Sofia gift from grandma

This story is about a girl called sofia who visited her grandmother and was given two birds as a gift but didn't know how to take proper care of them💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Sofia and her mum were eating silently, she finished eating her food and took her bag then she hugged her to say goodbye before going to school

She arrived in school and quickly take her sit to write the last exam

After finishing the exam sofia and her friends Mary and Julie sat under a big tree in the school to talk about how they will spend their holidays

Mary said she and her family are going to visit the museum and some other places, Julie said she is going to visit her hometown, Mary asked sofia about how she will spend her holiday but sofia said she didn't know yet

Sofia went back home but her mum is not yet back from work so she headed to the kitchen to make herself noodles and sausage, then she sat down in front of the TV to watch her favourite show,

Sofia felt someone stroking her hair, then she quickly sprang to her feet and behold it's her mum she's already back from work

Sofia her mum called, why did you sleep here and the television is on too, but sofia explained to her that she didn't realised when she dozed off

Sofia took her mum's bag and brought her a cup of cold water to drink, she then sat next to her mum to ask her how she is going to spend her holiday, but her mum said nothing for a while and later she said she will think about it

The next day

Sofia woke up and went down stairs, she saw her mum packing some stuff and she ask her, Mum why are you packing are you going to somewhere and her mum replied with a yes and told her to go and get ready that they are going to visit her mother

Sofia feels extremely happy with the thought of visiting her grandmother, she went inside her room to get ready and returned down stairs to have breakfast before leaving

It was a long journey so sofia and her mum spent the night in a hotel and in the morning they continue their journey

They arrived in there in the afternoon the other day after the long journey, sofia was happy to see her grandmother so she ran to give her a big hug with happiness and they went inside

They ate and chatted for so many minutes before sofia stood up to check around the house and to her surprise nothing ever changes in her grandmother house since the last time she visited her and that was three years ago

Sofia told her mum that she wants to go and have a look around the town but her mum said no, then her grandmother said she can go but she will let one of the neighbours daughter go with her

Sofia was walking along the street with cherry which is the name of her grandmother neighbour daughter, the girl seems to be nice and she talks alot,

She took sofia to the field, marketplace, streams and so many interesting places, she told sofia about everything she needs to know about the town and sofia start becoming comfortable around her because she feels like a long time friend to her

but she is still thankful to her for showing her around the town.

When they return home,sofia thanked her and she went inside to see her mum, but her mum is not at home she only saw my grandma and she was with two birds they looked beautiful and she loved them instantly

After one week sofia and her mum are about to go back,sofia packed her bag and headed outside for her mum so that they can leave but sofia grandmother stopped them and went inside to bring the birds she was with earlier and gave it to sofia as a gift, sofia is happy about the gift and she waved her grandmother bye

When they were in the car going back home sofia was thinking of giving the birds names but she couldn't think of a good name for them but eventually she gave them lulu and nana

After getting home sofia took the birds to room, she placed water In their cages and she realised that she don't even know what the birds eat, so she try giving them bread and other foods like eggs, milk but the birds refuse to eat, so in the night when she was sleeping the birds won't allow her to sleep because they keep on chirping loudly, sometimes she try touching the birds to see if they will stop the sound but no it won't solve the problem

Day by day sofia start getting worried about the birds she taught if she didn't take good care of them they may die someday but she doesn't want such thing to happen because it's a gift from her grandmother,

Lulu and nana start falling sick and sofia becomes more worried about the birds but unfortunately one of the birds died and sofia was heartbroken and she start searching online on how to take care of birds because she's determined to save the other one

After four days of sleepless night sofia decided to seek out for help and fortunately she found someone who is good in taking care of birds and she used the advice the expert gave her and it works,

Sofia always keep an eye on the bird so that it can recover quickly, she also bought some drugs that she was told to buy and was to give it to the bird two times a day which is in the morning and night

It's being a week since nana died and lulu is now perfectly fine with sofia taking good care of it

Sofia and lulu are living happily together and no more sleepless night
