Love With a Twist

This is a story about a blonde, petite, gray eyed, and light freckled girl who played basketball named Adelyn and a wealthy boy with brown hair, eyes as blue as the ocean, and a football player named James. This is the story of how it all started and ended. 

The story started a day earlier on a crowded train in the beautiful mountains of Sierra, Nevada, On vacation alone.

Adelyn was walking down the school halls when she bumped into James, trying to not be late to their practices, as if they where late the couches would yell at them. She just looked down and blushed whale he thought to himself ‘God shes beautiful’.

James asked "Can I have your number?" so they exchanged numbers and went their separate was.

James and Adelyn met at the football field after her basketball practice and his football practice and decided to go on a date. James and Adelyn went on several dates and got closer and closer. They decided to go on a picnic double date with their friends at the train tracks.

At the train tracks, James and Adelyn were setting up the picnic. They thought that it was a great date Idea. When their friends get to the train tracks they all have a good time. James was talking to their guy friend, has name was Chad. "Do you wanna play truth or dare?" Chad asked. Then James said "Sure. What could it hurt?" so Chad asks "Truth or dare?" James quickly replied "Dare!" so Chad said "Get on the train tracks." James said "Okay that's easy." so James got on the train tracks. Then Adelyn said "Okay that's enough get off now babe." Then they heard a train screeching on the tracks. The train light flashed. James was trying to get off the tracks but his foot was caught on the track. The train was coming to fast there was no way he could get his foot loose. Adelyn was yelling at the top of lungs "NOOOOOO!" The last thing that James said was "I will always love you Adelyn." Next thing they knew blood was everywhere and everyone was covered. Adelyn fell to the ground on her knees crying in devastation with tears running down her face.

 Adelyn and her friends went to the police station to give their statements. Adelyn broke into tears whale talking to the cop. He offered her a tissue and said "I will get a certified counselor so you can talk to someone." When the counselor got there she said "let's go to my office."

So  Adelyn went with the counselor and they talked, and talked, and talked some more. The counselor said that Adelyn was going through grief which was normal when someone close passes. Adelyn went home.

Adelyn was laying on her bed. She couldn't help think that James's death was her fault. She kept replaying that moment in her head over and over. She could not quit thinking about it.

1 month Later.

Adelyn was still thinking about James and his death. She soon fell into depression and nothing could make her happy or even smile. Her seeing James, her boyfriend, her one love, killed in front of her was just to much. Adelyn finally agrees to go to the mental health clinic.

Adelyn was evaluated and diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and sever depression. She got a prescription for antidepressants. She picks up her order and goes home.

Adelyn gets home and takes her morning dose. It made her feel a little better but she was still thinking about James. It went on like this for two weeks meds, school, home, meds, and bed thinking about James the hole time every day over and over. Then she decided she had enough. She could not take this any more. So one day when here mom left her home alone she wrote a suicide note that read,

Dear mom,

I am sorry for what I did, I can't live this way anymore. It is just to much for me. It has been almost two months since James has died. I can forget it, I watched him, he got ran over by a train you say it will get better and you understand. But you don't understand. You did not have the love of your life die in front of your eyes. I get you and dad got a divorce and you always compare my situation to yours but their nothing alike. You don't understand how much I have thought about James and that night, the night that was my falt. The last words I heard from him was "I love you Adelyn" did you know that I didn't even get a chance to say I love you too him, I never got to tell how I felt. He was the love of my life and that got taken away in a second, it went by so fast. I am sorry and I love you. Do not forget that! Stay strong! Your stronger than me, this was just to much for me, seeing the love of my life die in font of my eyes. The love of my life, his life was so short. I am going to be with James now.

She went to the bathroom and opened the bottle of her antidepressants and she took one then two, until the hole bottle was empty, she fell to the floor and the bottle rolled out of her hand. They where each other's first love and last. By the time her mom came home she was on the floor with a picture of James in her hand.

 She was finally with her one true love James. 

Just then she woke up back on the crowded cold tain with James sleeping on her shoulder sleeping, she looked at him and smiled, then she looked out the window to see the beautiful snowy mountains of Sierra, Nevada.
