Sad Suspense Creative Nonfiction

Like wildfire, Anger and rage spread through the heart of Mr. Raymond as his boss spilled out his words. With his eyebrows fully raised high, " what is all this you got here?" His boss said, placing His hand on a pile of files on the desk. "They are files Sir" Mr. Raymond replied while holding back his reckless but honest words. Awkward silence filled the air for a moment. Leaning on Mr. Raymond's desk and giving him an intimidating glare "I surpose you know what to do with them then" Said Mr. Harry. There was no reply from Mr. Raymond. Mr. Harry then turned to walk out of the glass door of of Mr. Raymond's office. "Sir.." Mr. Raymond began ready to open up the bottle where he had been saving the bitter truth about Mr. Harry's attitude towards his workers. He was literally feed up of Mr. Harry's attitude. "Can I have a break from all these?" He asked. "Oh my" said Mr. Harry in surprise. "I'm to much for you as a boss!!! "You want me to stop being your boss right?! It's pretty easy in tha..." "No Sir I didn't mean it that way" Said Mr. Raymond cutting in. He however ment it that way. "I meant like a leave" he continued. "No you can't" Mr. Raymond replied with a serious and intimidating look.

The burden felt heavier on Mr. Raymond's shoulders as he looked around and saw the magnitude of task at hand when Mr. Harry worked out of his office. Alot of issues seemed to be seeking Mr. Raymond's attention at the moment; Matilda's issues, rent issues, and even his the "old school" rickety car seeked his attention too. But most importantly, he had to settle the files infront of him before he could even think of settling his rumbling Stomach.

Fortunately for Mr. Raymond, he was able to settle the pile of files in his front before close of work. One after each other, His co-workers Express their sympathy with him. He was demoted in the early hours of that day by "prince Harry" as they called his boss. The sympathy went a long way for him. It made Him feel a bit understood. He smiled walking through the exit doors of the company. All of a sudden, it felt like tragedy again. He was infront of his red toy shaped rickety car that was waiting for him in the car park. The condition of the car always had a way to make him sad.

Exhausted, with a headache and muscle pains, he eventually got home after making so many stops on the way to either cool the overheating engine or reconnect the battery terminal. The first place he could even think of going to on getting home was the kitchen. He came out of the kitchen with a plastic bag containing only three slices of bread, Not enough to fill him up but just alright to hold his stomach till he coould get groceries.

He sprung up suddenly from the couch squinting his eyes trying to leave the oblivion he was in and trying to bounce back into reality. He didn't realise at first what at woken him up. So He just decided to lay back believing that it was the power the margarine and bread had to make him sleep that had weared off. "Ring-Ring" he heard suddenly. He rushed up to his cell phone. However, before he could get to the phone, the caller had already ended the call. "Nooooo!!!!" He cried On getting to his phone. His phone read three missed calls from Matilda. "I'm doomed mehn" he exclaimed with so much fright in his tone. As he returned Matilda's call, he could recall the grievance she felt when he missed her call the last time. He however didn't want history to repeat itself. He decided to return the call as early as possible. While he dailed the phone, he began to think about how he'll explain to her what happened. Before he could finish thinking about a perfect apology, "what the hell is your problem young man?!!!" She said as she picked the call. "Tilda, my bad. I'm so sorry" he replied being so apologetic. " Keep those filthy apologies to yourself boy. I mean, you call yourself a man right?! And you can't even Keep up with simple deals you make with the girl you claim you love" She said feeling so entitled. "I know, I know" he said as he felt bad for letting her down again. "Oh you do?! You know hun?! What a coward you are young man. Messed up coward." She said to him. "Tilda, the thing is I had a hard time today at work and I couldn't seem to meet up with my schedules. And By the way..." he said trying to explain to his girlfriend why he couldn't make it to an hangout until she cut in saying "oh really?!! I see!! You know, I blame my self for taking me this long before I realised that you were worth nothing. I mean, tell me which man promises to follow his lady for a hang out with friends and fails?!! Hun?! Tell me you coward!!! She said while yelling at Raymond on the phone. Tilda you know, a real lady gives her man a shoulder to lean on when things seem rough rather than rant at him. Today, I got demoted at work, came home on and empty stomach, tried to get something to eat and get some rest and accidentally forgot that I have a get-together you forced me to promise to go with you and some fake friends who are afraid to tell you how bad of a character you got. Tilda, after much consideration, I'm done with... "Raymond!!!!!!!" Yelled Matilda with an aggressive high pitch trying to bring home back to his conscious state. Apparently he had gone into deep thought of how he will pour out all he had been storing for Matilda. He really wanted to end relationship with her. Matilda however didn't stop, rather she went on and on and on and on ranting and ranting and ranting. The atmosphere in Mr. Raymond's brain and mind began to boil with rage while he remained silent. After dealing with the rants for a while. He couldn't take it anymore, he wanted to tell her the bitter truth about herself. "Raym..." "Matilda Thompson" he cut her in. "I've had it enough with you. I'm done. Thank you."

I'm glad Matilda is out of Raymond's life! She is not a very considerate person.
