The Man In The White Pickup Truck

Two best friends went missing on fourth of July night. They was last seen at Olyvia Funckle, parents house, they was both walking to Frankie's house, after the fireworks was done, Olyvia mom told her to call when she got there. She never did call her that night because a man in a white pick up truck took them. Olyvia mom didn't worry too much that night because most of the time she would forget and call the next morning. That morning though she did not call, by noon Barbara, called Janet asked if the girls was awake yet? Janet answered her in an confusing voice, wondering what Barbara was talking about. Barbara, the girls never came here last night,I thought they was at your house. Both Barbara, and Janet voice started to crack in panic. It's not like them to never call even if they are little forgetful and don't call the night they always call first thing in the morning though. They hung up the phone,and Barbara picked Janet up and they both went to the police station to report a missing person. You would think they'd just call, and make an report over the phone but Barbara,and Janet thought it would be more dramatic in person. They spoke to the sheriff Bill,Johnson, and his response was I'm sure they're just caught a ride with a friend. Janet responded to Bill in a angry voice and told Bill those two are they only thing each of them have, just been both them against the world since kindergarten. You, know these girls Bill since they been in diapers so you know they just don't wonder off so you better put out an missing person report before we leave here. Bill had a smug look on his face but he done what Janet asked of him because he was terrified of her. The report was made and the search was on for them was on. Little did they know they was in the basement of the guy in the white pickup house. The guy kept telling Olyvia she can go that he only wanted Frankie, Olyvia wouldn't leave her friend behind. Who are you, why just her? Olyvia asked. The guy got tired of her asking so he finally gave in and said it's her mom's fault. Neither one knew what he meant by that since Frankie never seen the guy in her life. Both scared locked in his basement trying not to make him mad because when they do they get smacks in the face. Both faces bruised up from all the smacking in face from not knowing any answers he was asking. Questions like who is Janet dating but every time Frankie said no one he smack them in the face. Frankie was telling the truth, because for once Janet wasn't dating no one she decided to focus on herself for once. Janet had a bad track record when it came to men,and this time she was paying for it. The man in the white pickup truck got rejected by Janet and he didn't like it so he was taking it out on her daughter. Frankie was the only thing Janet cared about, and the guy in the white pickup truck knew that. He thought if I can't have Janet I'll take what matters the most. The guy tired his best to just take Frankie but Olyvia wasn't giving up when he was taking her too was easier. Three days has gone by the search was still going strong, but the girls was getting weak from him beating them because he didn't believe them. The guy in white pickup truck didn't like rejection very well. He went back up stairs and left the girls alone for awhile, and in that time Frankie told Olyvia to go. Olyvia said I can't leave you,but Frankie said it was okay she would be fine if he let's you go you can save us. Olyvia gave in and lucky for her the offer still stands so she ran free. Olyvia was hoping it wouldn't be to late for her friend she was hoping she would make it back into town before he done something horrible to Frankie. In Olyvia mind she was fine but we all know that is not going to be true. Olyvia took all her straight to get back into town and lead them back to Frankie. By the time they got to his place and to Frankie she was barely breathing. The man in the white pickup truck was gone never to be found. Frankie was lifelighted to the hospital she ended up fine. The moment she woke up there was tears in Olyvia eyes and Olyvia said thank God you're okay. Frankie smiled and said what you think I would leave its us against the world right. Olyvia laughed and said right. They never talked much about that after that. Janet didn't leave Frankie side after that always making sure where she was. They became lot closer after that. Janet she changed her schedule at work so she no longer worked nights so Frankie wouldn't stay home alone anymore, and made sure she stayed with Olyvia during the day until school started up. Frankie was okay with it because she always wished her mom would be in her life more she just wished it wasn't like this though. Frankie was angry that it took a kidnapping to get a close relationship with her mom. Frankie knew wasn't on purpose for Janet to be absent in her daughter life. Being a single mother is hard Frankie knew that but never said anything about it. Janet will and forever probably blame herself for what happened to Frankie and for now on she made a promise to herself to be a better a better mom. Janet started by taking the girls school shopping since school was about to start up again and after school shopping they went to the county fair. Janet never left the girls site.
