Author bio

Hi everybody! My name is Meggy and I am a high schooler in New Jersey. I love to write and I joined this group for the prompts and the feedback. Right now I'm working on a novel (but am really lacking the self-discipline to finish it) so I take breaks by writing short stories. I really appreciate any comments at all! :) I have two series: -Sherwood Affairs: The Sherwood High School class of 2009 is notorious for witnessing (and gossiping about) an affair between two members of the faculty. When it's time for a 10-year class reunion, they're mostly determined to bring the scandal back. -Cracked Cases: Abigail Hartford is New York City's best detective, but despite what she tells the news, she hasn't solved a single case. My favorite words (I'll post a new one each week): -ordain -blasphemy -Psychology -cornucopia -vote -meander -climate -sweater -debauchery -clandestine -ethereal -enthalpy -holiday My Favorite Books By (U.S.) Grade: -Pre-K-3/3-years-old: Each Peach Pear Plum by Allan and Janet Ahlberg -Pre-K/4-years-old: Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey -Kindergarten/5-years-old: Junie B. Jones series by Barbara Park -1st Grade/6-years-old: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis -2nd Grade/7-years-old: Ramona Quimby series by Beverly Cleary -3rd Grade/8-years-old: Matilda by Roald Dahl -4th Grade/9-years-old: Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library by Chris Grabenstein -5th Grade/10-years-old: The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart -6th Grade/11-years-old: Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery -7th Grade/12-years-old: The Giver by Lois Lowry -8th Grade/13-years-old: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott -9th Grade/14-years-old: The Crucible by Arthur Miller -10th Grade/15-years-old: To Be Updated Soon! For the record I intend nothing political with this! These are just books that I liked at different points in my life. I hope you can find something nice to read from it :) I was going to write a list of amazing authors but everybody here is so wonderful, I really can't fit you all! Fun fact: my aunt wanted to name me Anita, but Anita House sounds a bit too close to somebody looking really hard for real estate. I don't know about you but I find that quite funny!
