My bio is a mixed bag of experiences, professions, and interests. I was a newspaper reporter and columnist who spent an astonishingly long time writing stories I never attempted to publish. At various points—but not all at once—I was a teacher, lacrosse coach, member of a bomb squad, and on a realty TV show that no one saw. Now, on most days, I am a freelance writer, designer, and marketing strategist.
