night, everything was changed and got more horrible when one night, Nora was cradling her-five-years old daughter Rose in her arms and all she could listen as the screaming horrible sound.
Apartment’s lights kept flicking on and off, Nora’s body was totally frozen and her feet was stuck there. She closed her eyes and hugged Rose so tightly that none can snatched her from her.
Fortunately, Mr. Wali was in the apartment and had witnessed all the incident with his eyes and this incident baffled him but still he was not ready to believe. His common-sense didn’t allow him to believe on such things it seemed to him that it was just a horrible dream. But Rose’s condition enabled him to believe that something unusual had happened here and inwardly he was very concerned about Rose and Nora.
Her daughter Rose was terribly horrified by that sound and started crying and came back normal after three hours. Due to fear, Nora couldn’t utter a word.
Rose was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wali and he loved her daughter passionately. Rose was a very energetic and mischievous child.
But after this incident Rose got deeply attached to her mother and adored her mother intensely. Nora was also upset and decided to not letting her daughter alone anytime. This apartment was Mr. Wali’s grandmother’s mum house.
Suddenly, In the Sunday morning, the doorbell ranged. Mr. Wali moved to open the door and as he opened the door, Mr. and Mrs. Hamad their neighbors came to meet the newly shifted family.
As we know that, Nora was very hospitable and loving so, she greeted them well at her apartment and served them with many food items and tea.
Mrs. Hamad while taking a cup of tea and a snack from the plate asked her, “Where is your cute daughter?”
Mr. Hamad also asked, “Yes, i saw her last morning when she was coming with her daddy from the market”
Mr. Wali told Mr. and Mrs. Hamad that, “Rose is sleeping because she is not feeling well”
Mrs. Hamad asked, “Oh, what happened to the cute girl?”
Nora was very worried about all this and she was also frightened inwardly.
Then Nora told Mr. and Mrs. Hamad that, “Last night, when she was cradling her, Rose was greatly frightened by a horrible screaming.
Nora told about the sound which she heard yesterday’s night from the dining room that “Where is my daughter?”
Someone was shouting so horribly there as “where is my daughter?”
Mr. and Mrs. Hamad plunged into deep thoughts, “that whether they should tell them about that or not?”
Mrs. Hamad was in continuous flow of thoughts and feelings that constitute her into subconscious mind.
Mr. Wali asked, “What happened to you?”
Then Mr. and Mrs. Hamad asked them, “They shouldn’t live here, it’s not safe for their little daughter Rose.”
They told them that, “We came to know from our old neighbors that in 1995 Leeza a thirty-three years old beautiful lady lived in that apartment just besides your apartment. Leeza had one cute daughter and she loved with her innocent daughter very much.
Leeza’s daughter was just eight years old, but one day while playing in the street she was died in an accident.
Leeza couldn’t bear the loss of her daughter’s death and died in this tragic loss.
Mr. and Mrs. Hamad told them that, “Leeza was often witnessed by many people of this area as screaming and searching for her daughter.”
“Her distress soul even after dying was straying in this area to meet her beloved daughter.”
After that incident, Leeza’s soul was wandering in that apartment and all around this area.
Mr. and Mrs. Hamad told them, “But Leeza didn’t harm anyone, she just asked people by screaming and horrified them, Where is my daughter?, Where is my daughter?”
Mr. Wali and Nora after listening to the all conversation, looked at each other. They thanked Mr. and Mrs. Hamad for this great help and for telling them the great horrible truth.
They said, “We are very grateful to you!”
“You people just have saved our daughter’s life.”
Mr. Wali’s passionate love with Nora and Rose forced him to believe such things and he at once took a decision that they will not live in this apartment.
And the very next day, they were moved from this town for the sake of their happy and prosperous life.
