Bedtime Fiction Horror

She sat on the ground. It was cold and seemed like it could never be even if you tried, it was to rocky. She could tell it was cement even if she couldn't see it. There was a bag over her head. She could hear other people she seemed to be struggling in the same room as her. Her hands were tied behind her back and her feet were tied together. Stuck is a feeling that is just fowl. She could hear the others trying to scream for help but it was all muffled.  Footsteps echoed through the room and stopped in front of her. She felt the bag get ripped off her head in a swift motion, so fast it ripped a few chunks of her hair out with it. The person that stood in front of her was a man with a golden skull mask and a hood that was up to hide his hair if he even had any. He walked over to three other people and ripped the bag off their heads to and the room was filled with screams. There were ten people and reasonably most were screaming for help, others begged to be let go, and the rest were frozen in fear. One by one they were moved into a chair that was placed around a round table in the center of the room. The table looked like a failed DIY project. It was uneven and seemed like one poke would get you a splinter. In the center of the table there was a blood red polished boxes with gold trimmings. One everyone was sat at the table the man walked around and cut everyone's hands free and as he was doing that there was a static sound and a voice filled the room.

"Don't try to fight. That will only cause death." The voice spoke out and it was low and sounded like it was inhuman. Of course one girl didn't listen. She tried to fight the man with a skull mask which resulted in him pulling out a gun and shooting her in the head. Screams filled the room as brain matter got flung onto everyone. No one tried to fight it after that. The man in the skull mask sat in the dead girls seat and grabbed the red box. As he moved the box to him the air was filled with scratches and small slivers of wood. Once the box was to him it was opened soundlessly. The man in the skull mask pulled out a revolver and a bullet. He put the bullet into the cylinder and spun it then shut it so fast no one could see where the bullet ended up. The gun was handed to the first man to the left of the guy with the skull mask. The gun sat in front of the guy for a minute. Nothing happened. The room was still, like it was frozen. A sigh came from the man in the skull mask, the first actual sound that he has made. He used his hand to pick up his own gun and held it against his own head, he pretended to shoot himself. The guy still didn't move. The speaker made a static sound again and the same voice loudly beamed around the room.

"Participate or you will be disqualified from my game. Being disqualified will end with a bullet in your head." The speaker cut out after that. The man shaking picked up the gun and held it to his head. Looked away in fear. They could hear the hun rattle in his hands then a click. After that everyone looked back to see him throw the gun onto the table in fear. The man in the skull mask looked at the next person. A girl with bright ginger hair who looked to be only nineteen. She was hesitant but she knew she would be yelled at to do it to so she picked up the revolver and held it to her head. She was mumbling to herself, it was barely audible. She was begging openly to not die. She pulled the trigger and with a click she noticed she was fine, for now.

She set the gun on the table and slid it to the next guy. He seemed more ready. He seemed put together and ready for his turn. He picked up the gun and squeezed the trigger and once it registered nothing happened he didn’t set the gun on the table he held it out to the next girl. It the girl. She was watching everything and it all was, just seeming like a nightmare. The man grabbed her hand and forced her to hold the gun. She just held the revolver in her hand just staring at it. She never held a gun in her like and couldn’t comprehend that she was doing it now let alone being forced to hold it to her own head and make a mockery out of her own life. The guy that forced the gun into her hand leaned into her ear.

“It’s better if you don’t think about it. Just do it.” He whispered to her and kept his voice calm. She nodded and with a shaky hand, brought the gun up to her head. She started squeezing her eyes shut and pulled the trigger. She stayed still after that. She became a statue. She felt someone take the gun away from her gently and she opened her eyes. The guy that went before her and helped her out, took the gun from her and passed it on to the next guy. The guy took the gun and nodded. He took the gun up to his head and pulled the trigger. The room was filled with a loud pop and a thud following it. More blood filled the room and the smell of iron was stronger than before.

The man with the skull mask clapped before standing up and going over to the newest dead body. He picked up the gun and took it back to his seat. He opened up the cylinder and took out another bullet from the red box. He slid the bullet in and then gave the cylinder a good spin then closing it before anyone was able to see where the bullet landed. He walked back to where the last guy that went was at and set the gun in front of the next in line. It was a girl who was just bawling at this point. She wasn’t able to control herself. She was scared. The man in the skull mask just walked back to his seat and kept watching as this girl started to beg for her freedom. The man in the skull mask just kept watching her. After a few minutes he pulled out his own gun and pointed it at her. Her eyes widened then she picked up the gun and held it to her head. She pulled the trigger and another loud pop filled the room with another thud. The man in the skull mask walked back over and took the gun back and then went back to his own seat. He did the same thing as before. He opened up the cylinder and put a bullet into it, gave it a good spin then closes it before anyone could see where the bullet ended up. He then walked up to the next guy and set it down on the table in front of him. The guy seemed like he was young as well. Early twenties for sure. He was very cleaned cut or at least seemed like he normally was. In this moment no one looked anywhere near cleaned with blood and brain matter covering them. He looked at the guy with the skull mask and sighed.

“I don’t really have a choice in this do I?” His voice was relatable to a young Christian Slater. The man in the skull mask slowly shook his head no. It was very robotic. The guy looked down and took a deep breath before picking up the revolver. He placed the gun on his temple and as he took a deep breath in he squeezed the trigger and with a click he released all the air in his lungs with a sigh. He set the gun down on the table and slid it over to the next girl. She started crying and shaking her head. She mumbled over and over that she can’t. Sounds of droplets started to hit the floor and made a puddle. The man with the skull mask looked under the table and looked back at the girl with the revolver. He shook his head at her and had his head hung in shame. She reached for the gun with her shaking hand and the gun fumbled around a bit before she was able to gain some control over herself and picked up the gun.  With the gun in hand she held it up to her head and she started crying louder. She looked up at the ceiling as she pulled the trigger and once she heard the click she looked back at everyone. She flung the gun onto the table towards the next guy. The guy cracked his neck and slapped his face a couple of times before picking up the gun and pointed it at his own head and pulled the trigger. Once it registered in his head that he was still alive he handed the gun to the man with the skull mask. The speakers then came back on.

“Congratulations you have completed round one.” The voice spoke out then it was gone.

A good concept for creating suspense. I would have liked to know the name of the first girl mentioned, something about her background... to help make her the centre of attention rather than the man controlling the "game". With some editing, this could easily build into a full novel.

Hi that was my goal I felt like the first chapter needed to bring questions into peoples heads like why is this happening.

Wow Natalie! Heart racing from the get go! A few grammatical errors throughout were a slight distraction but the story was so exciting that I could look over them... You need to write more... There is still so much more to this crazy scene!!
