I was born and raised in the deep south. My father was a small town defense attorney who has cases on the books that set precedents in mental health law. My Mother was an actress who performed in all the local Little Theatre productions. My parents divorced when I was twelve. My Dad became alcoholic and died at 68. My Mom became a District Manager for Avon and died at 89. My older sister became a psychiatric social worker and lives with her family in Hawaii. My younger brother became a real estate attorney and died at sixty-four two years ago. I was devastated. I completed degrees in Political Science and English. I became a marketing professional and travelled internationally in my work. I am divorced with one son and one granddaughter. I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. I was deeply affected by inequality in Alabama when I was growing up. I am a bit of a feminist, being terrified and outraged by the treatment of women around the world. I enjoy song writing and photography. I am fascinated by the study of power and how it is acquired and how it is lost, and conflict and the study of peace making. My future educational pursuits will be in conflict analysis and resolution.
