Music On The Train

We were on the train, I was looking outside the window, watching the blurry of greenery pass us by.

I sat next to him, and he was leaning on my shoulder, asleep.

I looked around at the other people on the train, and saw normal people. No one stood out more than the others.

I looked over at him, and noticed he still had his earphones in.

I followed the cord to his phone, and checked what song it was.

It was "y r u afraid of me" from luvwillow and skypebf.

A really good song that I loved.

I smiled. It was his usual playlist.

A little over thirty songs of his favorite EDM artists.

I turned back to the window, watching the greenery fade into the ocean. The water glistened in the sunlight.

I felt him shift, and sit up.

"Awake at last," I said, turning to him.

"Yeah," he said, rubbing his eyes. "How long was I out?"

"Like a quarter hour," I said. "How much did you even sleep last night?"

"Like three hours?" he said, in the form of a question.

He checked his phone for the song, and "y r u afraid of me" changed to "ecstasy (remix)" from SUICIDAL-IDOL, 6arelyhuman, and syris.

“Wanna listen?” he asked, offering the left side earbud. 

“Sure,” I said, taking it. 

We listened to the rest of ecstasy, and then “even if it’s fake” from xofilo and luvwillow. 

I could hear him humming the lyrics under his breath, and I followed along in my head.

I loved his playlists more than mine.

After even if it’s fake, it was “EVA EVA” from vanity, m1v, and luvwillow. 

That was my all-time favorite song on this playlist. I knew the lyrics by heart, well, not really luvwillow’s part though.

I loved luvwillow as much as he did, but it was still a bit hard for me to understand what they were saying.

After EVA EVA it was “daydreaming” from Rebzyyx and horrormovies.

After daydreaming it was “She With Me” from SUICIDAL-IDOL and skypebf.

That was my second favorite, always on loop whenever I was writing any stories or drawing any of my favorite characters.

After She With Me it was “cutting” from horrormovies and maxo xoxo. 

That song was in between second and first favorite. I loved it so much, I was obsessed with it for months. It was always on loop, always on, almost twenty-four seven.

He and I even sang it together once. 

I was horrormovies, and he was maxo xoxo. 

I sang more than him, but we sang the bridge and chorus after it in sync.

After cutting, it was “turn it up” from skypebf, FabFanstasy, and 6arelyhuman.

I just pulled up in a two-seater and we can go together”

After turn it up, it was “all I want is you” from Rebzyyx and hoshie star.

Right as it ended, the train came to a stop at the station. 

After getting our bags, and finding our way through a crowd of people, we finally emerged from the station. 

“Mikey, you should call her,” I said. 

“Good idea,” he said, grabbing his phone. 

He called Myli, and she answered pretty quickly.

“Oh, ok,” Mikey said, and he hung up. 

“She’s exiting the highway, and will get here in a couple minutes,” he said. 

“Okay,” I said.

After a while, she arrived and parked in front of us, getting out of the car and congratulating us on our engagement.

“I knew you two would end up together,” she said. “Back in highschool, Lila and I would sing, ‘Mikey and Alex, sitting in a tree, K-I-”

“Yeah, we heard you two each time,” Mikey said. 

“That was our intention,” she said. “Now get in the car so we can go see her. You guys moved to Nevada, and she broke her leg, we have to go see her.”

“Yeah, let’s go,” I said.

“Yeah,” Mikey said. 

And off we were.
