The Transformation of our people.

Written in response to: "Write a story about transformation."

General

In the cold, dark waters of a forest stream, a shadow transforms. A mysterious being lurks in the waters.

It shifts into another shape, and emerges as a human. It roams the earth, silent as a stream of water.

This being is dangerous, I should know. I am a researcher that lives in the village of Rainsar. My name is Clayan. I have been studying this creature for a long time, and I have begun to call the beast a nightmare master, just in case there are more beasts like it. Anyway like I was saying, an encounter with it could change your life forever, for it knows what your heart desires. It can shift into something that could fulfill your life long dream.

Follow it and be lost forever. Where? No one knows.

It’s name is Nolexas. As far as humans know, there is no known way to banish it from earth, or sky.

The only thing that we do know is, it has no true form.

Everyday for a century, the being gains power and knowledge of our whereabouts. I fear, every time it gains full power, the world's people become weaker.

Ever since I started my research on this beast it seems to be stalking me. The more I know, the more I fear for the world's safety. For, every ounce of power it gets, it will use against us.

It’s weakness? Human courage. If we all stand strong the beast can not get to us.

If we work together, we can transform into stronger people. All it takes is courage and hope. If we are strong,we can make a shield of courage to save the world.

In the dark woods I, Nolexas, start to make my plan. I depend on the timedness of human beings to make me stronger. I move in close to a town ready to strike, ready to be the cloud of misery that runs over the land. But, wait, what is this? I feel weak with the amount of courage in the air. The humans fight back? They have found my weakness. Attacking this village will not be easy, the humans transform before me. I must be quick.

“Word has gotten out, the being that has never seen is coming!” Leader Fyan calls out. The being that has never seen,That is what the warriors of Findell call it. And now that we know the weakness of this foul beast, no better people to fight than us! I am Caren a warrior of Findell, We have fought many wars, and have very strong courage, this beast is no match for us!

Today we make a gathering of people to fight back with courage. I have underestimated the power of the young ones, for they are strong, yes very. I have found that this is because they are new. New to the horrors and nightmares of the world. The scariest monster remains a furry dog in their mind. Today we have a visitor. The warriors. The people with the strongest courage you will ever see. They make standing strong look natural. I know we will need them on our side.

I feel a threat approach. The treat of the people. They have an ally, the warriors. Men such as these have never been so great. If I don’t attack soon I could lose my chance. No, wait for them all to come together like they want. They will all be in one spot that way. Yes, that will work.

Today the troops of Findell came to the village, Rainsar, of the researcher,Clayan, gathering people of strong courage to come and fight. Of course we came to help out, and to bring great hope to the people. Many kids and adults were there to help, and to greet us. The researcher tells us of the strength of the young children. He says that our troops will be of great service, and that we are to help discouraged people.

The warriors of Findell will help us very much I am sure. It is a great miracle that they came to our aid when we needed them most. If only there was some way to get the word out…  Sending a messenger is too risky. We can’t afford to lose a person now. Not when we are so close.

The people, they grow stronger. They know now. The village is strong, but I feel a possibility of more courage, more humans out there. No, don’t strike yet! Wait, just wait.

“Village of Mournasita! The world is looking for saving! The village of Rainsar and their fearless leader, Clayan, grow strong! We shall go to help!” Our troop, the izendells, masters of weapon craft, as crafty as we are, we are not strong fighters. We make weapons though, of course they will not be of any use. But still we try. We are going to help out with the fight in the village of Rainsar. Some in my troop say it will be the biggest of battles ever to be fought. We will lend our knowledge to those who need it, and this battle will be fought!

The group gets bigger, and stronger. I must close in on the village. I must now. No turning back. I continue to charge forward toward the village in which the researcher works hard to prepare the villagers for battle. Moving most silently, so as not to draw attention, but alas, a snap sounds and this makes me feel alert, it makes me wait, pause, freeze, in it’s spot right inside the village woods.

“Stay calm, gather your courage!” I tell the many people, “This battle is to be won!”

The troops of Izendell listen to the words of the researcher. We stay silent and still. Not a muscle moves.

Our village of mournesita’s troops surrounds the large group, steal shields ready to protect.

I start to circle the large group of men, women, children, and warriors. They stand strong though. No problem though, they will back off, this victory will be mine!

We need a taller formation! I think to myself. “ Make a tower!” I say, “ Get on eachothers shoulders.”

What!? Are they making towers!? Out of themselves?!

Our troop hands out Izendell made shields from our village to the people making the towers. Even though this monster has no weapon we don’t know for sure.

I am starting to think there might actually be some hope!

I am going to strike, these people can’t possibly be that strong! I strike!

“Hold yourselves!” I say, “Hold…” I close my eyes.

All troops stand tall.

The group is strong, we wait, and wait. A light circles us and a warm, happy, feeling runs over us. I hear the beast screech:

“What!? No! My plan was flawless! NOOO!”

I have no clue what plans Nolexas means, but after the light cleared it was gone. We had won!

Three weeks later…

After many weeks of thought and further research, I have found that the shear energy of the people, fighting together, defeated the beast. The willingness to come to our village’s aid, showed that we were much more than allies, we were friends. And that is why we all remember the time we once fought, together. The time we came together,

The time our people transformed.

I thought it was amazing how the weakness of the monster was human courage, that was vert motivational to read. My one concern is that during some parts of story, apart from the italicized parts which were clearly the monster, the point of views were confusing and I could not tell who the narrator was. But overall, your story was well thought of, very meaningful, and I really enjoyed reading it.
