There it was. The scent I would never in my lifetime forget. It was perfect, and it made my mouth water. Though it was all around me, I couldn’t pinpoint where exactly it was coming from. I checked my watch for the tenth time in only an hour. With a heavy sigh, I placed my chin in my hand and gazed out the window of the cozy cafe booth I had nestled into. The snow was beginning to fall with a vengeance, as though it had some sort of grudge against us New Yorkers. Though the snow plows were out on the roads, doing the best they could to keep them clear, their efforts didn't appear to be doing much good.
