This is a very new recipe for me. I have not put it to the test until now! Let’s look at why I chose to make this pie. Being a caregiver can be a struggle on a daily basis. I needed soothing ingredients to formulate the way I handle what is “dished” out towards me when caring for my loved one. Baking is a stress reliever for me, and I realized that creating this recipe is much like my weekly routine as a caregiver. I have found this to be a delicious dessert and hope you all do as well.

Caregivers Pie

Take a minute and close your eyes. Savor the looks and taste of the pie you are about to make. Realize that as simple as it may seem, there are always snafues with the fundamentals of our recipes and finished products. When creating “Your Caregiver Pie” ingredients might differentiate a bit. In the end, use what works for you! Everyone can add their own unique flavor and texture to create a Caregiver Pie that is tasty to them.                                                                                                 Finding and using the ingredients this recipe calls for may lead to an arduous activity because some of the ingredients are problematic to find. A few of the items may have been moved to the back of the shelf or off the shelf, just keep looking. Remember to use your specialty stores when need be! These businesses can add quite a bit to encourage the most favorable ingredients. Be sensitive to the collection of ingredients for your pie as the end results can be a disaster if not presented carefully. Gentleness will help in building our food.

Serves 1-4 people- The recipe can be doubled if more caregivers are sitting down at the table!

Cook Temp. 400 degrees

Let’s look at a few key steps. Sit down and scan the recipe method used in the recipe. Let’s remember that this procedure has been passed down through the generations! All pies are not created equal. Let’s take a fresh look at what we are setting out to accomplish.

*Hints;

*Many of these ingredients can be found in regular stores but sometimes the best ingredients can be found in an exclusive shops such as churches or local store, “The Arms of Friends”.

*A few bakers have used “whine” as an additive to their pie. However, most have complained this is not effective as it leaves the pie soggy which does not allow the ingredients to congeal.     *Some bakers who used frustration found this to create a very dry and tasteless pie, remember to leave this out of the mix as it doesn’t do a thing except upset the chef.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        *We did find that cracking a few timeless humor jokes into the dry ingredients really does add shimmer to the end results.

Making the crust: This is the easiest part and can really prepare you for the procedure in make your pie a success It’s not as hard as you think, it just takes some practice. We tend to overthink a project which irritates the chef. Eazy peazy lemon squezzy!

This is for one crust but as stated below there might be more than just 1-4 who would enjoy a piece of your Caregivers Pie, you can double the recipe. If this is your first pie crust, join the party, me too! Expand your horizons and carry on.

The Crust: I am not a flaky pie crust lover so will make a hardy crust! I really need to hold it all together and that doesn’t happen with a flakey crust!

1 ¼ of inspiration (you might have to search for this one)

½ cup of soften comfort. Please soften this comfort before adding

½ sweetness, hugs, smiles, laughter, whatever you have on hand

¼ cup of overwhelming nerves, this cold-hearted ingredient mixes in easily with the softened comfort

Combine in a big bowl use your hands to wring some anger out. It will become crumbly, and this is expected with these hard to work with items, kneed with equal parts frustration and dedication to enjoy the best crust outcome. Place it in the fridge to enable the crust to stay strong.

Once you have made the filling, grab a rolling pin, and roll out the shell with all the hope and empathy you can muster.

Pie Filling

2 1/2 cups of Patience (sifted with calmness and sensitivity)

3 ¼ cups of inner strength, (to be found in local church of your choice)

2 cups of sweetness, (If you don’t have enough sweetness available to you at this time, try adding 3 cups of smiles for help with the sugariness. As this ingredient can sometimes be hard to find, use what you have available in your cupboards).

1/2 cup of personal care

1/3 cup of transportation (double this amount, if it is to and from)

Stir dry ingredients together knowing that they will interact with one another in a healthy way.                                                                                                                          Take dry ingredients and add some wet kisses on cheeks, hands and forehead for special moments.

Add some tenacity, this can vary so chose carefully the amount to use, add 3 or 4 sliced and diced cups of tenacity which will hold the filling together.

Sprinkle with love, the amount you use will depend on your palatableness.

Stir gently but with conviction, the last and most important addition, a heaping tablespoon of affection.

Once all is mixed together, Pour all these feelings into the pie crust.

Place the pie in the oven. The oven temp seems high at first, but is needed to create the optimum pie solidification, leave on high for 10 minutes. At this point, most can turn the temperature down to a respectable thermal reading.

Listen carefully to the timer and remove from oven of emotions. *Please, please remember to let cool before you take your first bite.

You have now accomplished the art of caregiving through pie making. I know your finished product will be a resilient dessert. We do the best we can to make the recipe we need to, a confident mindset to achieve what is in our cookbook!

Each person has their own cupboard of ingredients that are their favorites to use so each pie will turn out differently. We do our best to create the recipe, but we all know that we use what we have and what is available to use. In the end if you bake with faith, your pie Will eventually be a little slice of life!
