I remember three months after we first met, my heart was heavy. Not in a bad way, but a great way. I was so unconditionally in love with her and I couldn’t tell her because it was too early. She goes with the flow but I had already planned our whole future. I remeber it hurting so much because I had never felt this way before and this woman had my whole heart then and she will forever have my heart. She once asked me if I would do anything for her; I told her “yes of course” but she didn't know how far I would go to protect her. She will never know the lengths I went to make sure no one would ever hurt her again...

One year before
I usually spend my Friday night at home, eating ramen noodles and watching my show. But for some reason, I felt the need to go out. I took my shower, got dressed and headed to the local bar. The place was crowded with drunk people and the smell of alcohol filled my lungs sharply. This is why I don’t go out. I sat at the bar, ordered a pepsi and watched as everyone’s laughter filled the room. That’s when I saw her. She introduced herself as Milana Borroni. Milana was the kind of woman that made every guy's head turn when she walked into a room. She has this unspeakable beauty that no one could take away from her. Her eyes are an emerald green with little specks of brown. She has perfect soft pink lips that compliment her smile. The kind that makes your heart skip a beat. Her long wavy brown hair made every girl jealous. Mila has a sexy charm that she carries everywhere she goes. Her and I are complete opposites. I am the kind of man no one sees in a crowded room, my eyes don’t sparkle in the sunlight, my hair doesn’t fall beautifully and my smile doesn't turn anyone else's world around. With Mila, it was different, she saw me in the most crowded room you could imagine. She immediately loved every aspect of me, even my greatest insecurities. I was stunned when she walked up to me that night. I instantly knew she was the one, just by the way she looked at me.

To this day
Mila's father, Arthur, was standing on his balcony when I pulled up into the street. Everything I needed for tonight was beside me; all that was left to do was tie him down. I grab my bag and head over to his front door. I knock on his door, and as soon as he opened it, I threw my fist into his face to knock him down on the hardwood floor. I walk into the house, close the door, and drag him to the living room. I tie him up to a chair and splash water on his face.
"Who the hell are you?" he said, angrily.
"Your worst nightmare," I said, smirking.
"What do you want?"
"I want you to sell your soul to the devil." He laughed at my response.
"It's not a goddamn joke," I said, throwing his plant across the room.
"Now, why would I do that?"
"Because you're a devil yourself. I told you to stop harassing Mila, but you had to continue. Now, you're going to pay for what you did."
"Oh, so you must be Asher."
"I'm honored that you know my name." I walk closer to him, grab his neck, and say:
"I want to marry your daughter, but she is miserable because of you. All you need to do is follow my instructions; Trade your soul to the devil so Milana can forever be protected and happy.” I release my grip on him.
"You're crazy," Said Arthur.
"Crazy about Mila."
"What if I don't follow through with this?" He asked.
"I'll tell everyone what you did to Milana's mother," I warned.
"How do you know about that?"
"I have my ways,"
"Are you threatening me?” He shouts.
"Yes, how would you feel if everyone knew about the blood running down your arm, your tight grip around the cold, bloody knife, her screaming your name as you slowly mark her?" I stare at him as his breath indicates he is getting uncomfortable.
"All right, stop it! I'll do it, but you can never speak about my wife again. Do you understand me?"
"Loud and clear, sir," I said, taking my things out of my bag and preparing everything to welcome the devil. I had read about everything I needed to know online. At this point, I was praying it would work out.
A few moments later, I was able to summon the demon. It wasn't what I had expected. I couldn’t see or hear anything. I couldn’t even feel anything. There was a devilish glint in Arthur's eyes. His pupils had turned black and his breath was shortened. All that could be heard was Arthur's voice.
"I need you to protect my daughter Mila and make sure that anyone who hurts her will suffer greatly," he spoke. Then, silence.
"I know. That's why I'm willing to sell my soul to you. In exchange for my daughter's peace."
Not long after, I could hear Arthur's screams reverberating through his body. His soul was quivering and his breath was getting shallower. In seconds, Arthur was gone but I was happy. Mila could finally live the life she deserved.

The sun was piercing through our white, sheer curtains the next morning. The sunlight hit her emerald eyes. Her beautiful smile lit up her face. She seems so much more at peace. I watch her slowly wake up. I pull her closer to my chest and feel her breath on my skin.
“It’s too early,” she groaned.
“It’s never too early to love you,” I replied.
“I love you,” She whispered.
“I love you... more than you'll ever know.”
