Fantasy Fiction

The siege had lasted for years. Noone and Crackfoot have tried to outwit each other, they tried every tactic they knew, pulled off every kind of miracle known in the land, but nothing worked. Neither side budged and both armies still stood facing each other. Warriors on both sides respected each other. Heros had been born from this siege.

Until this day, when an angel appeared to Crackfoot and the King of Kamo and said "King Kamo, the True God has seen this siege and wants to give you victory, however your worship of the Great Lion Gods must cease for Him to give you this gift." The king of Kamo gritted his teeth and shouted "The Great Lion Gods have been protecting this kingdom long before I was born. I don't need a foreign false god's help. Get out of my sight you demon." The angel bowed his head and walked away. Crackfoot saw the interaction and felt a feeling of dread. He never once wanted to kill someone so badly out of anger. He understood the situation, but for some reason, this king made his last foolish decision. He then went up to the king and said "Why did you send away our hope of ending this siege?" the king answered "Because the "true god" is nothing more than a cosmic tyrant made up by the Chrissten cultists. If we dare ask for his help we would be in an eternal debt that we would never be able to get out of. Plus there is little guarantee that he would actually help us. Finally, such a being with such power and knowledge does not exist." Crackfoot shot back by saying "We are in desperate need of allies if a foreign god has sent a heavenly being to talk about helping us we should at least consider their proposal." The king was getting very aggravated and said "Let me remind you, you are my guest. As one, you will respect my decisions." Crackfoot then said "Then let me remind you that you hired me to fight the enemy outside your walls. You know as well as I do we can't fight Noone alone and to continue like this would mean Kamo's death. Do you really want to the king who killed his country out of pride?" the king became even more aggravated but he couldn't help but be impressed with Crackfoot's arguments. Once he calmed down he sent Crackfoot to walk along the walls and see if there were any holes or weaknesses. Maybe this time he might be able to spot one.

Days later the walls of Kamo City crumbled from an earthquake, Noone's army charged into the city and proceeded to burn, freeze, and crush anyone who got in their way. Crackfoot, alongside many other nobles and royals, watched the city become flooded with magic and males. Crackfoot and the rest of his men stood guard in the throne room to guard the king. Noone and his army stormed into the throne room. This would be the first time Crackfoot and Noone dueled each other. They crossed blades, dodged each other's attacks, and cracked each other's armor. The king was casting various spells in a last-ditch effort to protect his throne only to be defeated by a couple of powerful magicians of various races. A feeling of hopelessness fell on Crackfoot. He knew he had lost, but he kept fighting until powerful magicians came and saved him from Noone's grasp. Crackfoot retreated with them, he was angry and sad as he saw the castle and surrounding area come crumbling down. They avoided Noone's army as they tore down statues, raided temples, and burned idols. They ran past families that were separated by the chaos, orphans who lost everything, and people crying as everything around became dust and ash. Crackfoot felt bad not helping them, for not saving them, for not protecting them, for not speaking up for them about the stupid decisions of the king and his advisors. Crackfoot wept as he ran out of Kamo City ashamed that he had lost. That a city that was once thought to be unconquerable and now fallen to the half-orcs. Then it hit him, the prophecies about how Noone would conquer all races and make Kamo fall had come true. The Chrisstens were right, they wrote the visions. This day was going to happen no matter what he did. It was only a matter of time before Noone succeeded, but from this day forth Crackfoot was going to single-handedly make Noone's campaign the bloodiest one to ever happen in Kolora's history. Crackfoot was going to the thorn on Noone's side for as long as possible. This defeat would be the worst one Crackfoot faced. This defeat shocked the continent and made everyone realize that Noone was not joking and that he had fulfilled a prophecy and was going to continue fulfilling them. On that day Crackfoot vowed the following "I will make Noone suffer, I will turn his armies into dust and ash and send them back to him in jars. I will find his son, his wife, and friends and kill them one by one. I will make sure that every battle my soldiers will kill 3 of his for one of mine he kills. I will purge every city of half-orcs and dwarves, and humans. I will make every house burn, every business broken, I will make the Nocee Empire suffer so that he will have nothing to rule over." The Siege of Kamo may have been over but the rivalry between Noone and Crackfoot had sparked.

As news spread Crackfoot offered his help to anyone who wanted to fight against Noone. The Nocee Empire had to fight for every mile in every country, just to move supplies around. They had to fight in every town and village, they had to fight in every river and woodland, they had to fight in every mountain and valley. Until Noone finally defeated Crackfoot in their final battle. The Final Battle as it is called by scholars.
