Mia was sitting in her home, tapping her pen on the blank sheet of paper. She usually would've filled her diary by now. Yet nothing exciting has happened for the past few weeks. Who would know that its always when she wants to fill her diary, nothing happens? Yet whenever she isn't even thinking about her diary, something... strange always appears. She has met many, many people in her life, but she never went far and beyond to stay friends with them, who could've known? Mia sighed and looked up at her ceiling. Even if she had to make something up, her mind was always clustered with too many ideas, giving her major Writer's Block. She looked at her page again, and something about it seemed off. There was writing shown on the former blank, empty page. Mia didn't write that. So who did? Pages couldn't write themselves, could they? She traces the letters with her fingertips. They weren't imaginary, they were there. The scarlet-colored diary started to shake violently, causing Mia to drop it onto the floor. The book kept shaking on the ground, and Mia pushed her platinum-blonde hair behind her ears. She curled up on her chair with her legs to her chest. A grey gloved hand comes out of the book forcefully and Mia screamed. Her back was pushed up against the chair, trying to get as far back as she could. The hand felt around the area. The smooth pages of the paper, the hard book cover, and finally the soft feeling of the carpet. The hand intertwined its fingers into the separate strings of the carpet and tugged on it loosely to see if there was a good enough grip on the carpet. Then it started pulling itself up which made Mia go into paralysis shock. She couldn't move even if her life depended on it. The hand turned into an arm, and that arm came with a head, which came with a torso and so forth. Until a whole body was visible to her. A tall, presumably male figure stood in front of her diary. His long, faded dark red hair was mixed with a dark grey or even black color. It was hard to determine, and not to mention it was fairly messy. His dull, orange eyes caught her gaze and it made her squirm in her seat. A mask, something that resembles those doctor masks they put over their mouth but it was a darker teal instead of blue. The man wore a dark faded purple jacket over a dark blue shirt and jeans. His shoes were normal grey sneakers and the belt around his waist was probably the brightest color he had. It was a purple mixed in with a blue. His pasty white skin almost glowed brighter than the belt that he had to hold his pants up. Behind him was a little devil's tail. It looked like a thin string with a faded red heart at the end. Mia trembled, her bottom lip quivering.
"W-Who are you?" She managed to get out, her voice messed up and it came out small and in a slight stutter. The man threw his head back and laughed darkly. His gloved finger pulled down his mask and he grinned sickly. It made Mia's stomach turn and she thought her breakfast would come up.
"Who am I? I am your worst enemy. I am the one who is always in your brain. You never get rid of me, even when you are creative," The man approached Mia and lifted her chin. His face just inches away from her face. "I, Ark, am the source of your sick Writer's Block." Mia's eyes widened and she bit her bottom lip. The source of her Writer's Block? How could that even be possible? A person could never be a source of anything as evil as Writer's block. Ark chuckled again, pulling her up out of her chair.
"Why are you here?!" Mia yelled, shoving Ark back. His tall frame fell onto his back, just inches from the book. His hair went to spill over the book, but instead, it was swallowed by the book. Mia had an idea of how to defeat this man. Ark quickly jumped to his feet and abnormally cracked his neck. Mia shrunk back, cringing at the sick noise that penetrated her ears.
"Did you really think I would give up that easily? Pathetic." Ark cackled. He grabbed a fistful of Mia's long hair and threw her across the room. She screamed as she dented the wall. It cracked at the impact that was made when she hit it. Mia hacked up blood but wiped it with her sleeve. She pushed herself off the wall and stumbled on her feet. Ark grinned and his foot lifted him forwards. He sprinted towards Mia, his fist getting ready to get a powerful punch. Mia stopped the punch by grabbing his fists. She kicked him in the stomach and brought her knee to his face. His head jerked back from the blow. Blood trickled down his nose and dripped onto the floor. Mia shoved him off of her and he tumbled to the floor. Ark propped himself up with his elbows and jumped back onto his feet.
"You are one good fighter, I will give you that." He admitted. Mia punched his face and dashed off to the garage to find a weapon to distract him. She checked every drawer, every single place that she stored some sort of weapon in. Yet there was none to be found. A large gloved hand came from behind her and held onto her neck. It was difficult for her to breathe. Every single breath that she takes makes it even harder than the last time. Mia squeezed her eyes shut and she felt something cold and metallic on her lips. It pushed into her bottom lip, breaking the skin. The pain made her mouth go numb. She tried to scream, but nothing came out. She opened her eyes to see Ark cutting off the extra string off of her mouth. Did he just sew her mouth shut?!
"Of course I sewed your mouth shut. Writer's Block is something that made your brain lack ideas, so you cannot write something, or even tell a story." He explained. Mia gave him a hateful glare and he put his hands up in surrender jokingly. Ark chuckled a bit and she kicked him in between the legs. He made a grunt of pain as he toppled over. Mia went over to the book and rushed back to the garage. She took Ark by the hair and tried to shove him back into the book. He yelled and fought, thrashing around violently. He punched her, kicked her, everything he could but Mia was more focused on destroying this magical entity once in for all! She stepped on his chest, shoving him down onto the book. The diary welcomely swallowed part of his back and soon everything below his torso. Ark had his hands gripping onto anything he could and tried to lift himself up again. Mia growled and kicked him in the nose again. It made his grip loosen and the diary swallowed him whole. She slammed the book shut and went back over to her chair. She threw the scarlet diary aside and got a regular notebook out. She opened to a fresh new page. Hey, maybe she should write about what just happened. It would be a great idea, and it is finally interesting for once!
Meanwhile... the scarlet diary suddenly opened and its pages started turning... until it stopped. On the final page laid the image of Ark. Maybe this story really isn't over after all.
