Halfway across the world from Asheville, in the city of Liverpool England, another life was being lived at the Notre Dame Catholic College for girls in the town of great Hamilton. The school was large and expensive, but Taylor’s parents were very rich. Taylor was tall and skinny and had creamy blonde hair halfway down her back, she had limbs like a ballerina’s and a smile like a models in a toothpaste ad. Taylor was what most people would call ‘good looking’ she had all of the boys drooling at her feet. Her life seemed perfect.
Taylor’s house was large and spacious, big and white, in the middle of a very grey street the building stood out like a sore thumb. Everyone seemed to think that because of the big house, nice hair, nice limbs Taylor was all set on a one way trip to popularity success, but with every too good to be true, there was a secret, one that can make every pretty thing turn ugly in just a blink of an eye. Taylor was attracted to girls. No one in her family knew her secret and no one at school knew her secret it wasn’t like she didn’t want to tell them she just didn’t know how, or how they would react.
Lou lived on a large farm in Queensland Australia with her parents and her dog Sheriff. Together they lived in a beautiful stone farmhouse where they ran a shearing business from there 50 acre backyard. This was their home. Lou had short spiky hair bright blue eyes and a forthright attitude. From birth, Lou’s parents knew that she was special, and from the moment she said that she didn’t want to be a boy anymore, they knew they were right. Lou was transgender and she was proud of it.
These three lives had two things in common, they were all unique, some would say messed up but each child was comfortable in their own lifestyles, and in every house on the kitchen windowsill was a small terracotta pot that held three wilted sunflowers, these flowers represented three very different lives, and eventually those flowers will grow tall and proud and stand once again.Halfway across the world from Asheville, in the city of Liverpool England, another life was being lived at the Notre Dame Catholic College for girls in the town of great Hamilton.
