UFO LANDS AT LOCAL SCHOOL
– And that’s official!
Hey, Aliens! Leave Them Kids Alone!
Inquirer Exclusive By Bryn Moore
STUDENTS at Cwmwenda High School had a spooky close encounter of the third kind yesterday when a UFO landed at the school and an "alien" emerged.
Shocked witnesses claimed that a metallic, disc-shaped craft, approximately twenty feet in diameter, touched down on the school’s rugby pitch just after 11 AM yesterday, when students were still on morning break.
Panic erupted when a tall, silver-suited being emerged from the craft, strode across the pitch, and stopped to take soil samples., The being then reportedly pointed a metal tube in a sweeping motion at the school’s Science Block and then returned to the craft.
Headteacher Edwin Jones told The Inquirer, "The first I heard of it was when students frantically burst into my office shouting about UFOs and aliens. I thought it was a prank and was about to reprimand them when staff arrived saying the same thing."
Mr. Jones, an ex-RAF radar operator, went to look and saw the object on the pitch. "At first glance, I wondered if it was a new type of helicopter or some kind of drone, but it looked nothing like any conventional aircraft, and it was too big for a drone."
He did not see the alleged alien being. "I heard the students talking about it, and judging by the state they were in, I’ve got no reason to disbelieve them."
Mr. Jones confirmed that he had directed staff to get students back inside the school. "I had no interest in the subject before and, frankly, thought it was far-fetched nonsense from watching too much Star Wars or Doctor Who. But after this, I’ve changed my mind."
History teacher, Eve Davies, who was in the schoolyard monitoring at the time of the incident, said, "It was chaos. Students began pointing, shouting, and running about. When I looked around, this flying saucer was hovering just above the goalposts, completely silent, with a strange green light pulsing around its base."
Year Nine student Dylan Mason (13) said he was terrified. "We didn’t see it coming. It just appeared. It was like something from a film, but real. It shimmered when it came down. Me and my friends thought it was a new kind of drone, but it was big. We wanted to go up to it, but then the alien came out. We ran off then. No way was I hanging around. I thought we might get zapped or abducted."
The UFO remained on the ground for another thirty minutes before it lifted off and moved towards Newport. It left no visible scorch marks or indentations on the soft ground.
Residents of nearby St. Cadoc’s Road said they knew that something was wrong when they heard students screaming.
Bryn Jenkins, whose garden backs onto the school grounds, said he didn’t see the object as he was taking a bath at the time, but he heard students reacting. "It wasn’t the usual noise from the school. We’re used to that; we normally don’t notice it. No, this was something different; they sounded terrified."
Police and a specialist team arrived soon after to evacuate the school and nearby homes.
The out-of-this-world incident has left school staff and authorities baffled. The school remains closed while authorities investigate. Students will continue with online lessons until the school receives the all-clear to reopen.
Air traffic controllers at National Air Traffic Services confirmed no regular flights or aircraft were in the airspace over Cwmwenda at the time of the incident.
South East Wales Police confirmed that an ongoing investigation is underway. The MOD refused to comment on the incident.
Owen Randall, chief investigator of The Wales Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Organisation Network (WUAPON), said this wasn’t the first incident of its kind.
Broadhaven in 1977, where a landing at a primary school sparked a series of bizarre events in West Wales known as The Welsh Triangle.
Another Gwent school in Pontybridge was visited by an unknown craft in 2010. Again, this incident was the first in a wave of cases in the area that sparked fears of alien invasion, paranoia and even a full-blown riot.
In October 1977, ten schoolchildren at Upton Primary School in Macclesfield, England, reported seeing a hovering, elliptical UFO, with their remarkably similar drawings later being included in a Ministry of Defence file.
In 1994, 62 schoolchildren in Ruwa, Zimbabwe, reported a mass UFO sighting and a telepathic encounter with alien beings, creating one of the most compelling and debated close encounters of the third kind.
In 1966, over two hundred students and teachers at Westall High School, Melbourne, Australia, witnessed a metallic, disc-shaped object descend into a field before military aircraft pursued it. Claims of a government cover-up followed.
Mr. Randall said the other cases bear remarkable similarities to the Cwmwenda landing. "It’s the same pattern each time. An unknown object turns up just at the right time to be seen. There’s definitely a pattern, perhaps even a planned series of operations."
But Mr. Randall admitted he doesn’t know what or why. "To speculate, the incidents could be rehearsals for further landings. We need to take this subject more seriously before things escalate."
He went on to call for a full and open investigation. "The public has a right to know. If these objects or craft can penetrate our airspace and land near schools, what else could happen? People need to feel safe and be assured that the authorities are protecting them."
Many questions remain about the Cwmwenda incident. Was it a secret military experimental aircraft? An advanced drone? An elaborate prank? Or something genuinely from beyond our world?
