The Last Moments in America

A girl asked how her parents met.

21st August, 1995:

A tornado was predicted to happen near a neigborhood. An 18 years old girl named Sara and her mom was waiting for her dad to come home anxiously. The wind blew stronger than ever, while they were trying to evacuate. They ran back to their house because the wind were too strong. They heard a car sound nearby but they didn't know who it was. After ten minutes of getting scared, they went outside. Seeing some flipped cars, broken trees and poles. Sara ran to a car that she thought she knew. She saw blood dripping from the car. She took a look and was shocked. To her surprise, it was her father's body. She heard a sound, a loud one too. She stared back, seeing her mother's body, who's head crushed by a tree. She shouted loudly.

1 September 1995:

She heard some news about the two 18 years old boys in the same. The boys also had their parents dead on the same incident. Sara was still trying to deal with her parent's death. But, because her parents died when she was 18, she had to take the responsibility. Sara planned to move into her aunt's house in New York on November.

10 September:

She found out the other kids which their parents had died were rich. So the two boys were rich kids. Eventually, they met each other accidentally on the day. They started hanging out. The boys are Dan and Harris.

15 September:

Sara starts to feel very anxious and excited at the same time when she meets Dan. She just blushed every time Dan looks at her. She confessed to him and Dan said he felt the same thing. Later that day, they had their first date.

20 September:

They told Harris about their relationship and he was happy for them. Later at high school, Sara got bullied because of her parents' deaths. She was called an orphan. But, Harris came to rescue. Harris walked Sara home.

21 September:

The kids had a breakfast together. Harris told Dan what happened last evening. Dan said he would be more protective over Sara and if anything happens Sara has to call her.

15 October:

Sara planned to study together with her Dan and Harris this evening. They planned to study together at a cafe for the upcoming exams. Later the evening, Sara called Dan but he didn't answer. Harris tried to call him but still, he didn't answer. After a few minutes, Sara decided to go to her boyfriend's house. She opened the doors and to her surprise, it was her boyfriend, sleeping with another girl naked. She ran out from the house crying. She went to the cafe and told Harris. Harris texted him and postponed the study tomorrow.

20 October:

Sara and Harris went to school, leaving Dan alone in the cafe. Dan went to school and asked them why they didn't have breakfast together. Sara started crying and shouting at Dan, making a scene in the public. "You liar! I won't believe you, ever again!". Dan was trying to make her calm but it didn't work. Harris were hugging Sara, trying to stop her from raging. But the girl was so angry that she punched Harris in the face. After a few minutes, she ran back to class. Harris was looking at Sara all the time with an annoyed face. She said sorry on the way back home together.

23 October:

They broke up. Harris was at Sara's house, trying to comfort her. Sara was crying on the night so bad that she got a cold the next day.

24 October:

Dan was trying his best to apologize to her. But she was looking at him with an emotionless face. Dan said "If you move to New York, I'll move there too." Sara was still deciding whether to forgive him or just be strangers with him.

29 October:

Sara was talking to Harris. Sara said that this is her last day here. "So you just forgave him like that?", asked Harris. "I don't know, I didn't decide yet."

Harris said "Since this is your last day here, wanna go camping?".

Sara nodded. Later at the park, Harris and Sara were eating together. After some time of eating, they started to dance together and ride bicycles together. As the day started to darken up, they saw the stars and moon on their way back home. They stopped at a moment, realizing they both suddenly blushed. They kissed and went separate ways home. Sara got a phone call from Dan. He reminded her about tomorrow. She sat down her bed, crying. She was crying, trying to decide whether to follow her first love or her new love.

30 October:

Sara stepped out of her house with her luggage and her umbrella. It was raining heavily outside. Dan was with his driver, waiting in his big expensive car. His driver opened the trunk and stuffed Sara's luggage. Sara took her phone out, calling Harris. "I'm leaving. Bye." She hung up the phone. Harris ran out of his house with no umbrella, going through the heavy rain. The driver opened the door. Sara was standing in front of the door, hesitatingly. Dan who was inside the car "Come on, later you'll get wet." She was slowly stepping into the car. Suddenly she heard footsteps. She stood up and stared back. What was in her sight was Harris. Harris was soaking wet. Harris shouted "I don't know what you felt about me, but if you feel the same thing I feel, stay with me Sara."

So who did she chose in the end?

Sara: That's our story, sweetheart.

Girl: That story was so sweet! I have never heard any teen love stories like this!

Harris: Well, maybe you can make a Gacha Club movie out of the story.

Girl: That's a great idea, Dad!
