Hello, Reedsy Writers! I am a freshman in college, and I am here because I LOVED to write in high school (and well before), and though I have found myself lacking in time and inspiration as a college student, I missed this creative outlet too much and knew I wanted to try to get back in the groove. I have privately written a fair amount of (pretty bad) poetry and short stories (first person dystopian/YA kind of stuff seems to be my jam), placed in a few small writing contests, been an active member of my high school's Newspaper/Muse Club, and run a social media page for a local non-profit. I have never really formally pursued writing, so I have a LOT of learning and refining to do, which is why I would absolutely love and appreciate any commentary, questions, or feedback anyone has for me. Things are a little crazy right now so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get more stories on here, but as of now I've submitted my first ever Reedsy Contest entry and (though I've been constantly mulling over all the changes I wish I'd made before submitting this week) I'm very excited to join the community! :-)
