Day 1 - Hourglass Body Workout Challenge
Today I woke up early, at 4 a.m. to be exact and did the first good habit of the day: making my bed.
With the pillows fluffed up, the bed-sheets straightened and the covers all set up.
I went to the bathroom and took a refreshing, morning shower.
After that, I dressed in yoga wear, brown lululemon leggings and a tight black shirt.
Unrolled my yoga mat and did yoga, with Youtube, of course, for an hour.
With all my muscles stretched out, I tidied up all the yoga gear and switched into the day's clothes, straw-coloured, wide-legged pants, a plain black tee, and a sage-white checkered scrunchie as the only accessory. My black, lustrous hair was let down in wavy curls.
I was ready to start the day with my second workout: a morning run.
The air outside was breezy and not too cold. I ran five miles that morning.
My breath came in short gasps as I entered my house, took off my running shoes, and started for the kitchen to make breakfast, for my stomach was positively growling now.
For the rest of the day, I made a presentation for school, did some homework, watched a movie, tried out a new recipe, read a few chapters of Percy Jackson, ate out for dinner with a couple of friends and went stepped into my house at exactly 8:27.
I'm now ending today's chapter and gonna head to bed straight after I finish. God, I'm sleepy now, goodnight and au revoir.
Day 2 - Hourglass Body Workout Challenge
This morning I woke up freezing. When I checked the current temperature, it was 21 degrees.
Damn, it's not often we wake up to cold weather in Florida, hottest place on Earth, as people say.
I didn't do yoga today, but did 20 Russian twists, 15 lunges, a 2-minute plank, 12 sit-ups, and lastly, 20 push-ups.
After that, I changed out of my pyjamas and into Nike black sweatpants, a plain back tee and on top of that a Slytherin hoodie, and wore a silver, charm bracelet, I bought at the dollar store, to match the Slytherin vibes.
For breakfast, I had a healthy meal of sliced avocado on buttered, toasted bread, finished off with a sprinkle of black sesame seeds. I had a light coffee with creamer and brown sugar along with a dessert of yogurt topped with strawberries.
I had a pleasant day filled with work, friends, lessons, and a Zoom call with my German friend, Maude.
My eyes are droopy with sleep now so goodnight and au revoir.
Day 15 - Hourglass Body Workout Challenge
Woke up late, 6 a.m. and headed straight to the gym.
I could finally lift the five kg weights and I'm so proud.
Ran about fifteen miles on a treadmill at 30/mph. God, it was hard.
I also did some back and front flips, cross hand-stands, forward rolls, split jumps, cartwheels on the mattresses and had fun jumping up and down on the trampoline. I almost touched the ceiling and brushed it a little on what I felt like was the highest jump of my life. The ceiling was a bit low though, so I think none of you would think it was such a feat as it is in my opinion.
Went home and had a warm breakfast of oats topped with banana and a sprinkle of chocolate chips. A glass of milk for protein.
After that, I took a shower and had a call with one of my practice, business clients for I took a business major in college.
Sorry this was short but I'm so sleepy so goodnight and au revoir.
Day 30 - Hourglass Body Workout Challenge
Wow, I am very happy with the result of this 30 day workout challenge. I now officially have an hourglass body and my friends congratulated me upon it.
I love my new body and I wish to be even more fit from now on.
I didn't have a single regret for doing this challenge and I'll be glad to take more challenges like this one in the future.
Thank you, to all my friends, for cheering me on and encouraging me to wake up early each day by taking turns to wake me up by a phone call. They're so sweet.
Thank you, to my family, who always sent me fruit and vegetable parcels along with protein powders and bars because they think I'm on a diet, not on a workout challenge. Never mind, it was all good and funny.
Thank you to everyone who congratulated me for my new body and not jeer at me for it. For some stupid reason, there are some people who dislike, even hate, skinny people, probably because they're just jealous, though.
Thank you Youtube, for making me envy those pretty girls' waists and bodies, and motivate me into doing this challenge. I had a lot of doubts about it at first, but now I have no regrets and glad I didn't stop halfway like most of my friends do.
I am happy, but I'm not at all satisfied. I've reached the stars, now I'm going to jump to the moon, and after that, Mars and so on.
I wrote a little poem about never giving up and here's how it goes:
The Triumph of Perseverance
Amidst the echoes of her pounding heart,
She steps into the gym, a challenge to start.
The weights, the treadmill, and the barbell,
A testament to her courage, her will to excel.
Her eyes are set on the goal,
A challenge she’s chosen to control.
With each rep, each step, each sweat-drenched stride,
She digs deep, her spirit cannot hide.
The clock ticks on, the minutes drag,
Her resolve, her strength, they seem to flag.
The thought of giving in, of throwing the towel,
Is a whisper, a temptation, a shadow.
But in her heart, a spark refuses to die,
A voice that whispers, “You can, you will, try.”
She takes a breath, she pushes through,
For the girl in the mirror, she has something to prove.
And so, she lifts, she runs, she pushes, she strives,
Her body, her spirit, they start to thrive.
The challenge, once daunting, now feels light,
As she realises her strength, her might.
The people around her, they notice her change,
Their smiles, their cheers, they fuel her range.
She looks in the mirror, her body, her soul,
And she knows, she’s conquered her goal.
She stands tall, her head held high,
A beacon of pride, her eyes aglow.
Her body, a testament to her will,
A story of triumph, a tale to instill.
The challenge, once a mountain to climb,
Now a memory, a stepping stone in time.
She looks back at the journey, the sweat, the tears,
And she knows, she’s come out a winner, a conqueror, a peer.
The people around her, they clap and they cheer,
For the girl who almost gave up, but never disappeared.
They’re happy for her, they’re proud of her too,
A shining example, a hero in their eyes, brand new.
Her story, a beacon of hope and light,
A reminder that perseverance is always right.
That no challenge is too great to conquer,
That the human spirit, it always surges.
Her journey, a testament to the power of will,
A story that will inspire, a tale to fulfill.
She’s shown that with determination and grit,
We can all overcome, we can all be fit.
So, here’s to the girl who faced her challenge with grace,
Who didn’t give up, who didn’t lose her pace.
She’s a shining example, a hero in our midst,
A symbol of strength, a beacon of wisdom, a bliss.
Thank you.
Goodnight and au revoir.
