It began one summer day. One of those annoying black flies somehow found its way I soy the house. It was a super humid sunny day. 40 degrees C and humidity pushing it to 42 degrees C We just arrived home from doing the usual grocery shopping for the week. First Christmas with no snow. Gotta blame it to Climate change, or maybe I got used to the cold winters here. The ‘white Christmas’ wasn’t white this time! A horror for many. Not for me. There’s no specific age for going back to school. Nowadays age is irrelevant, the fact is that you will draw all the looks from the younger generations. I always thought that people with powers were special. Not on my list. I’m just getting out my teens into becoming a woman, another human being fighting for a survival in a surreal world. The fist chapter is completed. Went to school, did ny homework, listened to mom and dad, they were proud of me. Was not into drugs, was not a recruit for gangs out in the street. The warm breeze brushes the tall California Grass and a flock of seagulls gracefully fly by, guided by the sudden change of weather. The last solar eclipse made the seagulls hesitate about starting their migration south at the beginning of fall. I have learned that happiness is in everything, anything. That might sound stupid, silly, cheesy. My train of thoughts is interrupted.... I woke up to an unfamiliar sound.... beeping sound?
