    It was very early one summer day when Sniffy Johnskit entered Mr. Mouser’s convenience store on the corner of Calico and Hunter. The sun glaring through the windows cast an eerie stripe design of black and yellow on the worn tile. Behind the counter stood Mr. Mouser, a short, round cat, his fur grayed with age, but in a dark corner of the deli sat a strange tomcat Sniffy did not recognize. He wore a long black coat and a hat falling over his eyes. Eyeing him with slit pupils, she approached the counter.  ...

Author bio

Rebecca Smith is a young author who grew up on the island of Barbados. She has self-published Heroes of Levea, a fantasy novel about how five youths save their world from a kingdom of giants. When she is not writing or editing the sequel to her first novel, she is drawing stick figure comics about a teenage boy Evan Thin or painting portraits of animals or the beautiful Barbados scenery.
