So this was it? Three months, hundreds of cups of coffee, thousands of nibbled fingernails, many skipped meals and missed convivial chats with friends later, this was the result? I am Kate MacDonald, a septuagenarian insomniac who is grateful for the extra time to play. Mostly I dabble in buying junk and selling “Antiques” online but writing is my quiet pursuit. It's ideal when those around me are asleep. I embrace and enjoy many styles of fiction but writing poetry is my passion. I can't help but smile when the poem flows and almost writes itself. The big danger for me is when I write a line I really like but the rhyme for it is not there. I will contort the sentence in an attempt to make it work, knowing that it won't. Still, I'm loathed to pass it by. Having written it I am sure no other line will do. Luckily I also have lots of other hobbies. They include Macramé (Knotty) and making String n Pin pictures (Painful)
