Ti-Mit couldn't remember much about last night. He knew he kept getting fleeting memories of drinking, cheering, and what he, at the time, called dancing. His adventuring party was celebrating the conclusion of a long quest and was able to relax for once in months. Ti-Mit was very hesitant to drink out of fear that he would expose himself publicly as being a merfolk and thought that spies were sent to find and kill him. However, his party convinced him and he took what he thought was a couple of shots. He then got so drunk he started dancing on one of the tables and singing a merfolk song much to the enjoyment of those at the tavern. As more and more people started cheering and dancing a woman who appeared to be either an elf or human stood on top of the table Ti-Mit was on and started dancing with him. She too sang the songs he sang and drank shot after shot.

Then the pair retreated to where Ti-Mit's party was staying at. After that Ti-Mit's memories became too fuzzy and a sense of disgust slowly sank into his mind. Then he woke up in a bed. He rose but still in bed, and looked around. His head throbbing. He looked beside him to find the woman sleeping peacefully. Ti-Mit moved her hair around her ear and saw that she was an elf. A wave of relief and pride washed over him and he hit his head back onto the pillow. One of the members of his party (a goblin rogue named Jeek) woke up with a bottle still in hand. He pointed at Ti-Mit and said in a very calm whisper "I thought merfolk and elves hated each other." Ti-Mit whispered back "They do. I guess she was too drunk or didn't care enough." The party member and Ti-Mit chuckled. Then another party member woke up and began rubbing his head (he was a human barbarian named Klaw) "I guess I wasn't the only one who celebrated with a female." he said chuckling "But at least it was someone I know and not some stranger." he continued. "Wait did you and- Wow I didn't think it was possible." said a shocked Ti-Mit.

Klaw somehow in some way slept with their leader Graywood an elf necromancer and their unofficial yet official leader of the party. The guys had been in a twisted competition to see which one would get lucky and the honor of getting with Graywood. As Ti-Mit was getting dressed for breakfast the elf woke up and smiled. "Last night, was amazing," then got up and pulled a knife and put it at Ti-Mit's throat and whispered, "If only you were an elf, however, if my family knew I gave myself to a merfolk they would disown me. So let's make a deal." She then pulled away, knife still at his throat. "You can't speak about last night to anyone, especially an elf, in return, I will not give you over to your people." she then kissed him on the cheek, got her stuff, and left the room. Graywood woke up, looked around, and saw she was in the same bed as Klaw and began blushing a lot. "Klaw, since you won, can you please get my clothes and gear." Klaw did as asked with a feeling of pride. The group got their gear on and went down to get breakfast. Only to find it filled with the patrons from last night. Sleeping bodies were tables, chairs, and other people, and some were slumped against the wall. After getting breakfast the party left a good tip for the tavern keepers.

That was nearly 50 years ago and still to this day Ti-Mit still remembers that night at that tavern. Within those 5 decades, Graywood and Klaw married, retired from adventuring and settled down. Jeek was able to find a wife and had a ton of kids. It would later be found out that Jeek was part of a legacy of rich goblin families which later led to the most famous goblin to ever live, Nothing. Ti-Mit though, kept his secret until his deathbed. He would continue his lifestyle of going to taverns to celebrate and run through women of various races, but none matched the elf he met back at that tavern. In a town in the middle of nowhere.

Now he was an old soul, a nearly broken soul until he met the elf again whose beauty never left her. Ti-Mit had finished up a quest with Jeek 's kids and were celebrating as usual. Ti-Mit tried to dance on the table only to be made fun of. He tried singing the merfolk songs but he kept getting off-key. Until his voice was overtaken by the elf's voice. She sang the songs and got onto the same table as Ti-Mit. They sang and danced together. Then Ti-Mit felt a sharp pain in his stomach. He looked down and saw he had been stabbed by the elf in front of him. He fell off the table and the crowd stopped and backed away in shock. The elf kneeled by side Ti-Mit and asked in a whisper. "You remember our deal?" Ti-Mit was shocked. Of course, he did. He kept that secret for decades why was this happening to him. The elf continued to whisper "Twenty years ago you slept with another female and in your drunkenness, you kept comparing her to me, she didn't know who I was until she started digging. After she found out it was me you were comparing her to, she got vengeance by exposing our secret to my family, and shortly after they disowned me. I've killed many of your kind just like you, just to prevent what happened to me from happening to someone like me. I also was trying to hunt you down but you've evaded my every move and every trap I set. I don't know how I did it and I don't care, but just to let you know. Killing you and bringing in your head might finally be able to regain a shred of my family's honor. Now die!" she stabbed multiple times. Ti-Mit's felt nothing but pain. He thought that night was the best night of his life, not once did it occur to him that it would be his death. Not once did he really care about the consequences of that night. Now as the light of his eyes dimmed he felt sorry for what he had done and with his final breath said "I am deeply sorry and I do forgive you." and he died. The elf heard those words and began to stab his corpse over and over again in a fit of rage. Jeek's kids summoned their courage and tackled her took her outside and killed her. They then took the bodies and lit them on fire and buried the Ti-Mit's ashes. With the elf's ashes, they sent them to her family with a note saying "She regain her honor through death and death was her repayment."

Jeek heard the news and mourned for days. Jeek's kids taught their kids this tale as a reminder of the consequences of one's actions, how some traditions must be destroyed for peace to even exist, and that vengeance is a dreadful thing. This tale would later be told to Nothing who would later lead the charge for the Golden Genocide.
