A Sunite Blue Wedding

WRITER'S NOTE: The following passage you're about to read is a polished up revision of Chapter 71 found in "The Blacksmith's Nephew". Please enjoy.

On that day of loved ones reuniting, word got spread quickly around the country of Rissindell that Terrance and Ruth were going to get married!

All was welcome for this special occasion. Special thanks to the King, Queen, and the whole Kingdom for all making this beautiful wedding possible. The wedding happened in a given of two days after word spread out through the country.

Once the moment has arrived, the two lovebirds were getting ready in their separate rooms. Terrance made Sonas his best man, while Ruth made her mother the maid of honor.

Sonas, Arkcon, Lemmy, King Reuben and the male servants helped out with the Prince. Meanwhile Maren, Sage, Orsimin, Queen Esther and the female servants assisted the Princess of course.

Terrance wore a sky blue suit with emerald gems scattered around his body. Ruth meanwhile wore a gorgeous strapless sky blue cowl dress with emerald shards, and a navy blue train of fabric.

All of the men wore blue tuxes while the women wore blue dresses. This was going to be a blue wedding for Terrance and Ruth both loved the color very much. Even still, to this day!

King Reuben and Queen Esther made sure that things were going smoothly having all of the preparations done beforehand.

Fangnst was the transportation for the people that were coming across the sea as well as for himself naturally. Fangst the dragon even had his very own reserved spot at one of the balconies for the blue wedding. This particular balcony was the same balcony that Terrance and Ruth sat more than a week ago.

The two lovebirds were quite nervous and very anxious obviously as any couple on their wedding day would. But nonetheless, they were excited for this day. It was a dream come true.

Eventually, all of the men including Terrance went out of the young man’s room and headed straight to the ball room. When they arrived there, the whole room was completely decorated with sky blue banners, different shades of blue balloons, aqua blue tablecloths, and royal blue chairs. Even the food and drinks were in blue coloring.

All of the guests were there sitting in their royal blue chairs with their blue attires waiting for the ceremony to start.

Terrance went forward ahead, followed by Sonas, Arkcon, Lemmy, and King Reuben while the male servants went to their different positions of the room. The young knight along with his men went to the end of the ball room, which was located in the west side, just where Mathan was standing.

The local minister wore a blue robe as he stood there while admiring and congratulating the Prince. Terrance smiled and acknowledges the minister saying by getting the minister a quick thanks.

The young man then turns around to face all of his esteemed guests. M’ven and Orsimin’s family were seating on the table to Terrance’s left, while Pepvin and his mother were seating on a table to the right. Ms. Evelyn was seated by the Mace family while the Eli brothers were seated with the fairies from the Forest of Guidance.

Literally everyone who was from the village, the sacred place and the Capital were there to celebrate this beautiful wedding in different tables. Even the local jeweler from Ruth’s 21st birthday was there for she made the two lovers their wedding rings.

On the other side of the ball room were Flavia and her band of Fanjesters, including Jorfrikin Kinimee!? The band was waiting for the female servants to arrive. Once the band saw the bridal party, they began to play some lovely music.

Maren went into the ballroom meeting up with the males. Behind her was Orsimin holding both of the rings on a pillow. Sage trailed behind with a basket full of blue rose petals dropping them on the ground.

Once everyone has stood by the minister and groom's party, the Fanjesters, along with the famous dwarf bard, then plays the Bride’s March.

All of the guests there stood up, and turned their bodies to the eastside of the ballroom.

There she was: Ruth in all of her beauty holding a blue rose bouquet!

Terrance’s heart was leaping out of his chest when he saw her there walking his way. He felt his knees shake and his body trembling.

“She is the most beautiful person I ever met or known. I’m so lucky to have her as my own,” he thought this to himself.

Behind Ruth was her mother carrying the Princess’s dress train with the biggest smile on her face. Of course the Princess too was smiling, more so than anyone in that ballroom.

When she had saw Terrance looking all handsome, her heart too begun beating very fast. She felt some sweat on her back and feet.

“Today is the day I marry a boy whom I loved for the longest I can remember. He is the most charming person I have met,” she said to herself in her head.

Eventually Ruth and her mother Esther came to where everyone was and the ceremony began. Terrance and Ruth looked deep into each other’s eyes while they smiled there with tears of pure joy.

This was going to be a day they will never forget.

The minster started: “We are gathered here today for matrimony of Prince Terrance Sunite and Princess Ruth Grealth. Let these two become one as King and Queen of the Southern Kingdom after today. We shall start our ceremony with a prayer. Please bow your heads with me…

"’Father, we are here for a union of two Kingdoms of Rissindell reuniting again after 20 years. We ask of you that you will watch these two royals as they will strive to make our Kingdoms strong again. Please be with these two as they will also guide our people to a bright future. In the name we pray: Amen.”

“Amen,” said everyone else there in the ball room.

“Please bring out the rings,” politely said the holy father.

Orsimin walks over to the couple and the two of them grabbed each other’s ring for one another.

Once the two grabbed their rings, Mathan then asked the groom: “Do you, Prince Terrance Sunite of the Southern Kingdom, take Princess Ruth Grealth of the Northern Kingdom as your wife and Queen?”

To that, Terrance replied: “Y-yes, I do.”

Minister Mathan then turns to the bride and asked: “Do you, Princess Ruth Grealth of the Northern Kingdom, take Prince Terrance Sunite of the Southern Kingdom as your husband and King?”

With that, Ruthie replied: “Yes, I-I do.”

“Please give each other your rings.”

The two then proceeded to give each other rings. Terrance was retrieved a sapphire coating ring while Ruth was retrieved a golden ring with a sapphire on it.

Once the two lovebirds gave their rings out, they each began to speak their vows.

Terrance went first: “My adoring Ruthie, there is no one, absolutely no one, I would want to be with than with you. You always brought out the best in me and always made me feel appreciated. I love you with all of my heartz and I want you to take this ring as the symbol of my love for you.”

Ruth then goes: “My dear Terrance, I was awfully surprised to know you were born a loyal. But I love you for the longest time so it doesn’t even matter if you’re a King or not. You always have made me happy anytime I’m with you, and you always found ways to make me laugh. This heart of mine treasures you and I want you to take my ring I gave to show how much I love you.”

After the two engage vows, the minister turns to Terrance and said: “You may now kiss the bride.”

The two of them smiled as Terrance leans forward to kiss Ruth. Ruth gladly accepts it and the crowd cheered as the two kissed. Terrance even dipped Ruth while kissing her.

Shortly afterwards, everyone in the ballroom had a grand old time partying! They danced, sang, and ate food while drinking together as one big happy family for the rest of the day and evening. Even the Fanjesters and Jorfrikin was having a blast there.

Eventually the blue rose bouquet was toss over by Ruth, and Maren was the one who caught it out of all the women there. The fairy’s face turned brightly red and this left Arkcon thinking about his proposal. Since the jungle, Arkcon wanted to ask Maren to marry him but he felt it wasn’t the time yet. The elf also didn’t want to take Terrance nor Ruth’s thunder. So in that moment of seeing Maren catching the flowers, he thought of how he was going to propose but that’s for another tale.

For it was then, Terrance and Ruth had the most beautiful wedding. And I'm sure everyone can agree, they all had a wondrous party that no one will never forget.
