Jamie loves her books. Everyday Jamie is seeing reading a book in her home, in school in the park even the mall. Nobody can get Jamie to stop reading her books, not her parents, sister or her best friend. Jamie loves her books, they are what makes her happy. In an age where technology rules everyday life, things are changing for the better. Jamie is not a fan of change, but she has no choice but to go along with it. One thing Jamie does not want to change is her love for her books, but that too is going to change.
Paper, and hard cover books have become a thing of the past. Jamie loves the old fashion books, she has hundreds of those kinds of books, but like everything in Jamie's life technology has a way of rearing its ugly head. The biggest tech company has develop a new technology called the Mega-reader where millions upon millions of books are stored. The Mega-reader is easily becoming the hottest item, but Jamie is not happy. Jamie loves the old fashion books and nothing is going to stop her from reading the way she wants to.
Jamie's family and friends have all bought the mega-reader, they love it, but not Jamie. Jamie's family and friends don't understand why she still wants to read books instead of getting the Mega-reader. They feel like Jamie needs to get with the time and to stop her foolishness. Jamie is a strong-willed woman, she is not going to let her family and friends get in the way of what she loves. Jamie's books are her world, and she is not going to give them up no matter what people think of her.
What Jamie loves the most about her books is that the characters feel real to her and not fake. Jamie loves the smell of new books and the feel of her books. The old fashion books feel real to her. The Mega-reader for Jamie is fake and the characters don't seem authentic. Jamie likes to feel like she is one of the characters in her books, soaring in the air, flying a plane and even being the heroine staring down the bad guys, with the old fashion books Jamie can be all these things and so much more, but with the Mega-reader Jamie feels stuck and not happy.
Jamie sees how popular the Mega-reader is, but she also sees that not a lot of people like to read. Jamie feels the only reason people are getting the Mega-reader is because it's a new technology, and not for the love of reading. In her own family her sister Julia doesn't like to read, she got the Mega-reader because it's a new technology. Jamie gets very angry because people are taking advantage of the written word, and this one the reason Jamie does not want to get the Mega-reader, the second reason is because Jamie does not like big tech companies. Jamie prefers the small businesses where she can get the books she loves.
The big tech companies are scaring away the small businesses that Jamie loves. Reading is a passion of Jamie, these small businesses gives Jamie a place where she feels safe enough to read and a place where she can get her books. The Mega-reader is not sold in these small businesses because like Jamie they don't like big tech companies. Jamie feels that these big tech companies are suffocating the people, but the people don't see it that way. Technology has made it easy for the people, but Jamie likes the hard work she puts into her books and everything else she does.
Jamie finds it difficult that her parents and friends don't understand the kind of person she is. Jamie is not a technology girl. Jamie loves everything old fashion especially her books. Jamie loves to study about the old days and she learns everything by reading her books. The Mega-reader does not give meaning to Jamie's life, it doesn't full fill her passion for learning, its only a means to end for people. The Mega-reader like all other technology will only make peoples life easier, but with books Jamie finds purpose and meaning something she never felt before.
Everyday Jamie walks to school carrying her books and she sees people with the Mega-reader, but they are not reading, they are showing off their latest technology, this gets Jamie very angry. Once agin people are taking advantage of the written word. Jamie wants to show people that their is more to reading then buying technology, but to the people technology is a way to make their lives easier, and the Mega-reader is their way of making their lives easy and better. Jamie is not going to let these people bother her. The Mega-reader is not for her, and she does not care what people think of her. Jamie walks proudly to her school with her books.
Jamie will do whatever it takes to protect her books. Jamie is not going to let anybody stand in her way. The Mega-reader is popular, but for Jamie her books will teach her more things then the Mega-reader. The Mega-reader is more fancier then books, and its easier to get books, for Jamie it's not about how much money you spend it's all about love for the written word.
Jamie loves her books, the Mega-reader is a nuances to her and does not represents who she is as a person. Despite the Mega-reader being very popular Jamie will always prefers her books and will always support the small businesses where her books are sold. Jamie does not care what her parents and friends think about her. Jamie's books are her world, she loves the characters and everything they represent. Jamie will always support the old fashion books. Jamie hopes that one day her parents and friends will see the reason why she loves her books and the reason why she does not like the Mega-reader. Jamie hopes one day that the people will come to love reading and not find it hard, but for now Jamie is happy with what she has. Jamie will always love the old fashion books, now and forever.
