AN APPLE OF DISCORD

(Criminals must leave some clues to find them.)

[Some words:-  My

relative Sanku uncle's close friend was Alok babu. Alok chand (35 Years) is a

very simple man. He did many odd jobs in his life but to find the truth is his

passion. He became a Goverment Employee once but resigned from his job because

he doesn't like to tamper the truth behind the lies. He wants to work freely

.He is the main character in this detective story. He leads the role of the

detective having so much efficiency in this work. All of his family

members died due to riots in Gujarat. Here is an incident telling about how two

colleagues will be the two enemies. A murder was witnessed by Alok Chand. But,

he could not see the face of the culprit as he was fully clad with black

clothes and black mask on face. Alok was determined to catch the murderer. Here,

Alok is the narrator himself.]

‘Whizz!’ a bullet pierced into Ananda Babu’s (60 Years) chest

and he fell into the ground at once. I was stunned. I got prepared to catch the

mask-man. But, the murderer vanished. A tragic end of such a kind-hearted fellow.

It was disheartening for me. The Durga puja pandal looked like a cremation

ground. The women’s wailing filled the air. Needless to say, Durga Puja is the

most celebrated festival in Bengal throughout the year. And for Ananda babu it

was like a devotion to God, deity Ma Durga. But for this year, he donated

nearly one lakh rupees (1,00,000) to the puja committee. All was good but the

tragedy came at the last moment and took us all in a gloomy mode.

Next day, I went out of the house for morning walk. Near the

puja pandal, I found a train ticket. It confirmed that the passenger would go

to Mumbai from this town, Kolkata. I kept it in my pocket. I got ready for a

walk and suddenly a motorbike dashed me heavily and disappeared like an

aero-plane within a few seconds. But, I noted the Bike number from a clear

angle and it was my memory for which I was famous for. It was WB68S- 7153. I

informed police-station and told them to trace the owner of the bike. Police

traced out the owner after rigorous inquiries and investigations. But, he was

an old man and he could not drive the bike. I was puzzled. How can it be

possible? The number was same but the bike was not that which I had seen in the

last morning. I apologized for my fault to the police and to the old man also.

But, I was not so sure that I was wrong.

Next day, I went to walk again. This time, a stone was thrown to

me. I was nearly struck by it. But fortunately, I was saved. I found a letter

with the stone. I was alarmed for my enquiry against the murder by the unknown

one. I looked all around. But alas! There was no one. I was sure about one

thing that this investigation will not end so soon. And of course, things are

going to be worse than now.

Next day, I went to a meeting to preside over a local function

nearby. When, I was coming towards my home, a motorbike hit me again and

vanished with a great speed. I could not write the number as it was gloomy.

But, I was seriously injured. Some days later, I was recovered from the

injuries. From then, I was starting to go out from home with a revolver in

pocket.

I suspected Mr. Jagannath Das, the brother of Late Ananda

Das. Because, their relation was not good for a long period due to

ancestral estates.

One day, I went to the nearby stadium. I found there the old man

whose car number puzzled me a lot previously.  But adding more to it! The old man was driving

a car and he had no problem with it. It made me to think over the matter again

and the murder is becoming more and more fishy. A new thought process was

needed to be developed.

The next day, I went to his house. I found him sitting on a

chair. He was not so pleased to see me. I felt so. When he went to the kitchen

to clean his mouth, I saw a drawer partly opened. I dragged it and found a

revolver. Unbelievable thing! What will be the need to keep a revolver for an

old man? I promptly closed the drawer. The old man came and talked with me for

some time.

The next evening, I went to a walk to the railway station. I

found the old man in the ticket counter talking with two giant like man. He

gave the some money. I was very much anxious. I chased them. They were

quarrelling with each other. Seeing me come, he ordered those two partners to

attack me. But, I realized it very quickly and took out my revolver. I aimed at

their legs one by one and injured their legs so that they could not run. Then,

I informed the Police and they were sent behind the bars.

The motive was still unknown. But, the old man at last confessed

that he killed Ananda Babu. Because, Ananda Babu was the Managing

Director(M.D.) of C.I.S. Company and Durlav Sen, the old man had to work under

him. Durlav babu wanted to be the M.D. But, the managing committee made Mr.

Ananda Das the M.D. So, Durlav babu got jealous and three years ago he was

suspended from the job for the attempts to kill Ananda Babu. So, he needed a

chance to forget his grief. And he shot Ananda Babu.

Really, Ananda Babu was a barrier for him in his life. But, this

act will not be judged as a work of dignity rather considered to be as a

heinous crime.
