Shuri

When I first met you in kindergarten, your hair was messy and I could barely see you really but despite your ruffed appearance, it was clear that you were well cared for. You hang out with everybody else even though they picked on you when I spoke up about it, I didn't do it for you but for the fact that the other kids were annoying. After that day I noticed you started to look my way… I was confused because I was messy I wore old clothes my hair was always messed up and I was covered in bandages when you approached my afterschool with those bright eyes it was the first time I was scared by anyone other than my father, you followed by around like a lost dog looking for its owner.” I don't want you around…” that's what I kept telling you but despite that you kept following me and I started to enjoy your presence growing up with each other we realized we both live the same lives despite our opposite appearances. Whenever I visited you your parents barely looked your way, you had everything you could have wanted but it wasn't what you needed. We didn't have a place that felt like home, no one that we could call family, and no one who could love us for us we were like strays but we stuck close together hoping we could find a place to belong and love. I grew up in a big family with many people by my side. But they never acted like one... family isn't just a title but a role we each have a part to play I grew up with nothing and when I finally had something to myself I did whatever I could to not let go. You always gave to others and I wanted to do the same thing for you

Danny

I knew you were there... but despite that, I continued to ignore you and still stuck with the people who never cared for me... when you had defended me when they were picking on mei knew you defended me because you actually cared till this day you deny that. I can tell deep in your heart that you did it for me... I followed you around everywhere although you were avoiding me... when I fell into the snow while running after you... you stayed and checked if I was okay... I noticed the more I stuck to you the more you opened up.... I always thought of you as the strongest person in the world, you never cared about what anyone ever said about you and you always put up a wall but I eventually figured out that all walls have cracks.....I saw how your father treated you and neglected you and there was nothing I could have done... I was just a kid.. the tears that welled up in your eyes when you started to cry endlessly and the bruises on your body were more visible " I'm so sorry Danny.." you kept apologizing to me even though you were the one who deserved the apology. Beneath that rough and harsh exterior, there was just a scary cat who just wanted to be loved and cared for properly... the reason you were so harsh on others was that you were mirroring what you grew up knowing, you had become the way you are because of the way you grew but i know that doesn't define you. I want to be the place you go to when you want to feel at home, I wanna be the person you call family when you look for when you feel lonely and I want to be one of the people you love when you need it. I patched the crack in the wall you had built up and I will make sure they never break again.

We ran into many people just like us who live in a place that they can call home or have people they call family. We all sheltered each other and were there for each other because we knew nobody else would be if we hadn't..we all lived different lives and had different pasts but we all lived the same way. Even though we may not be related by blood we are much stronger as a family and we stick together no matter the costs

Our encounters

it was a snowy day around the time they were in kindergarten. "Shuri!!" dany had called out to her, who had been wandering around peacefully. He put his arms up in the air running to her with a big smile. She jumped at the mention of her name and tried her best to get away but those short legs of his sure could run.

"getaway! I told you not to bother me " She continued to run until she heard a thump. when she had turned around, Danny had fallen face flat onto the snow. She flinched slightly approaching him to see if he was okay. "are you alright?... Danny got up slowly patted the snow off himself and gave her a smile which Shuri gave him a worried look and extended in her hand. "You're crazy" she continued to part off the remaining snow off him. They walk side by side "Next time you fall I'm not going to look back you gotta get back on your own" Danny smiled to himself his eyes were sparkling with happiness at the fact that Shuri wasn't running away from him anymore To that Danny nodded but no matter how many times he fell Shuri always looked back and helped him.

.

.

Danny would often fall unpurpose just because knew that Shuri would always catch him. Danny was a chubby kid growing up and rarely ate because the other kids would make fun of him but Shuri would always give him half her food because she knows how it feels to not eat. No matter what these two will follow each other to the end of nowhere
