I had made a treehouse when I was only 5 years old. Treehouses are special and magical escapes from “life,” where we could hang out in nature without being bombarded by adults and chores. We lived in the state of Idaho on a farm near a woodland area. The mountains were pretty far from here but we would see them through the window with no tree branches or leaves in our way. My friends and I gathered scrap wood from the farm near our houses.

We searched for a small area where there are certain trees with different heights to make a proper treehouse. It isn't easy building one due to the fact that there are various tools and parts needed. We needed lots of supplies so we got them from the farmer. He didn't use a lot of items that were really useful to us. Today at 11 years old its summertime for us. It's a hot afternoon with the sun blazing upon us. With the summer heat wrapping its warmth around us, we were parched, it felt like I was going to faint if I wasn't going to get water soon. That's when the treehouse comes to play. We had small compartments/rooms where we could hangout.

My friends and I would play chess or any board game. We stored some water and crackers in a small box. Not only that but there is a breathtaking view. You could see the rows of houses and the sunset glimmering upon you. We had a nice way of coming up to the treehouse. My friends were deciding to just have a ladder with some of the rope and wood we had left. But that was a lame idea. I thought if we can put the big square wood plank and the ropes attached to it and someone to pull us up. So we went on that idea of mine.

So in the afternoon, we added on to the treehouse by painting it and making it look more vibrant. This is how we spent our afternoon being with friends and leaving our minds refreshed after a long day having our own time together in a small treehouse where you can entertain yourself with anything that you like. We didn't just play in the treehouse all day. We had events like birthday parties but after celebrating in your house me and my friends would go up and give me special presents and wish me.

I decided to bring my pet dog named Alexander up to the treehouse. He was a Siberian husky puppy. I totally forgot! It was July 4th and the fireworks were bursting into small sparkles. They shined like diamonds glistening in the sky. The fireworks started a little early but the sun wasn't out. The time is 6:30 in an hour I and my family will start dinner and some of my friends are coming to eat at the treehouse to eat there and watch more fireworks. The few minutes of our time we cleaned out the treehouse gathered more food in our mini kitchen we made to store food and clear out bee nests.

Now we found one in one of the rooms we only had 1 room but for

3 friends, we could fit. It was at the corner of a small opening was a

bee nest. I took a stick to... but wait if you poke the stick at the nest that wouldn't be a smart idea. So my friend knew how to take care of the beehive, he took the bug spray and sprayed it all over the area. All the bees went away but the beehive was still there. So then we carefully took it down and placed it near a garden of flowers nearby. That's where the bees suck the nectar and make honey. So we thought that it was 7:00 by now but actually when we were doing the treehouse chores we were fast.

We thought that we needed a medkit in our treehouse. The lasts 10 minutes are left until dinner. I rush to my house to get the medkit and what I do at the treehouse is to attach the medkit and place it in the small cabinet that we made. We had this cool binocular that went really far. We used it for getting fresh food by hunting with our pellet rifle. My grandpa teaches me how to hunt and cook food.

Last year I and my friends killed a big squirrel for the 4 of us for lunch. It tasted pretty good because we ate it fresh on the barbeque. So its time to eat dinner and its the end of my afternoon on my treehouse. The whole afternoon was a really fun and really precious time of our lives spending the whole 2 hours from 5:00-6:00 outside in nature and playing board games with my friends. We played lots of games. We talked a lot, sang songs, and told stories to about 1:30 in the morning. The subject of our favorite sports was at the top of the list to talk about. We all loved to play baseball and were trying to get a team together with some other boys in our school. After a little while, we all began to get tired and decided to call it a night

So this is how I spent my afternoon today at the treehouse. It was overall an amazing experience and I loved every second of it. When we were only 5 years old a year after making the treehouse we believed that it would never break until we grow up. The treehouse was also a great way of killing boredom from keeping you away from all the bad thoughts or concerns away from you and just feel relaxed and happy. The treehouse is still our most favorite place to be. I guess our imaginations were running wild that night with all the wind stirring things up outside. We still spend a lot of time out there, but not so much at night time. I still love my tree house and like to share it with my friends.
