Amazingly she waits to see the results from her book. All the time of 3 years writing had come to an end. Tired and worry, working two jobs, Raising a family of nine children with no father in sight. He had gotten tired and left, leaving them on an acre of land to fend for theselves. They had helper no man can see. Yet they never seen a hungry day. The wood stove kept the cold outside. No it wasn't an easy life. They had each other and their God. What more did they need? Three years she wrote about all the time God had come and helped them. How when food was needed a deer was brought home. How winter came and the wood stove burned hot day and night. A trusty chain saw and a strong mothers back. They had made it in life and she wanted to share her story. Going over the the book from start to finish at least ten times to correct it's spelling with an 8th grade education. Finally the story was finished. The many sicknesses that had made life's road.To the many healing that quickly followed. Many times living in the way people in 1800s lived. Yet it was 1970s. No running water. No friends to help. She wanted to tell the world her God had done the impossible. Now the time had come to put all her memories on paper. The book itself would be another miracle in itself. They had seen many miracles on thier road of life. They weren't easy to come by.Not without struggle and tests.Yet they always came After the miracle came a short resting period , before another pot hole in the road. Sometimes we saw them coming sometimes we were caught unaware. Either way somehow we made it through each challenge together. Not without each other. Now the time had finally arrived. How exciting! Surely someone had a plan for less fortunate people who had a story to tell and not much money! The search began! Many were willing to publish for 2000 dollars or more. 2000 was more than their eyes had seen at one time in a life time. The view was looking harder by every attempt to publish. Every door seem to close before ever opening. One company said they would publish for 500 dollars.500 was easier to get than 2000. It wouldn't be easy. Most all the money earned went to bills and rent. Finally the 500 was raised and summited along with the story. 500 taken away and no publisher to be found. He was such a kind person.Spoke of God and how the world needed a book like this one. Just like that all hope was gone and with it 500 hard earned dollars. Yet some where down the road hope surfaced again. Strength to press on. Like an old friend had returned like the many times in the past. It looked almost impossible at this point, yet remembering all the miracles of time past ignited a flame of hope like so many times before. Sometimes life will throw an unexpected curve. You have to keep praying and holding on to God's promises. That we know cannot fail! By now her family was raised and withp families of thier own. So were lifers in the Navy. Some were home makers. All were good family members loving their own children as their mother had lived them. Each one with faith down down deep in their souls from past experiences. Times to look back at and laugh. They had made it when all odds said they would not. To look back and laugh because now time pasted had made the memories look softer.Yet scary to think of one women with 9 children could tackle life. Life with such fearce blows that all hope would leave.Yet somewhere out of no where hope would arise. Could have been full bellies and a safe good night's sleep. That seems to cure it all. For sure it was the creator that created us to with stand many things in life. They had their share and someone else's share it seemed at times. But now the past was the past.Things were better.Less mouths to feed. Less clothes to wash. Many more blessings than tests for sure. When all options were used up and no help in sight. Turning to the only one that can make the impossible possible. As humans we tend to keep God on the back burner. Thinking we can do things on our own. When the time comes that we fail and fail and fail. We turn our eyes to the maker for help. This was the last straw. All had been done that could possibly done with no avail. That's when God works the best. When human hands are tied. .Humbly reminding the creator we nothing with out him.Asking in faith that he would somehow some way help to publish this book.Knowing it had to be his will. If not the whole story would be in vain. Low and behold the 3rd from the the first born called home. It was always a blessing to hear from them all. To hear thier success stories in life. As the conversation comes up about publishing the book. That one would have given the mother the money to publish her book. She would not take one penny of her child's hard earned money. She had been the bread winner. The one who encourage success in thier lives. She would not take money from her children. Never wanted to be a burden to them. Knowing that her caller suggested a company that would publish for 30 percent of the profit. All lose ends were prepared to send the book in to be reviewed.Book was excepted and published with in 2 weeks. All the impossible dream had come to pass. Again God had answered her prayers, like so many times before. How proud she felt to share with anyone who cared to read. How a real life God that created heaven and earth.Took the time to help a single mother raise her huge family. Then write a book and.publish it in testimony of him.

Hi Vanessa! I’m here for the critique circle! Hopefully I’ll have some useful thoughts for you. This is quite hard to follow in places because the punctuation and the grammar are a bit wobbly. However, it’s a beautiful tale of hope. I really liked how strong the mother was and how she kept going even though life was tough. It’s maybe a bit heavy on the religion for me but that’s personal preference. I did enjoy the devotion she had for her God and how that was a thread running through the whole narrative. I’m glad I got to read this ...
