To my inner angels who kept fighting against the demons of my mind, I want to thank you for it. And to those inner monsters of mine, thank you for being my inspiration for the nightmares that came out of these stories. To the angels who stood beside me while I battled the evil inside of under my own skin that I kept covered, these books and stories will represent how you have been there for me.
And to the younger me, who probably didn’t know that they were main character in their own grand tale; you were going to do great things. Don't you ever look back and question the choices that lead you to the me that I have become...
The green-eyed girl sat looking at the chess game as two more pawns moved forward along with a bishop. A smile appeared on her face as she called for two masked figures. One had metal legs and the other had long brown hair that went to her hips. The green-eyed girl’s smile grew as she moved her two pawns forward, “I have a job for you two.” ...
Zach felt a chill run down his spine. He reached into his hoodie pocket and felt the Devil’s Pen pieces move around. Zach stared ahead at the entrance of Wonderland; a maze of rose bushes. Adaline was telling him something, but he didn’t know what. Tina and Ethan stood on either side of him. Ethan locked eyes with Zach, “We will find Adaline.” Zach nodded and the three of them stepped into the maze, unaware of the fact that they were being followed by two ‘close friends’...
Arthur shook his head in disbelief, “I thought it would be here.” Cody and Liz stood by the witch’s gravestone while he paced back and forth. Liz laid a flower by the grave, “Well, it isn’t and now we can go to our world to help the search.” Cody sighed in agreement, “Yeah, dude. It’s getting late and maybe Zach and the others have it covered.” Arthor sighed, “ Okay, let’s go.” As he turned to open a portal, Lason and Angel came out of one. Lason pulled his elbow back to reveal that he had a gun built into it and started to scan the area. Angel locked eyes with Liz, “Are you ok? Were you followed?” Cody and Arthor exchanged glances. Lason kept his gun-arm out, “Adaline told us that your and Zach’s groups were in trouble.”...
Zach led the way as the maze thickened. Tina felt chills running down her spine for no reason. Ethan looked back at her, “Bae? Is something wrong?” Tina looked up to see Zach and Ethan had pulled out weapons and were looking behind her. Ethan had the Pen of Death in hand while Zach just held an ordinary hunting knife. Tina turned around to see two masked figures, blocking the way they came. The two took off their masks and dropped them onto the dirt, causing Ethan’s and Tina’s mouths to drop. Standing before them were Ashton and Ethan’s sister, Abby…
Ethan and Tina were in utter shock while Zach stood there with a confused expression on his face, “Who are you two?” Ashton's eyes had turned to a solid black as he grinned, “Well, I was just a kid trying to make my neighborhood better for kids like me, and Abby died protecting the one she loved only to find out that he should have died to save us the trouble.” Abby looked extremely pale and her lips were blue even though it was the middle of summer. Her deep emerald green eyes turned into the same black Ashton’s was, as the two of them stepped closer to Zach and the others. Zach stood his ground while Ethan stepped in front of Tina, tightly gripping the Pen of Death. Zach showed no emotion, “You two are dead, so what? I don’t get scared of death and I can’t go to hell because Satan has a restraining order; plus I have a friend to go and save so FUCK OFF!” Abby giggled, “Oh, tough guy,” she held up her hands and ice grew out of fingers like claws, “Are you scared now?” ...
The green-eyed girl looked down at the chessboard that now had two of her pawns in the field and the mysterious stranger’s two pawns, a bishop, and now two knights along with a rock and two other pawns. The green-eyed girl smiled as she went for one of her knights, “I hope you’re ready for a battle of a lifetime.” The door opened and a masked figure walked in. His lime-green eyes peered out from behind his bear white mask...
Adaline looked down at the game with sad eyes and sighed, “Zach and James need to trust no one at this point.” They rosed and reached for black side’s king, “Harper, I hope you can hear me.” Harper felt a chill run down her spine as Kelsey and her stepped through the portal. Kelsey looked at her, “Is everything alright?” His lime-green eyes twinkled when he spoke. Harper nodded as she thought about her new mission; to kill Kelsey before it’s too late...
Zach had never felt frostbite like Abby’s before; one cut from her claws stung like a bee and before he could realize it, he was covered in frost. Zach turned to see how Ethan was doing against Ashton; he hoped Ethan was doing better than him, but unfortunately Ethan had a black eye and a pretty rough bloody nose. Ashton’s new legs made him faster and harder to catch, but Ethan was the only thing standing between him and Tina who was still pregnant. Tina was pressed up against the six-foot bush wall, frozen in complete fear. Ashton grinned like a maniac, “DO YOU REALLY THINK SHE LOVES YOU AFTER WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO NOT ONLY ME BUT ADALINE AS WELL?!” He kept throwing punches and insults at Ethan while Ethan tried to doge out of the way. He turned to lock eyes with Tina, “I know that I can’t fix the past, but I do love you with every fiber in my body.” He turned back to Ashton and charged, holding the Pen of Death in front of his body as if it was a knife. The two of them then rolled around on the dirt, fighting to be on top of the other to stab the pen into him. Tina watched in horror as Ashton slapped the pen out of Ethan’s hand. The pen rolled past Zach’s feet as Abby tried to rip through his hoodie to get the Devil’s Pen. Zach bared his teeth, “Oh, hell no, bitch!” Zach’s brown eyes changed into a ruby-red as he broke through Abby’s claws with his knife. Abby flew back a few feet and was knocked off balance from the force. Ashton and Ethan both dove for the Pen of Death when Zach charged at Abby while she was down. Ashton got to the pen first, “I wonder what happens when I stab you with your own weapon,” he laughed as he rushed forward. No one saw that Tina had run in front of Ethan until Ashton had stabbed her in her chest, right above her heart. Tina fell onto her side after pulling Ashton into a tight hug. Ethan’s eyes widened looking from Tina to Ashton who was coughing up black ink and reaching for his side. Ethan was stunned; Tina had broken the pen and used half to stab Ashton in the back. Ashton fell face-first into the dirt and had stopped moving. Ethan rushed to Tina’s side, “TINA!” Ethan rolled her onto her back slowly as she bled out. She smiled sweetly up at him with tears in her eyes, “Save Addie for me, okay?” Ethan couldn’t fight the tears, “NO! YOU WILL BE OKAY!” Ethan turned to Zach for help only to find a crime scene. Zach, covered in blood, stood over Abby’s body. He looked worse than the body did; he had cuts on his hands and cheeks. His eyes were still red and his hoodie was torn up. Zach held the knife in one hand and the Devil Pen pieces in the other. Zack rushed over to Ethan and Tina, “I know a place that Addie made to heal the damage caused by the pens. It’s in the center of the maze; if we hurry she might make it.” Zach took off what remained of his hoodie and tied it around Tina’s wound to stop the bleeding. Ethan moved her carefully onto his back, “Let’s go!” Zach nodded as his red eyes slowly dimmed...
The green-eyed girl looked down at the chessboard with a blank expression. Two of her pawns were broken into pieces while the goth’s pawn was cracking. The green-eyed girl pushed her broken pieces off the board and picked up another pawn, “I wonder what is going to happen now.” She cuckolds to herself as she placed another pawn next to her opponent’s rock, two pawns, and their two knights...
