Every great love story involves love at first sight. Well, not this one. This is my great love story and let me tell you there was absolutely no love at first sight. When I first meet Percy he was the exact opposite of attractive. He had long matted hair, his eyes were cross-eyed, and he had a slight drooling problem. He had a limp in his step and one of his ears was cut off a bit. As I got to know him better I soon found out he had very few friends and was very lazy. He enjoyed spending his time sleeping in the comfort of his bed with remains of food scattered around him. Whenever he wasn’t being a couch potato he would always make a mess trying to help out around the house. I knew he was trying to help me out but honestly, I wish he would just mind his own business sometimes. He hated taking showers and was always smelly. He also enjoyed hunting, sometime he would bring home a type of bird, like a duck, and I would watch as he feasted on that for dinner while I had something a bit more appealing to me. At night we would curl up in bed and watch television together until we fell asleep. In the morning he would wake me up by giving me kisses all over my face. When I came home from work he would always be there waiting for my return. Along with Percy being very affectionate, he would also get bad days. He was never truly mean to me but would ignore me often and would stare out the window admiring all the beauty outside. Percy loved to be cocooned in blankets, or what I liked to call them blanket burritos. My love story with Percy isn’t the most normal but we both love each other so much even if I’m a human and he’s a cat.
