Such simple and beautiful and kind ways to be a good soldier and warrior of God!
As with anything in life, sometimes it is not always easy to be a kind person. A kind individual. Groups sometimes cause us to “go along” in order to “get along.” Standing alone on principle with the principal should not depend upon what the goal of the day may be.🤭
As we learn and grow, life becomes complicated in many ways.Ways that cause anger to stir and spur in our souls. We can choose to take the easy way out. We can choose to go along with the wrong crowd for the sake of drama, or boredom or whatever.
At the lunch table and everywhere, God wants us to share our fruit!😇 And that may be ourselves in the form of a grape, berry or nut!
I know what you may be thinking, I am nuts! What in this world is being talked about here?
God’s word is not complicated at all. Unfortunately, as we learn and grow there is a devil like action that can take over our beautiful beings. As adults we sometimes falter.
Anger.
Ugh.
Anger.😡
Anger plays the host to a whole bunch of problems.
A whole bunch of wilted veggies and burnt toast.
When left unchecked can grow into wrath or rage. It is intense to say the least. Destructive to say the most.
If we do not learn how to properly channel its devastating effects, it can cause us a strong uncomfortable and non-cooperative state of being. We stomp our feet, punch a wall, punch the air. Grimace our faces. Exclude others. All in an attempt to manage it.
Aggression. Our inward angling eye brows become the face of the day and we may choose to scare others into submission.😡
What happens when anger takes us over?
Some professionals think that anger causes us to be mistaken.
Huh?
Anger can cause a loss.
O.k.
I think I get it.
Anger can cause a loss in self-monitoring capacity and objective observability.
Come again?
What does this mean?
Anger can cloud our judgment.
Don’t get me wrong.
Anger is not always bad. Anger is a normal, natural and mature emotion. As children, we are entitled to the benefits of learning about it. How to handle our angry emotions properly. We look to our adults to show us the way, show us how.(wk)
It is when anger becomes uncontrolled that we begin to see problems. It can negatively affect a person and their well-being. It can negatively affect those around them as well.
History shows us that even our ancestors struggled with the best ways to control anger toward another.
Galen and Seneca regarded anger as a kind of madness. Seneca argued that it was a mistake, in sporting contests, to become angry. Fury within us may make us play unfairly. Body check another. Body slam another.
Aristotle believed anger that has risen from perceived injustice
is beneficial and there is some value in the anger. The difference in people’s temperaments was generally viewed as a result of the different mix of qualities or humors people contained.
Seneca held that red haired and red faced people are not tempered because of excessive hot and dry humors.🥵
Question: How do you catch a squirrel?
Climb a tree and act like a nut!😃
(We needed a smile)
How is it best to handle anger?
Keep calm. Carry on.
Pray it daily with the God of peace and kindness.
Practice it daily with the God of peace and kindness.
Check the list above and see how you are doing.
He has seen us “blow our tops”. God brings us back to the reality that He always loves us and there is no need to worry about that which we cannot control in others.
Do you.
Be you.
Hint: Find a guide. A teacher. When young, the process of controlling anger should start because childhood is begun on the foundation of malleability.
The chance to learn and grow.
As good soldier and warrior of God and His kindness.
We can do it!
You can do it.
Fear may nudge at times and the best option seems to stomp or yell. It is ok. He forgave and always forgives us with His gentle lead. To take the better path of no blame game. Only,
Kindness.
It is worth repetition:
There is no such thing as a small act of kindness.
Be the kid you want others to see!
The kind kind.
The happy kid.
The good kid.
The noble kid.
The adults need you more than you may know. We rely on your innocence and goodnes to help us when we become angry about things we do not always understand.
Uncertainty.
Hurt.
Jealousy.
Pain.
Keep calm. Carry on!
It is always, always ok to ask for help!
From Him🙏🏻
