I've wanted to be a writer since before I could write, I used to get my mom to staple papers together in book form for me and I'd fill them with E's, the only letter I knew back then. If I'd known how hard writing is, I wonder if I would have picked something else. Now I'm 55 and still a beginner after having spent a lot of time just surviving. I have won two small contests, but not here, the writers at Reedsy are plentiful and full of talent.
