It began one summer day. One of those annoying black flies somehow found its way I soy the house. It was a super humid sunny day. 40 degrees C and humidity pushing it to 42 degrees C We just arrived home from doing the usual grocery shopping for the week. Somewhere; I don’t know when, a big black hairy fly found it’s way to cool shady paradise. Maybe flying for hours on its way to unknown territory, the exhausted fly needed a break; out tv. Being black, we didn’t noticed until late we turned on the tv. Officially, we had an i...

I’m 53 now. I’m either half up the hill or down the hill, where the top is 100.Many will say I’m a crying baby for what you are about to read. Behind everyone there’s a story of survival, a story of adaptation and aceptante?I’m a normal human being, I believe in equality. We all deserve to be treated equally regardless of their sexuality, background or skin color.Life taught me that planning ahead never helps, at least in my case. For me the more I planned for something, the less chances for me to not happen were higher. It was li...

First Christmas with no snow. Gotta blame it to Climate change, or maybe I got used to the cold winters here. The ‘white Christmas’ wasn’t white this time! A horror for many. Not for me. Fortunately for me it was perfect. Cold as usual. No snow. Minus the usual greenery, all looked grey. Pine trees were the only ones endured enough to accept the low temperatures, sleet and freezing rain. Still standing and holding its leaves. The sun up in the sky was super bright, easily playing tricks on us, reminiscent of the wonderful warm summer da...
Today, the beeping of my phone woke me up. It was a different beeping. One I have not heard in quite a long time. I grabbed my phone to check. To my surprise I found a message from a long time friend. We grew up almost together. She could have been easy the sister I never had, and always wondered. We met in middle school. Anna and were the same age, we could’ve been twins from a different mother. Both families grew up together. I remember back in the day going together to our classmate’s birthday parties together. Their families trusted each...
There’s no specific age for going back to school. Nowadays age is irrelevant, the fact is that you will draw all the looks from the younger generations. It will also be really interesting to show the younger that learning does stop until you die. That’s my mojo. And I will continue saying that now, at this moment. The latest pandemic has brought up online training more affordable, but the lack on human interaction, the eye contact and the hand shake or the quick stolen hug is by far, far away from happening. It was like when back in the day ...

🔅🔆🔅 It’s the most wonderful time of the year! For some is magical, with a beautiful white snow covered surroundings, where the wind stops and birds sing, where reindeers graced in the deep green coloured grass, the sun brights like a diamond and the clouds at the fluffiest point and bouncy, yes, I’m talking about Christmas season. This is a time for forgiveness and love and caring and sharing. Hate is forbidden here. Brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, daughters, sons, nieces, nephews, the lonely neighbour next door, all become one ...

I always thought that people with powers were special. Not on my list. I’m just getting out my teens into becoming a woman, another human being fighting for a survival in a surreal world. The fist chapter is completed. Went to school, did ny homework, listened to mom and dad, they were proud of me. Was not into drugs, was not a recruit for gangs out in the street. I stayed home, at dawn, when school activities ended, went home, either to finish my homework or preparing for a test. Nope, I was not a nerd. No way, NOT on this life. I fel...
The warm breeze brushes the tall California Grass and a flock of seagulls gracefully fly by, guided by the sudden change of weather. The last solar eclipse made the seagulls hesitate about starting their migration south at the beginning of fall. They pretty much predicted the absence of food by calling the others in their flock with their screeching chilling calling while challenging the others for territory. Their heads lowering crouched up and down, like yelling at someone-their ‘mewing’ was not as often as before. Maybe the neighbours cat...

✍️REEDSY 🔆🔅 The sound of a passing car and the screeching sound of tires called my attention. Maybe another crazy speedy driver street racing down to the beach walk. It’s sunny and many sunbathers are congregating down at the beach. An everyday scene for sunny beach days down Marbella Beach. Couldn’t take the opportunity to join all these exhilarating feelings that everyone’s getting when going to Daytona Bech, the smell the burning tires and the sounds of pneumatic drill unscrewing bolts to take out and put back and exchange tir...
The alarm clock wakes me up. Soon after the ringing fades in the silence that refuses to remind us that the time to the start The whistling wind hits my window and the leaves dance in a circular pattern. The birds don’t Sing anymore - it’s a bit dark. The sun hasn’t raised up yet. My day at work, my second home, starts in a hour. I stepped into the cold almost slippery but tub floor, and took a quick shower. The cold water wakes me up to a point that the nails on my hand turned into a pale purpleish color. I gotta be quick, otherwise I...

I have learned that happiness is in everything, anything. That might sound stupid, silly, cheesy. My train of thoughts is interrupted.... I woke up to an unfamiliar sound.... beeping sound? Rolling carts? Amusement park? NOPE. Going back to what happened it’s still hard for me. Recollection of what happened from the time I got really sick until I woke up in hospital bed is still a mystery to me. After a lost year. My last though was going to the doctor because of a lingering pain in my back. It hurt to breathe. A muscle spasm? Mayb...
