My arm!, I think we got to cut it off, “no! don’t be crazy,” my cousin Cheech said, you saw that snake bite me and we can’t go to the hospital, c’mon Cheech, it will be fa….I mean fasss…. “I think the venom is spreading,” well no duh sherlock is what I would say if I didn’t feel like my arms was going to fall off, I mean everybody dies right but even I can’t explain this one. NO one would of thought that my death was caused by a snake right? Not to mention how I got here in the first place. Yo le..le...puff...pu...passs… “Hell no, you aint hitting none of it until we get you right,” fu...fu… “spit it out Chong!,” Nun. “Ok fine!, here!, but don’t say I didn’t tell you, stupid ass!,” it hurts but atleast i can think about something else, like how in the world did this happen?.

I am nobody special I think, I grew up in a quite suburban neighborhood dad was shipped to war and mom was just an ordinary nurse that took care of me and my cousin Cheech. I call him that because nobody could out do him in drinking and smoking well except for me that is that’s why people called us cheech and chong but apart from that I went to school, had debate club after because Cheech was my around my age he always stuck with me wherever we went until we got to senior year of high school and then we got a little separated but we always had the debate club and The Rollers that's what we called the group that got together to smoke hash and got the occasional lip lock from the pretty girls, It was me Cheech, Rico and shaggy, so yeah ordinary. The debate club ran after school on everyday of the week except Wednesday’s and that’s when The Rollers would meet and weekends too. It was the week before spring break and it started off weird, I guess by my standards it started when I woke up Earlier than usual, I did get a little wake and bake going on to calm the anxious feeling, but I still couldn’t let it go.

Wednesday came and I was on my way to the usual meeting spot a.k.a my house, but I ran into Bella my ex-girlfriend who left me for another guy but I mean I was secretly having an affair with her hot college sister but we were on good terms kinda, actually she almost stabbed me, but Cheech saved my butt but i think it was reasonable that doesn’t mean she ain’t crazy, so I bumped into her on my way but she was crying, I didn’t want to pry so I walked passed with my head tucked but she has like a personal radar because as soon as I was about to turn the corner she called out and pointed, so I had to stop, I asked why and she landed one right in my gut as looked up she replied “because you abandoned me,” I laughed. She said “you can’t leave me alone like this,” I walked away slowly as she was speaking, she kept following me to the point where she is sitting down in the circle. I looked around and everyone else had a girl on their lap except for Rico. He is our childhood friend and neighbor but he’s gay so he had his boyfriend with him and he usually just sits there watching or doing his homework or whatever but I felt some anxiety because I ditched the girl I planned to bring so my phone was blowing with her just sitting there and I could tell she was wanted to, but i don’t do throwbacks I mean ex's, it’s like a taboo in my book.

I held off as long as I possibly could but I couldn’t, I think they sat me up because at the exact same time they all stood up and left the room and left me in the living room with her, she started with small talk but I quickly shut it down and we started making out, I took off my shirt and turned up the music to drown the banging on the wall until my mom walked in through the front door as I was just about to hit a home run, I stopped and looked her dead in the eye and I could feel the flames of hell burning my soul with her glare. We had a signal Cheech and I for times like this after my mom turned the music down I said the safe word which was “pizza’s here,” which meant to clean the house up which he did and walked put like he just woke up from a nap to check the situation, I gotta admit he was pretty good goddamned actor but he pulled it of, I got the blame and he walked away scot-free, she scolded Bella but I convinced her not to call her parent’s because she was my ex and she spent the night tons of times but I knew she wasn’t coming back. I ran to my room where Cheech was waiting with a pre-roll and we smoked the night away, the rest of the week passed by really fast and spring break came and Cheech and I decided to take a trip to sunset valley where we can clearly see the stars at night. Cheech quickly found his next victim and everybody else was on board so I don’t even remember how but Cheech talked me into bringing Bella which I admit still felt bad about the last time but I promised myself after this no more.

We hit the road on the Monday morning, everybody had their own boredom killers and me I had this knot in my stomach but it went away after a quick restroom break and Cheech stopped with the guys and they all tried to tell me to hook up with Bella, I threw up the middle finger and walked out, we cracked some cans of Colt45  and cracked some jokes along the way and it seemed to speed up time. We arrived not too long after, we settled into a cabin that belonged to Rico’s late grandfather. Riddled with dust, spider, mosquitoes and everything else that seemed to bite, but slowly we swept, brushed, dusted and washed every nook and cranny of that cabin until the smell of lime from the freshly polished floors but it still didn’t feel right some how maybe I was just too buzzed. Night came and darkness fell on the cabin as we sat by the campfire we built so we passed around a pre-roll and we started telling stories but we were quickly disturbed by the moaning of Cheech’s nympho girlfriend or whatever he calls her, so they decided to go back inside and the rest followed, Bella stayed behind as I was putting out the two fires so she sat right across from me the wood crackling in the fire between us and I couldn’t help but ask why she came, she told me “because, I still Love you,” so I quickly changed the subject but she changed it back and I told her what she wanted to hear because I’ll be damned if I sleep alone tonight we chatted for an hour and went back inside and we didn’t get much sleep that night. We were the last to get out of bed and all we walked out on was some smiling dummies staring at us like movies or something but we payed them no mind.

The days at the cabin moved fast like the universe was telling us to hurry up an leave but the fun we were having messing around the lake, all the talks at the campfire and the sleepless nights seemed to fade as the days went and the last night came, it was the day we planned to watch the meteor shower so we packed the coolers, blankets and chairs and headed for an old cliff 2 miles down from the cabin without any light the darkness of the night, hiding it’s creatures waiting for their next victim. We got to the spot and set up the chairs and blankets, everybody was cuddled up with their significant other trying to keep warm with a small campfire but I had to use it so I went in the bushes but someone thought it was funny to try and scare me but I quickly reversed it, I heard the talking about and they had loud footsteps too. I sneaked up from behind when they were trying to get close to where they thought I was and it freaked them out so much they scattered in every direction. I then walked back to the campfire when I realized that only Cheech’s girl friend was alone so we sat there until we felt too cold so we went into the car to get warm where things got heated and one thing lead to another until the slamming of the door stopped us, it was the others looking for us. Cheech didn’t say a word, he just walked to the back to grab his bat, I quickly got out and headed back into the bushes were I laid in wait for things to die down. I could hear the wild animals trampling the leaves, even they could feel the blood-lust. I laid there for 20 minutes until I realized I couldn’t move my arm. I called for Cheech immediately, he came running with this look in his eye, I realized all he could see was red. Bella rushed to stop the rampaging Bull whilst Rico and Gavin carried me to the campfire where I collapsed and everyone grew silent. I woke up to everybody around me Bella and the other girls were crying, Rico said I was bit by a snake, Cheech didn’t hesitate, he was the first person I saw when I opened my eyes, I cried and not because I was bit but because my ribs felt like they were broken. I thought to myself “they probably are,” then if that’s the case then Cheech cut off my arm. “What are you talking about!?” My arm, I think we got to cut it off, “no! don’t be crazy,” If you don’t then I will, please Cheech it will be fas….fasss… suddenly a pair of headlights approached us and Shaggy quickly hoped out with an old woman who never even mentioned her name but we called her Nurse, she had grey hair, and skin pale as a ghost her skin was as dry as a raisin and her voice creaked screeched like a cat dragging it’s claws on the chalkboard and she smelled like cat food and cigarettes. She hobbled over to me where she checked my pulse and reactions and said I still have time but we have to act fast so Cheech asked “what can we do?,” Nurse with this glare smirked and said “In return I want to spend the night with you,” pointing at Cheech and Rico. Everybody gasped but me because I thought if I did then I would die instantly, he looked around and looked me deep in the eyes as tears dried up on my face, looked at Rico one last time and both agreed to do it no questions asked, she sucked out the venom and wrapped it up good and so we headed to her cabin just down the road, but little did we know that she was an exhibitionist, she added a new condition that we all had to watch and those 20 minutes felt like hell until she stopped moving, we called out to her but she didn’t respond so we tried doing CPR but it didn’t work. Cheech she’s gone, it’s over, “ yeah what are we going to do?,” get the sheets and the shovel in the back “Wait!” Bella said “we have to go to the police or call an ambulance,” Bella! Shut up, look at me, we can’t do that, Cheech, grab the sheets, Rico get the bleach, Shaggy get the car ready and I’ll calm the girls down. Hey, calm down it’s going to be alright. I saw the look they gave me and I could tell they were hopeless, take a sip of water but please you have to stay with me.

“I got the sheets,” “I got the bleach,” alright spread the sheet and grab the legs and let’s put her on it, Rico get ready with the bleach, now let’s get her to the car before it starts getting light out. We all jumped in the car and went back to the old hill to the bushes where the snake bit me and I was meant to dig alone because it was my fault, I did and an hour later we threw the body in and finished it up. My clothes muddy ,the crack of dawn slicing through the darkness of the night, as we watched the sunrise we sworn an oath of silence as we shed blood we never did.

After all that it was Monday again and it was back to our normal lives except Cheech decided to confess his love for the girl that was supposed to be a fling turns out her name was Juliet and she stuck to Cheech everywhere he went so you can imagine a second with never seemed dull. Rico’s parent’s sold the cabin and he signed up for the navy, he just focused on getting ripped but we still chat every now and then he usually brings souvenir’s or exotics as I call them. Scooby enrolled at an out of state college on a scholarship apparently he was a potential candidate to create the next generation virtual reality gaming network which I thought was crazy and he still lives the bachelor life but i guess somethings never change. I got together with Bella, at first I was just trying to keep an eye on her but then we ended up there, I got a job at a convenience store nearby and I just didn’t think of college, simply speaking I am broke and the debt just didn’t sound appealing. The day of graduation finally came and we said goodbye to each other one last time, the memory of that night wouldn’t fade and even though we all had smiles on our faces i could tell we really needed to get out of this school and to get out of this town but the Rollers will meet again, maybe?.
