"Yes, we have Jane Doe here to take the stage." Jean, the CEO of the company, handed the mic to me and I stepped up onto the podium with a little grin on my face, my speech was rehearsed a million times over and over again, and I was sure it would hit their hearts.

I began with a sigh and then said, "Dearly beloved. I don't know how else to start LO. L, we are gathered here because we won the race. The contest, the competition we are number one in all e-commerce platforms," and everyone clapped and cheered for a minute.

There were about 30 people in the room. It was a meeting room, the doors and windows were closed. So I was having trouble breathing all of a sudden, then everyone, the press started asking questions, what how did you do it? What was your role in the success of the company?

And I said, "Well, it was all a team effort and everyone put in their share, and we worked well together as a team," and everyone nodded, except for one girl, in the back was frowning down on her phone. That was Gina. The one who always had an attitude. I think she had trouble at home. I didn't know what was going on with her.

And then I stalled and faltered. And John, the tall older man with graying hair stepped up and took the mic and said, "OK. That will be all, any more questions. I will answer them."

Then, I kind of felt faint and actually fainted on the floor. Some people came to my aid, and the emergency crew was called and I was taken out on a cot into the ambulance to the hospital.

"Wait", I woke up. "What was that all about? Where am I?"

"You fainted at the meeting," said my faithful co-worker Sue, standing by my side. The Doctor and the nurse were taking my pulse and my Blood Pressure.

Wow, I thought I was dreaming or something, that was real. Yeah, and then all of a sudden, everything faded out again. I didn't know what was going on. Maybe it was a result of exhaustion from working, so hard at becoming the top dogs in the industry. Between me and my teammates in the company, so I went into a deep-sleep. And when I got out, they said, I was in a coma for 4 hours and I said, "Wow, am I lucky to be alive or is this normal?"

And they said, "Yeah, it's kind of like your heartbeat slowed for a while. We were praying and hoping you wouldn't be giving up on your life, I mean, you must be really burnt out."

I said, "Yeah," but then they put me in a wheelchair and wheeled me down to the bingo room.

I said, "Wait, is this a nursing home. I'm not that old, I don't need to be in a wheelchair or doing bingo with old people. I'm only 55, my life is, at its peak. I have a family at home that's waiting for me, did Gary call?"

"No, he didn't call," answered Sue.

"Oh, yeah, that's right. He brought the kids to the baseball game. Okay. Well I guess I gotta get going. Can I get out of these clothes and put my regular garments on? I need to get in my car."

"Yeah, your car is back at the job."

"Well, I'll need a taxi. Can someone give me a pass for taxi?"

"Yes," the Doctor said and he made the arrangements and the cab came and picked me up. I was on my way back home and I put the keys down and I noticed that Gary had left a note, he said he took the kids on a trip to Massachusetts, and I was like, wait. What? And then he added that he would be back in a week, I was like, wait. What why did you do that?I called him desperately.

The End
