Infantile

  “I told you not to do anything stupid this weekend, but no don’t listen to me God I told you so many times but you decide not to listen!” I screamed at my best friend when we were hanging out in the school library. We are not supposed to be loud but God she really gets on my nerves. The Liberian gave me a dirty look like she was mad at me and okay I was being loud and I am in a library but I have stuff going on okay. I am a 16 year old girl in high school and it gets kind of dramatic here and there.

“Okay you are my best friend and you are supposed to have my back, but no you have to just scream at me just for getting drunk and going to the police station, can’t you ever be on my side.” My best friend said to me right after I literally screamed at her in the library.

“I am protecting you, I’m protecting you from your own stupidness. So don’t say that I am not trying to protect you because I do not think you would live another day without me protecting you okay, so you are not allowed to say that I am not protecting you because I am protecting you more than you think that I am okay. Okay so do you finally understand!” right then the liberian came up to me and dragged me and my best friend Roseland out of the library. Okay I finally admit that we were being really loud. I kind of feel bad now but like I said I have a lot of stuff going on okay.

“I’m sorry I know that you are trying your best to protect me. I am just being a little brat and I am so sorry I should have listened to you. But it was not one hundred percent my fault I listened to you, but then I decided to go to a small party with the football players and you know me I could not say no to hot football players, so come on cut me some slack okay. Please?” I truly do not know if that was real or if she just made that up but whatever I guess that I will go with it and probably later I will figure out the truth about this.

We got back to our High School dorms and we were still mad at each other so I went out to get some fresh air when I saw my crush (I have had a huge crush on him for some time now my last boyfriend cheated on me and I went into a deep depression and then I met him the first time that I laid my eyes on him I knew he was the one) I walked right up to him and I asked if I could walk with him and he said that I could so I did because like why not he was my big time crush anyways so how could I stop myself.

“So what have you been doing lately?” he asked me that and to tell the truth I did not know how to answer that simple question right at that moment.

Then I said, “Stopping my Best friend Roseland from getting herself in a lot of trouble and getting herself heart or killed so that is what I have been doing lately.”

“Well are you going to have to protect her tonight because I would like to take you out if that is possible.

My crush Jake Armstrong just asked me out, not anyone else me Harper Quinn the head cheerleader OMG I am so happy. “No I Don’t think that I am going to be busy tonight protecting my best friend, so yes I will go with you.”

“Okay so is tonight at 6:00 o’clock fine? Because I am guessing that is when your cheerleading practice ends because that is when football practice ends.” he was right which is kind of normal because we do see each other every day at practice.

“Yes, that is when I get out of practice. Well I will meet you on the football field at 6:00 o’clock then, so see you then.” right now it is 12:00 and I have to get to my afternoon classes.

So after I finished all of my afternoon classes I finally had cheerleading practice and Jake had his everyday football practice. When I got there he was already there and he was staring at me the whole time I was doing practice. It was kind of funny. After practice was over I ran over to him and jumped into his arms okay I know that today is our first date but this is normal for cheerleader to do and he was ready for me to jump into his arms and when I did he kissed me and everyone was watching even my ex Jace it was so fun. After everyone left me and him were going to sneak into the library and hide there all night.

In the morning I woke up before him and I noticed that I was laying right on top of him. Thank goodness we still had our close on. I woke him up and told him that we have to leave, then we did and when we got to my dorm and Roseland was waiting one my bed.

“Harper so you yell at me for getting a little drunk and going to the police station and here you are with the Quarterback and you passed curfew and probably slept with him.” I could tell that she was really mad so I decided to explain.

“Me and Jake decided to go on a date and no we did not sleep together the way that I know that you are thinking but you are wrong.”she really needs to mind her own business.

“Do you girls want me to leave because I can.” Jake really did not want to be in the middle of this but I told him that he can stay and that we were going to go to class together. Roseland truly did not like that idea so she asked if she could tag but I said that it was just going to be me and Jake and she was so mad at me after that.

When I got to the Library I noticed some of my belongings on the Librarians front desk and she wanted to talk to me but you want to know what I did. I grabbed all of my stuff and she said that she had to talk to me in her office and I said “Hell NO!” then she screamed at me, “NO SCREAMING IN THE LIBRARY MISS!!” and she just broke her most important rule.
