The following speech was written 37 hours before the wedding by Adam Johnson Sandlers, (the husband). The strikeouts were found on the original copy, it is copied exactly as it was found.

I would like to propose a toast to the deadly beautiful woman in white. Today, she will no longer be just my girlfriend, my fiance. She'll be my monster. My murderer. My end. wife. And as scared thrilled as I am for this moment, I would like to recount a memory before the ceremony. When Iris was a little girl, I met her for the first time. I was 11, she was 10. It was a horrifying, traumatizing innocent meeting, we met each other in a park. I found her with blood dirt on her hands. She was laughing. I recognized her from some of my classes. She was the kid you were told to stay away from who everyone talked about, whether it be good or bad. And she never minded, I thought that was brave of her, and I wanted to get away from her get to know her. I talked to her in class told her she had to talk to the police. Asked her to leave me alone. Beg her to leave me alone and she told me about herself. We got together when she nearly killed me. She attacked me on the street, and claimed it was a robbery. I got robbed at 16, she knocked the guy out with one swing. It was then that I realized I didn't have a choice I was in love with her. I told her right there when she made me choose. Live or be with her asked if I was okay. And, you know nothing of the truth the rest of the story. She threatened, almost killed, tortured me loves me. I'm scared for my life, scared of her in love with her. I hope that someone sees, she dies, I can get out of this we will be together forever. She is a monster, a murderer, someone to be afraid of. the woman of my dreams. Now, the toast. To Iris, the girl who will be the end of me caught my eye when I was to young to meet a murderer was looking for bugs, and what I found was much. Much worse. infinitely better. To the hope someone sees her for what she is Iris.

The following wedding draft was written 3 weeks (517) before the wedding by the wife (Iris Craw Sandlers currently, Iris Craw Oren at the time it was written)

I would like to propose a toast before the wedding. I'm sure that as you already know, me and Adam were made for each other, we fit together perfectly. He's a brave daring soul, I've always been a tender shy one. My favorite thing about him, has always been his devotion. Never once, has he ever made me think he wasn't trustworthy. He was always honest, faithful, and compliant. He realizes that he has to make some sacrifices, especially the big ones. Like washing dishes and that's a man I can respect. He met me when we were both 10 I believe. We had classes together before that, and I had noticed him. He wasn’t loud, but he was bold. And he wasn’t a great runner (sorry Addy). I thought he was sweet, smart, and he saw me. I met him at a park, how I don’t remember. But we talked, and enjoyed each other's company. Later in class, he came to talk to me. We got to know each other. Later, I was walking home when I saw him. As I’m sure you know, he was mugged when he was 16. I ran up behind the guy, and thumped his head with a water bottle. He passed out, and Addy looked at me. He talked to me, I tried to get him to calm down. Told him to be quiet. He told me he was in love with me. I was thrilled, then he kissed me. You know the story from there, we dated, and we got engaged. I love him more than I thought possible. So, the toast. To Addy. My beautiful fiance.

The following speech is a dictation of Iris Craw Sandlers on August 27th 2012. (30 days after the wedding). The speech was made at Adam Jonhson Sandlers funeral.

“I… I think I’m still in shock. That doesn’t take away the hurt, but it… it’s horrible. Addy was murdered in our home ten days ago. When I found him, I didn’t believe it. Addy’s sweet eyes didn’t belong on a corpse. He was stabbed, in a robbery. His life was ended because a monster thought he was in the way. [Pause in speech] I truly can’t comprehend what must be wrong in your head if you would do that to an innocent man. I… I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can continue.”

The following speech was made by Iris Craw Sandlers on September 12th 2012 on live television before she was taken into custody for the murder of Adam Johnson Sandlers.

“All of you are monsters! Monsters! That speech was fake, someone faked it! I would never murder my own husband. I never hurt him. Not once. Now I can’t even grieve him without you breathing down my back spreading lies.”

The following speech was made at Iris Craw Sandlers court hearing. It was dictated October 17th, 2012.

“I didn’t mean to. I wasn’t thinking straight. I was angry, he was cruel to me. I swear it. I was cooking for us, and he was yelling, and I was walking over to him. I was only going to comfort him I swear, then I slipped. I fell on top of him, and… you know. He was stabbed. I panicked, I made it look like a robbery and I ran. It wasn’t on purpose. I didn’t mean to do it.

The following speech is the last on this police report, it was a dictation of Iris Craw Sandlers last speech (testament) before her execution for the murder of Adam Johnson Sandlers, along with 7 other discovered murders. It was recorded March 13th, 2014.

“I don’t regret it. What I did. They all deserved it. Every one of them.”

Creative lead up to the truth. Then to find out it was habit forming.

👏👏👏👏... Wow, this is a very, very, very suspenseful and intriguing story. You hooked from the first paragraph. I love how you used the strikeouts to show us Adam's true feelings and experiences and how you used Iris's speeches to show her true colors. The plot for this story is amazing. I really think you should consider submitting this story into the contest. I'm pretty sure it has a chance of winning. Great story, Cedar. Keep writing!

Oooh, gripping ! I loved the way you used strikethrough to tell us the behind-the-scenes. I was worried that Iris would get away with it. Splendid work !
