Light

When Jake opened his eyes after a long dark night he finally saw the light after a verry hard time he had yesterday , the first thing he did is to check the clock on his phone but instead he saw a picture of his girlfriend which brings back memories from last night , she destroyed his life in less than an hour when she left him on the theatre in front of everyone the thing that coast him his job after he worked really hard to got , he went to the bathroom to prepare a shower but he there is no water so he decided to make breakfast fastly before start searching for a new job and once again he found no food , at a moment he remembered how miserable he is , he turned the TV on while he was dressing to buy some food but he stopped everything and sat chocked on the couch when he heard the news while the reporter was warning citizens to stay at home away from a massive storm coming around the whole world and the last thing he heard before the electricity goes out was the reporter words

" Stay at home ... I repeat this is dangerous don't go out at any circumstances ..." And then every eclectic device went off even Jake's phone , he sat there on the couch thinking over and over again of how he would stay at home without any food or water for god knows how much days ... he was thinking of a solution when a massive hard voice coming from an unknown source hits hard as it was going to blow Jake's ears as it did to the windows of all the houses , his ears were bleeding while he was crying from the pain and screaming without hearing himself , and finally after five minutes of hearing hell the voice stopped leaving everyone confused as Jake was hardly trying to stand and when he finally did he stomped a big peice of glass coming from his broken window , blood was covering the living room while he was sitting out of his apartment crying and praying God to stay alive , he finally restarted to hear a bit when he heard footsteps coming for him and when he turned his head he saw the old man nextdoor offering him help , they went to his car and there it was completely destroyed which leads the old man crazy while Jake were pointing to an opened car , they entered the car and the old man started driving as fast as he can while everyone was running on streets full of blood , after Jake woke up he realised that he wasn't having a nightmare and then the old man looked at him and said

" Tom ... my name is Tom " , Jake whispered slowly " my name is Jake .. he followed his words ... I'm an actor .. i mean I was " Tom looked at the mirror while he was saying " I used to be a cop ... i quote when my wife died because of my job " then he looked at Jake and said " so .. what do you think about that .... They are saying that is the apocalypse" Jake replied sadly .. " I had mine yesterday ", Tom smiled then gave him a bottle of water , and while poor Jake were drinking water slowly a woman showed in front of the car she was bleeding from her belly and her arm was broken Tom was thinking what to do when they felt the ground moving Tom started driving faster and looking behind while Jake was complaining about why he left the woman alone saying angry " are you mad she could die out there .." Tom replied with anger " at moments like that Everyman is for himself ... we are all going to die ... It's just a matter of time .." and suddenly an earthquake started .

Tom was chocked as he never saw or heard of an earthquake like that , Jake became very anxious when he saw the ground disappearing behind them and in a second the car flipped upside down and while Tom was helping Jake getting out of the car the earthquake suddenly stopped , Jake was sitting on the ground chocked while Tom was looking carefully at the sky as he was looking for something and suddenly he turned afraid at Jake screaming

" Ruuuuun !!!" Jake stands fastly when he saw a geant tsunami coming from everywhere destroying everything on it way even the massive trees , Tom was fighting hard for his life when the water dragged him down but he suddenly stopped and smilled emotionally when he saw his dead wife he stopped fighting to live , he discovered that his real life is with her and this time it will be on another better place , everything turned blue you can only see ocean as long as an eye can see while Jake started to lose hope down there as the same way his old neighbor did , he closed his eye and left the air out for the last time and while he was prepared to die he heard a loud voice and this time it's not coming from an unknown source this time it's coming from the rescue helicopter , Jake realised that he wanted another chance while he was swimming up fastly when the helicopter were going far , Jake finally smelled a fresh air and screamed as loud as he can " I'm aliiiiiiive !! I'm heeeere " the helicopter didn't turned back which made Jake thinking of the looser life he lived , when he was a kid he dreamed to be a first class actor but what he got is a theatre secondary actor who lost his job when his girlfriend slapped him in a middle of a play , when he completely lost hope the sound came back when a soldier thaught that he heard a voice , the soldiers took Jake on the helicopter and gave him a hot drink and a blanket and while the helicopter were flying on the sky away he looked at the water and smiled with a sad face realising that he finally saw the light
