out of my century

A 12-year-old nancy lawyer was running through the woods. Panting and out of breath she stumbled and fell through a hollowed-out tree for what seemed of years. The blood rushing through her veins spilled into her thoughts. Let's go back to the beginning before the woods, before the events leading up to her reborning very the beginning. 

Hi, my name is Nancy and I was born in 1934 in a small town. but when I was 12 I was moved into a concentration camp. My mom and dad died shortly after I was born. And here's my story 

"Number 67 get back to work" one of the soldiers called 

" yes sir" I replied 

" Are you sassing me girl"

" no, I just" 

Crack went his wip 

"owwwwwwwww" I hollered 

"Get back to work you brat" 

Normally I would have kept the argument going but I was tired so I stopped. 

A lot of things happened that shouldn't. Most of us only last a couple of years tops starve or are shot. 

" nancy" called raven her best friend in the world. 

"yes", I replied 

"Come quick it's Loretta" 

Run over to Loretta's corner 

" oh my gosh Loretta what's wrong," I asked 

You could see in Loretta's face that she was sick. Her eyes were red and her face was opaque. 

"I don't think I'm going to make it", guys she squeaked 

I grabbed her hand it was cold as ice she made a few subtle movements. But I'm the third one her body went limp. 

" help someone help me", I cried 

I was out of control living like a sister to me for the last 6 years you know she's gone. 

"It's okay she's in a better place" raven tried to comfort me 

Around two hours later the guards came round to collect her body. I decided that with raven, we were going to run away.

Around midnight. I snuck to her room 

" raven Raven, get up now let's go", I whispered 

" ugh what" she responded with an attitude 

"I'm going to break you out of here" 

" what do you mean" 

" I mean we're getting out of here I'm not letting you Die to" 

" and how do you suppose we do that " 

" I found a break in the fence you can get out" 

" what about you" 

"I'll be fine I'll be right behind you" 

" okay when are we leaving" 

" now" 

" yeah let's go" 

We snuck out grabbing our belongings and running. 

We were almost out when we got caught 

" runaways Runaways I need backup" 

We ran even faster we bolted towards the break we saw it 

Bang bang went a pistol 

"No" how are you I bolted back to grab her but it was too late I saw her lifeless body lying on the ground? 

I kept you running for everything that I believe in. 

As I slid under the fence my shorts got caught. Trying to free myself I knew the guards were getting closer. 

I used my right arm to detach it and I slid under it. 

I ran for what felt like hours. I parked Myself by a tree I sat down. I cried and I cried. I leaned back when the tree broke through and I fell. How do you spell at least 30 ft I guess now that the tree was overhead of a cave and when I hit the ground I didn't wake up. I saw myself lying there like a ghost. I tried to re-enter my body but nothing worked." hello" I yelled 

No one answered all of a sudden I fell back into my body and sat up open my eyes gasped for air. When I walked out I realized I wasn't in 1942 I walked around. Wake me up at tall buildings that look like they touch the sky. I grabbed the paper on the floor it said the Chicago Sun-Times the date was up at the top it said 2017. I didn't know at the time what that meant but I had time travel somehow years into the future. 

I found nothing of Nazis or concentration camps. 

I guess someone noticed out outdated my clothes were in came to me. 

" Are you lost sweetie?" the lady asked 

" where am I," I asked 

" Chicago are you all right" 

" How far away is Denmark" 

" Denmark Lake in Europe " 

" yeah " 

" over 6000 miles " 

I fainted and fell back next thing I realized I was the hospital. It was a small room with blue drapes. 

" Hello my name is the doctor Layla," the lady in the corner of the room said 

" I want to go home " 

" yes honey where is home " 

" Denmark Europe " 

" tell me where is your home" 

" I just told you " 

" don't have to lie where do you live " 

" I told you I live in Denmark" 

"I'm going to run your name what's your name kid" 

" nancy lawyer " 

About a minute passed 

" Okay give me your real name," she said 

" that is my name" 

" Okie kid I have 12-hour shifts stop pulling my leg what is your name" 

" I told you my name " 

" if you're Nancy lawyer that means you born almost a hundred years ago" 

" Yeah that's what I'm trying to tell you " 

" Okay I'm calling Child Services " 

Around three hours past and then a heavier-set man walked into my room 

" Okay kid I'm not here to play any games way down the facts" he sounded kind of like a manly husky voice 

" I already told you the other freak lady that my name is Nancy lawyer I'm from Denver Europe " 

" where's your mom and dad kid" 

" They died when I was little " 

"I'm sorry to hear that but who you been staying with" 

" I grew up in a nazi concentration camp" 

" okay Miss lawyer if what you're saying is true then how did you get here" 

" I don't know if I did I wouldn't be here " 

The man stepped out of consulting with himself deciding if I was crazy. What type of window was open a crack I walked over towards it. It was about one story but it was overhead of a pool. This is my chance to finally Escape I've lost friends along the way, acquaintances, family and this is the day I'd show them how proud they'd be of me. I went over and lock the door so mister couldn't get to me. 

" kid let me in" 

" no" I screamed 

I open the window and dive down I have never felt so free all the blood rushing through my veins. The adrenaline pulsing through them. I landed in the middle of a pool I got out I shuck myself dry and running. I sat down in the middle of Park thinking about Raven of Loretto of my mom and dad. What have I done, nothing I've done nothing. 

All of a sudden a policeman ran after me 

" hey kids come here" 

I ran I got up and ran. 

I lost him after the 3rd block I ran and ran. Eventually, Forest came. I Heard a Voice speak to me 

"Nancy" 

" who's there " 

" it's me, Raven, " 

" that's not possible you're dead" 

" yes that may be true but I'm still present with you" 

" what do you mean " 

" I sent you to America" 

"Why" 

" you work so hard I couldn't let you die there " 

" I killed you" 

" no, you helped me" 

" I don't understand " 

"Why did you send me here " 

" When I died I saw you running the Nazis were coming they were going to kill you so I pushed you through the tree and I set you in America" 

" when may I join you" 

" when the time comes Goodbye old friend " 

" no come back raven come back " 

I thought about Raven had said and I understood. 

My life came to an end but with the help of her it started up again. Right now I'm adopted I go to school like normal kids, I've been to many therapists none believe my story but I know you will that's why I told you.
