A boy named Peter being brought up in an environment, where society opinions matter more to his parents than their son’s own dreams, made his life full of compromises and regrets. He did not have an awesome childhood. He was only surrounded by books rather than friends. He barely had connections with his friends off the school time. He was not allowed to go out and play. He completed his high school by spending his time with books and staying at home. After another two years of preparation for different competitive exams in his eleven and twelve standards, Peter made it into one of the most popular institutes to do his under graduation. It is after completion of his first year of course, he realized that either that course was not meant for him or he was not meant for the course.
It took him almost seventeen years of his life and thirteen years of his academics for Peter to find his passion. May be it is never too late, especially for a guy who had just started his under graduation, to follow his passion. Finally Peter found his passion in writing. From then he started writing so many short stories in which he felt most of them are just equal to scrap. So, he concentrated on improving his craft. In between he thought of quitting college and focus on writing field. But for many reasons like fear(which is his best partner since childhood which stops him from sharing his thoughts with his parents), and he thought as he was young he can finish his under graduation and then shift to writing, which satisfies his parents that their son is a degree holder which is a very big deal for them. He also made quite a very good score in his academics despite his disinterest towards academics. According Peter, the most important thing was, he lives far away from his home town. He feels that this set him free from all the restrictions imposed by his parents on him. Also, joining a professional degree is a lot more fusion of fun, learning life time lessons, creating most memorable days for everyone When it came to peter, it is the same. Especially, he’s free from a kingdom full of rules which is run by his parents. Initially when he joined college, it took him some time to make friends. He made few friends who became huge part of his college life. After two years of his under graduation, he met a girl named Jane. Within no time Peter and Jane become very close friends that they enjoyed each other’s company more than anyone. They used to share everything about their lives. Peter used to narrate his stories to the Jane. Jane was the first audience for most of his stories. Slowly she also became best critic for his stories. There came a situation for Peter where his parents started asking him to attend campus placements and get a job. But he didn’t want take up job. He wanted continue his writing and also wanted to do MBA. When he discussed the same thing with Jane, she said to him, to first tell his parents about his passion for writing. She also reminded him that his parents would be encouraging f he wish to do an MBA. But here the major thing was his passion for writing. She said to make them understand that life can’t become happier just by a steady job and good income but it is following our Dreams and working for our passion gives the real happiness in life.
When Peter went home to speak on what Jane said to him. He reminded himself “Just say it Peter. Otherwise there will be nothing left except regretting for not doing what you love”. That’s it. Just a bit of confidence and self-belief made Peter overcome all the fears in his life and making his parents realize, real happiness for their kid.
When Peter started writing stories, he understood that not every idea he get is a great idea. He understood that it takes a lot of effort to transform a good idea into a story. He learnt that if he works on an idea then only he can sometimes find out how the idea is. For people like Peter, it is very hard to find their passion unless they explore themselves. So, always be ready to learn new things in life. Try everything you can, in your life. That makes things much easier for you in future.
When all the things sorted out for Peter, problems began for Jane. Jane got paced in campus interview and started doing job. Jane didn’t like the company in which she’s working in and wants quit the company. But she stops that because her parents would get her married if she isn’t working and by working she thought she could make excuses to avoid marriage at very early age of her life. Jane says same thing to Peter and asks him to find her the best way to this. He says that Jane is very courageous enough to do whatever she likes to do and advises her to take a break in life and start with a new job and then think about marriage.
As advised by Peter, Jain takes a break and relaxes her body and her soul. Then after break, she comes up with two interesting decisions of her life. One of the decisions is linked to Peter. It is always very reasonable to take a break at some point of time in your life, when you’re exhausted. Because after taking a break we can recharge ourselves with a new energy and can make life changing decisions, like those made by Jane. The very first decisions, was she comes up a startup idea and becomes successful in very short time by executing it with the help of Peter. It is after two years after the break, when Peter and Jane are running their company successfully and also Peter becomes a best seller author, she comes up with the second and most important decision of her life, which she had taken during her break period two years back. The decision she makes was to marry Peter. This may not be very surprising for Peter as they know each other for more than six years. When Jane proposes for marriage, it was like an immediate Yes by Jane. Because Peter likes Jane the person she’s and for her fearless attitude. Peter and Jain together ensures that they live their lives happily without any regrets.
