Better equipage your personal baggage so as to have less luggage..

Someone once said that it takes a village correct? Where does all that baggage go to “rest”, recuperate, become anew. Not everyone has access to beachfront property..many have access to the dark and loneliest of streets, though.

How did that happen, anyway?

Colors, sizes, just plain old, “I just don’t like yous”?

Hey we have all been there, and many of us so NOT prefer to resort to brawls, riots and looting as our personal “payback”.

Even the Book of Common Prayer, a prayer book published in 1549 took a stab at it. The work of 1549 was the first prayer book to include (word derivative inclusion) the complete forms of service for daily and Sunday worship in English.(wk)

It contained Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, the Litany, and Holy Communion and also the occasional services in full; the orders for Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, “prayers to be said with the sick”, and a funeral service.(wk)

Wow.

It also set out in full the “propers”. (That is the parts of the service which , or at times throughout the Church’s Year). The 1549 book was revised in 1552 which was more Reformed, but from the same editorial hand, Thomas Cranmer.

Proper.

Various permutations of the Book of Common Prayer exist in and around, within and exterior in over 50 countries.

Traditional English-language Lutheran, Methodist and Presbyterian prayer books have borrowed from the Book of Common Prayer, and the marriage and burial rites have found their way into those of other denominations and into the English language. The Book of Divine Worship was published in the US in 2003 as a liturgical book for their use under Pope John Paul II pastoral provision.(wk)

Common prayer. Common core. Common sense. Preserving the integrity of the text is paramount. Copy right and printing rights take great care with the meanings and the messages. Advancement of learning is the reason for the season. The seasons of change, the seasons of life.

The handling of the baggage while contemplating the words, the text is required to be done with great care and extreme diligence. This is not considered the cliff notes version of how to get from there to here the fastest, speediest, most calculating.

On the contrary.

It may even been considerable to consider the baggage needs re-bagging or re-packaging a time or two, or more. That is a tough pill to swallow even with the strongest of stomachs. If you don’t like it, lump it? That is one way to look at it.

At the end of the day though, where does your commitment lie or lay? Probably the question is written, revised and re-texted in the Common Prayer Book. With a hint. With a clue. But sometimes the message isn’t always straightforward. A bit confusing.

The road not taken.

When confronted by two roads, what will you do? Choices and opportunities in life keep us alive. The hindrance and the baggage is best when left behind once and for all. Not always do-able. But there has to be a happy medium, Don’t you think? Wouldn’t you agree.

Jeez. We all must relive, at the end of the day, our life for that day, up to that point. And the more we stuff in down or in or wherever, it is bound to come up one way or another. Choice IS still yours.

How to act. Re-act. Take action. Be the change you want to see. See the change you want to be.

Choices and opportunities are what make us who we are.. most all of the time.

FOMO. Is a thing.

Fear of Missing Out.

Why not be fearful of missing out on an opportunity to do right, or even well by someone else. We all become so busy, busy, busy, trying to one-up one another, we forget to just say “Hey”. Not to request or resort to favor-mobbing or hob-nobbing (as in “Hob mobbing with the elitist of elite)

A simple “hey” could be the tiniest of purse/baggages in the world NOT destined to become a hefty bag of heaviest yuck, or a Gucci bag of fake novelties. The impedimenta of all imendimentas.

Try it, you’ll like it. Just nod and say “Hey”. Then. Move along.
