School Dances the worst thing to happen to a student that's not popular or what those evil barbies say beautiful. For me its another day at school, for others it's the spring dance they have the rush to find the perfect dress, perfect date, but I don't care I don't see the big reason for all the money spending or waiting/begging for a person to ask you out. Today they announced the Spring Fling dance wair all students are allowed to attend no matter what grade and I'm not planning on going.

I'm Dia, I'm in 11th grade, I'm not popular at school I'm a weird and funny person that guys love to be around me because I'm real I don't talk about anyone behind their back, I don't hook up with every person I meet, I don't care what people think of me, and girls hate it.

There were at least 10 minutes of class until the school bell rang. I was in my last class which was a language class and there wasn't much the teacher has assigned in that class, everyone was done by now which left me with left your free time to me and the rest of the class.

I don't have any friends in this class, which made the wait more boring, but overall, I liked this class because it was the most chill and challenge at the same time.

Throughout the class, I could feel someone's eyes burning from the back of the neck. From time to time, I would look back and try to find the person looking at me, but when I looked, nothing. Everyone was doing their own thing, either talking with their friends, others on their phones. Now I thought I was being paranoid. So I just shrugged it off.

A few minutes later, the bell had rung and I was dying to get out of that class and chill with my friends. I was walking outside of the classroom until I heard someone calling my name, but I was being pushed the opposite direction and couldn't see who it was.

I was pushed to the last floor of the building getting a glimpse of my friends and pushing my way towards them, but before I could even start talking, the same voice that said my name but this time they yelled my name. This time I was able to turn around, I saw a boy running up to me, I recognized him he is the foreign student that came last year a senior, now.

"Ah, You walk fast," he said, said out of breath probably because he ran through two floors to, talk to me? The thought of that made me let out a small laugh. "It's Junn, right?," I ask, hoping I'm correct, "You know my name.," he said, in disbelief, I found it so cute I giggled." Of course, I do, you sit in the back right of 7 period?" I responded. this girl in the group came up to me and whispered something in my ear."Dia, Don't be talking to these Aliens," She whispered in my ear. I looked a Junn who was watching us both and probably heard the racist remark she just said. I gave her a 'Are you serious' look from how disrespectful she was acting. Shes racist towards anyone who wasn't born in the U.S., it's stupid she acts like a Beverly hill barbies but is Latina like me I only hang out with her. I turn my gaze back to Junn feeling embarrassed about how rude my 'Friend' being to this nice looking kid just because of this background

"Anyways, you were saying," I asked, he gave me a surprised look right then and there, his face lit up as if I gave him a new car. I smiled. "Um, yeah-h. I wanted to know if... I think you heard about the Spring Fling Dance is tonight and..." he paused facing the floor for a moment as he fixed his bag upon his shoulder."If...Uh...You don't have a date, maybe, want to go with me?" he asked so awkwardly cute. I didn't plan on going but it takes guts to ask someone out and I found him cute so I said what sounded right. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked..", "Sure," I said with a smile he looked "-wait.. what did you say?" he said processing what I said and gave a shocked look, I don't know why he was? "I'll go with you. let me give my number" he nodded and quickly taking out his phone. Once he had it out, we exchanged numbers I looked up from my phone "be there by 5:50" I said smiling "Okay, thank you so much, You won't regret it, I promise!" he happily said before walking off happily. " I thought you weren't going?," Your friend asked smiling and you began walking with them out to the school gates." Out of all the guys you say yes to an Alien - not from here" my 'Friend' protested, "You know I'm not stupid I know why I said yes-," you said out loud, pausing." look- I think he's cute and I have a feeling about him, I gotta go see you guys later, okay?" I said tellin them off getting into my car waved goodbye then drove off.

I smiled to myself thinking of Junn. I don't know why I said yes to someone I bearly know, but when I looked at him and I saw something in him, he's different there's just something about him that just made me drawn to him. I guess I'll find out tonight. I have so many thoughts running through my head, "what am I going to wear", "what's the theme?", and "will I look good".

It was finally time. I was dressed and ready to go. I wore a yellow short bottom puffed dress that perfectly fit my body and heels to make me look taller than 5'1. I smiled at myself looking in the mirror thinking how good I looked. I never imagined myself going to this type of school event., "damn, I look this good in only 30 minutes" I smiled posing in the mirror until I heard my phone go off, it was Junn. he texted saying in 'almost there', a knock on the door made me lookup in the general direction, "Come in", I say softly raising my voice it was my mother she was staring at me. Her eyes were wide open and a look that made me feel as if she was criticizing my dress, "Do I look bad? Should I change?is my make up smudged?" I continued to say anything I could think of why she wouldn't like it until she put her hand on my cheek, "You look beautiful", her voice was just above a whisper and I could understand she was trying hard not to cry. I smiled at her warmly and let yourself drown in her hug. I pulled away and she sniffed.  "A very good looking young man in waiting downstairs for you", she said dramatically and I rolled my eyes, "Hey, that's my date, mama," I say while walking down the stairs being greeted by Junn.

As soon as he saw me he smiled greeted me with a hug and whispered in my ear "You look beautiful", letting go of me I couldn't help but blush and let my eyes wander over his clothes and blushed harder. My mother took photos and my father lechered both of us telling us 'not to do anything more than hold hands'.Junn looked at me and I said, "shouldn't we get going?" he looks at me then my parents as if asking if he could leave. my father nodded his head and we were on our way.

once we got there we just had fun we partied we ain't saying a little bit then he took me into the hallway and then he looked at me and said "okay I'm having the best day like right now" I followed back with "I'm having the best day, too," then he looked at me and said, " you know ever since the first day of school I had a thing for you"  " that's good because I have a thing for you, too" he giggled looked at me wit his trusting eyes and just kissed me and then I started kissing back and I was like 'oh my God and my head I was like oh my God, oh my God his guy is exchanging saliva with me'. When we were done he started smiling at each other I was blushing and went back to the party like it never happened.
