Science Fiction Drama

Agapito Reynolds looked at the gloves in his hands and felt anger. He walked over to the window and reflected on his surroundings inside this abandoned building. He had always loved Bright Secrybo city with its skyline, expansive growth, and the life through out it. But his anger boiled still, the last few weeks, why he was here in this building, the actions Agapito had taken up till now, thought about these made him made it worse. He asked himself “why was am I here? I know it is a trap. Emilio was right (Dang that is weird) Nash is just goating him.” Even then he answered it for himself, “I caused this. If I can fix this, I must for my friends, my team, and- and my lost friend, for Nash, the Nash Chaney he knew.” He looked back at his past, his childhood, everything that lead him to right here:

Agapito grow up in during the height of the heroes age. By the age of two (a full six years before most) his powers had appeared, he could his body on fire at will and was completely fire prof. He was always the best, the leader and right next to him every sec of everyday was Nash Chaney. Both had the same dream to be heroes and they planed to do it together, take the test, then go straight to the top. When they were little they dress up and play save the day. They even made their own hero outfits and gave each other hero names. The two did everything together, neither one without the other until high school, Nash never got powers (one in every twenty-five million are born without powers). Kids can be cruel. How could someone with no power be a hero.

While Nash was ostracized, Agapito was the big man on campus the best in the grade everyone know who he was and that right were he was going. Even though Nash was the straight target for basic everyone in the school no one messed with him when Agapito was there but caught anyone he protected his friend. He did not care that Nash did not have powers, Nash was brilliant in every other way. Nash not being a hero is a waste of his genuines in Agapitos’s opinion, Nash is a great strategist, inventor, and detective. Agapito had enough powers for both of them. After graduation the two of them would go straight to the hero test, get into the S class rank, be the best hero duo to ever exists. That was still the plan, Agapito would be the strong one and the Nash would be the smart one.

Until after a massive villain attack on their school. Lot of people got hurt and some even died. Nash ran straight into the line of the fight to help, nearly getting himself killed. The plan became to real after that. Agapito was used to protecting his best friend how could he standby and let his best friend become a hero when he cannot fight on equal grounded with most of the villains. He told Nash how he felt about the plan. The two had a fight both said things that they both regret and they never made up. Agapito stopped stepping in when Nash was in trouble and Nash started avoiding Agapito.

After graduation Agapito signed up for the hero test. On the day of the capability interview that was the last day he saw Nash (before he disappeared). After word Nash had catch up to Agapito:

“Feno,” Nash called run up to him.

Hearing his choose for his hero nickname caught Agapito off guard, he turned and his heart dropped seeing the papers in Nash’s hand, “Nash, long time no-”

“I got denied, I can’t take the tests,” Nash cut straight to the point showing the paper with a big red Denied stamp.

“I don’t know what to say,” Agapito look away from Nash, he had mixed feeling it. Yes he was glad Nash would not be right in the line of danger, but he had still been holding on to the idea that the two of them could be the great heroes together. He look at his own paper with a big green Accepted stamp. He made up his mind, “Well what did you expect. You have no powers villains do or something that can-”

“If you think I went out of my way to talk to you just to show you the result you are far off,” Nash cut him off again. “I want you understand this heroes can’t just be powerful, that’s something that I wanted to tell you for a while now but never did. Feno, you are strong and power but being a hero mean a lot more then that.”

“What are you talking about, being strong is what saves people. We’ve seen this,” Agapito throws back.

“That is going to get you killed.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Your mentality that you can burn and punch your way out of any problem. How can you save people if that is your only plan is just hit the problem until it stops?” Nash started walking away. “Feno you will learn that lesson at some point that one way or another. See you.”

He did not know what Nash ment until the practical hero test. Agapito nearly failed it without the people he meet during it his team. It was an upward battle for him to drop his pride and be a better leader. In the mean time the villain syndicate stepped out of the shadows and started growing in power putting the entier world back into a state of fear unlike anything seen for over century. His team stepped up as a result even fighting the some of the core members the syndicate. Every time they fought the villian it seemed they were several steps ahead of them a and every time they win something a part of the bigger evil plan falls into place. There was a hidden master planer moving the piece for the head of this villainy outbreak, Shadow Ace.

Up until two weeks ago no one knew his true identity, when Agapito and his team were caught in a trap set by Shadow Ace himself. Were it was revealed that Nash was Shadow Ace. This had come as a great shock to Agapito what could he do what should he do, his former best friend was with the syndicate and nearly killed his new friends, but why? Could Agapito hand over the name of someone he used to trust with his life? All he can do is hope he can save Nash.

“You came, Feno,” a cold voice called from behind him pulling him back to the current situation. Nash call him here for a one on one talk.

Agapito turns around to face him, “Lets get straight to chase, why did you call me here Nash?”

“Well, I think you finally saw my point-.”

“I’m sorry, Nash.”

“What?”

“I’m sorry that I did not think you should be a hero. I’m sorry I pushed you away. I’m sorry I didn’t see your point. And and and I’m sorry I can’t save you from falling into the syndicate.”

Nash just looked at him for a minute then spoke, “We both said and did thing we are not proud, but right now that is not important. Listen please this is the chance-”

*Kaboom*

The sounds of nearby explosions and fight caught the two off guard.

“Well then sorry Feno, I am sorry but we’re out of time.”
