What time is it?
Does anybody really know?
Does anybody really care?
I can’t imagine why.
Oh boy. Oh girl.
Time to get with the program.
Time heals all wounds. Application of the correct dosage must be precise, exact, timely intended. Otherwise,
waste of time, wasted time, time is a wasting.
Time is precious. A precious commodity never to be wasted. Not one of us knows how much of it we have. We think it is endless, we sometimes treat others like it is endless.
Fools, we are rushing in to “ state our case.” Of our jumbled stories of right and wrong, right gone wrong, and ultimately, righting the wrong……
He. Is the only judge. The sworn ones down here, on the benches and courts of our lives, took an oath to uphold the civil liberties of its country’s citizens. Black, white, bone chilingly, unfortunately, at times.
Good news.
God knows our hearts.
Phew.
There is a lot of mess to go around these days. A lot.
The great pay off looms large and in charge.
Possession is 9/10ths of the law, they say. Who possesses the most is where we are stuck in an endless pull of right versus wrong. Knee capping even our supposed best friend in order to plow over their righteous indignation.
Simple.But.Complicted. Hash tag: Never ending.
Yep.
Fear.
Yep.
Confusion.
Yep.
We rely on Him to make sense of it all.
He will. In time. We are impatient. Impatiently waiting for someone to get it right.
The someone stares at us in the mirror. We sometimes do not recognize what we see. We foolishly think if we play our cards right, it will all magically fall into place, fall into our laps. Someone will catch us when we fall.
G.P.S= God’s Positioning System (WHCOC).
The Bible tells us so. Divine guidance for direction comes in the form of rain, and sun, and clouds, and weathering the storms when we have no more left to give. Look for lessons from past experiences and mistakes, and examples of where and how we,
”goofed.”
Prudence takes us by the hand and shows us the manners we need to have in order to love our enemy as ourself when we would rather use our taken hand to punch our enemy in the nose.
The shipwreck causes us nausea and a stranding of aloneness we never expected. We thought we were so popular, so well liked, after all.
The old ways always worked so well and good. We journey along with our “all that” ways and before we know it forgot to look down at the hole in the bottom of our vessel of here to there. The hole in our own story. We may even forget what the truth was, or is. Did you know? A lie is harder to remember than the truth.
How do you like them apples?
”Trust in the Lord with all your heart…and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs3:5-6)
This concept of trusting in a higher power provides a moral and spiritual “compass.”
Roll the dice if you so choose. The dealer is only in control insomuch as the cards tell the story after the money has been spent. A lousy way to live as our inner demons took hold of our better senses. Common sense, too.
It is ok to play at the tables, but to sign one’s life away while He is looking over our shoulder is not smart.
During Abraham’s trek, God directed Abraham to “look around, to the north and south, to the east and west.” He was offering Abraham a morally compassed way as guidance to a life well lived. Well lived. Sharing all that is good.
Weathering the storms. Difficult in the worst of time.Even in the best of times, too. He provides a map. A road map.
The same old, same old might be the easier way to exist. If we dig deep, fill the hole of our own mis- giving, there is a whole big world out there waiting for us to set sail, chart a course, get it right.
We can.
How?
The weather serves as our guidance each and every day. Morning, noon and night.
The Four Winds. Ancient sailors travelers keenly observed wind direction. (Before the internet was invented) They watched, felt and rode the winds to safety, to land. To feet on the ground.
The Bible tells us of the four winds.(AI)
West wind: Jesus referenced the coming of a shower when a cloud appears in the west.(Luke 12:54)
East wind: The wind of the Lord. The scorching east wind originated from the desert and caused heat and drought. A wind that scattered Paul’s ship (Acts 27:14)
South wind: Brought good weather and warmth in cooler months and extreme heat in warmer seasons. (Luke 12:55)
North wind: A strong, dry, and cool wind that could be disagreeable and “drives away rain.” (Proverbs 25:23)
The winds of change carry us on.
We resist change because we mis-read the cues, instead relying on ourselves and our ever knowingness instead of Him knowing our hearts.
We are fearful. We turn arrogance into a weapon of mass destruction. Instead of turning the other cheek we intended to turn our enemy on their head instead.
Fear is a fickle beast. Driven by the devil of the details of specific inner turmoil. We expound so much useful energy on sticking it to our neighbor, our so called nemesis.
Although weather prediction is not an exact science. He teaches us with a steady hand of navigational force and will to read the gentle breezes as a way to live in harmony with one another.
Yep. The winds of change blow starkly in the right direction. Either we join and ride the wave or exhaust our resources attempting to continually fight against change.
The compass is as close to our heart as we ask it to be.
How we conduct the journey during the battle is entirely our choice.
Please remember this during the next treacherous weather pattern that blows into your life. The answer is Blowin’ in the Wind.
