A Secret Passage by: Tiffany Snyder

Do you believe that there are other forms of life out in the universe? Is it safe or even plausible to think that other beings live in the universe?  In today’s topic up for discussion, I’ll ask my viewers to have an open mind. To my loyal fans I appreciate all the love and support you have given me and riding along on this journey to understanding life mysteries. For those that are unfamiliar with my work or who I am. My name is Amara, the princess of controversial thinking. I am an astrologist, astronomer, social media influencer, and psychic. I believe in the unknown and that everything despite its size is connected to the existence or extinction of planet earth. Yes, I know at first glance many may think I’m a little off or weird, but the truth is I’m just a messenger. As a lot of you are aware there is an eclipse coming up soon. While many are excited about the celestial event and want to be one of the millions that catch a glimpse of its occurrence. I wonder how many know of the myth behind phenomena. Amara sips a few sips of her tea and then fidgets with the ends of her curly hair. Ladies, gentlemen, and the entire human race brace yourself for the story and personal insight I have in store for you. She stares into the camera with her big brown chestnut-colored eyes with intensity. Taking in deep breaths and rubbing her fingers together she looked away from the camera as if someone or something was in the room with her. My mind is very sensitive to my environment. I can sense things before they happen, I can predict futures with the help of the universe with accuracy. I get my information from the earth itself.

Without boring you with a course in history about the universe, or the details about the first eclipse putting quotation marks in the air. I will explore the myth. As many of you are groomed to believe there is only one solar system, with certain planets and no other life form living.  Another theory or myth suggests that this may be incorrect. Stay with me guys, an eclipse basically occurs when the moon blocks the light from the sun which interrupts the sun’s mission to light up earth. Now back to the first questions I asked at the beginning of the show. “Do you believe that there are other forms of life out in the universe?” Well, the story goes that there are numerous creatures that have different life cycles and needs in the universe.  Many for some reason or another lose their home and go out into the universe to find a new one. These creatures use the signal from an eclipse as a passage, window, or door to other planets. They are built differently than humans and therefore can travel through space unseen. They are only allowed to travel during these moments. Those moments are what we see as an eclipse. So, when the moon blocks the sun or moves a bit closer to earth it signals that a approved opening exists. The creatures then make their move quickly. It’s only a short amount of time for the creatures to escape from one destination to another. The sun is very powerful and is viewed as a key component in keeping the universe on the plan attended. Whereas the moon is seen as an advocate to those that lost their way. I know many can’t even comprehend the thought of life outside of earth. Or that a star, or an object that orbits around earth being aware of its surroundings. Just because I personally did not see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I’ve done my research. I’ve read plenty of news articles, reports, and seen actual videos on strange animal encounters from all over the world.  So, my argument is that it's possible that other life forms live outside of planet earth. Their existence probably goes under our radar. How can we be so sure that every eclipse doesn’t leave some unearthly creature behind. We assume creatures are huge, enormous beings but what if they are small as ants. Or disguise themselves as humans. We do not know the effects the sun and moon have on them. Now be honest how many have seen or heard about scientists discovering an unusual animal. How many had seen the news about cases where people came across things that are hard to explain. Things that have similar characteristics of species we are familiar with but are different. Earth is being invaded right under our noses. Amara gets up and starts pacing the floor. Before I end this, I just want to remind everyone to pay attention to the details. Once again, we have reached the end of an amazing show. Sending out warm hugs with big smiles and appreciation to all those that took the time to join me. Until next time, I hope to see you and some new friends here at The Amara show.  Amara heavily heartedly turned off the camera, lights, blew out the candles, and closed the door to her studio.

Days later a group of young adults were getting ready for the eclipse. The group consists of two guys Dakota, Levi, three girls Hazel, Madison, and Summer. They all grew up together and became best friends instantly. Levi borrowed his father’s SUV so everyone could ride in the same vehicle. They stopped at one of the stores nearby store and brought solar eclipse glasses. The town they lived in was a rural area and had plenty of open space to witness the event. There were a few destinated places you could get the sighting and share the moment with other people from the town. The group decided on the field. There were only a few houses near the designated area. The houses were miles apart from each other with only a few trees and no heavy traffic. So, the group thought this would be a great place to see the eclipse with little distractions. Summer is the most easily influence and begin talking about The Amara show. “What do you guys think about the that stuff Amara was talking about the other day?” The two guys looked at each other and laughed. Summer, Summer they stretched her name in a sarcastic way, “you believe anything someone tells you.” “Of course not.” “Nothing lives outside of earth.” “We are a superior planet, and because we are the only planet that has life on it, it what makes us special.” They guys chest bumped into each other then started beating on their chests. Dakota smiled as he rubbed her knee. She moved his hand away and rolled her eyes. Madison chimed in and replied, “I don’t know guys how you can be so certain”. “You have faith, right?” Levi raised his eyebrow,” yes I do.” “My parents had faith and their parents had faith and so, but isn’t that just word to mouth beliefs”? “Have you ever witnessed or seen God himself?” Dakota was beginning to tense up “why would God create other types of life and not tell us”. The whole group begins to giggle. Madison turned to Hazel “what do you think”. “I think” in a shy but timid voice. “I don’t want to make this night about religion, but I do believe it’s possible that other things live outside of earth”. The group just sit in silence for a few minutes pondering each other’s point of view. Levi broke the silence first. “Now that the moment of silence is over let’s draw our attention back to the main event”. The group agreed and laid back on their backs placing the glasses over their eyes and watched as the moon blocked the sun which seemed so unreal. Two very visible things in the sky that only cross the same path a few times a year.  Before the completion of the eclipse Summer heard an unusual noise. It was very low, so low that she felt like if she moved, she wouldn’t be able to hear it. The consistency of the noise causes her to raise her head and look around. She gasps when she notices a person only a few inches away from her. She thought this was strange because she knew for a fact that no one was beside them before she put her glasses on. She looked around and no one else seemed to notice. She looked back at the person but this time the person had its finger up towards its mouth to notion for her to be quiet. Summer just laid her head back down in confusion. After the excitement had passed and the event was over. Summer looked around for the person she had seen earlier. But, to her surprise no one was close to them. Hezel and Madison saw Summer’s face and questioned her about her expression. Oh, it’s nothing. Summer did not want the group to think she was crazy. Because technically she didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Just a guy that gave her uneasy feeling. The group ended their time together with something to eat at a nearby mom and pops restaurant, said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. Summer felt restless for the rest of the day and when it was time to sleep, she had trouble. She kept seeing a pair of golden-orange eyes with vertical pupil’s slits like a cat. She tossed and turned all night but eventually went to sleep. She knew she needed answers, and she had an idea on where to get them. Summer reached out to Amara and Amara agreed to meet her. Amara had a few rules in place that summer had to follow. The meeting had to take place in her home, but no videos or pictures were allowed to be taken. Amara was the perfect hostess she offers refreshments and snacks. The two made small talk before Summer brought up the reason of wanting to meet. Amara gave a faint smile. “I already know why you are here.” “You are curious about whether you have seen a creature from out of space. Summer clamped her hands together and laid them in her lap slightly hunched over with her legs crossed. “The answer is yes”. “How do I know you are not just saying that because that’s what you think I want to hear”. Summer begins shaking her head side to side frantically. Amara comforts Summer the best she could. “Why is this happening?” Summer asked. “I believe the stories that were told to me and passed down throughout this country”. “These beings are looking for a new home because something happened to their home”. “They could have been on their way to extinction and for them to survive they wonder out looking for a place to reproduce”. “Unlike things from our past such as the extermination of dinosaurs”. “Which we believe was caused by combination of things like the impact of an asteroid, climate change, or volcanos interruption”. “These creatures that come to earth found a way to adapt and continue their race.” “That’s impossible Amara”, “is it really Summer?” “Humans are not perfect, but they found a way to the moon.” “This world does not belong to us we just live here”. Summer thought about it and tried to make sense of the information. She ultimately concluded that as of right now she hasn’t heard of these things killing off mankind. Summer, Amara said in a high-pitched voice “I believe this is just a part of a bigger plan made by the creator of life.”  Summer eventually got a hold of her anxiety found some relief. She still had a million other questions running through her head. When suddenly Amara turn the volume up on the television, which was playing the news. The news showcases a few pictures that was taken by people who were able to catch the recent eclipse. The segment talked about numerous strange encounters with unusual animals popping up all over world. Warning people to stay away from these animals and to report them immediately. The two women looked at each other with concern. Amara and Summer agreed that it would be hard to prove. They didn’t have enough evidence or resources to prove life exist outside of earth. After a few days things went back to normal with only a few sightings of something strange.

Years and years went by, and Summer was an old woman in her 90s with great, great grand kids. She always told them about her own personal experience and beliefs every time an eclipse would happen. They would pass the story down to their kids and their kids after them but every now and again one of them would repeat what and outsider said about her story and claim its just a myth with circumstantial evidence. Shortly after, the last sighting of an eclipse Summer’s health begins to fail. She laid in a hospital bed counting down the minutes to her death. When a man with golden orange eyes walked in and laid his hand on her hand and smiled. She looked up and said” it’s you,” she died seconds later knowing the truth of what an eclipse represent.
